It is not going to happen. PN-G will take down Nederland and Memorial will have their way with Vidor.

Newton will play Arp. Thursday night Nov. 16 in San Augustine. Newton did not play Groverton, Hemphill is in our district. Silsbee, Bridge City, Diboll and E. Chambers are normally good teams, those teams just had a down year this year. Newton is trying to schedule WO-S next year. A lot of teams will not play us. What worries me is that we have not really been tested yet and not sure how we will react when we get tested in the playoffs.

Thanks for all you do. Praying for God's mercy, for it is with mercy that we are healed.

San Augustine peeps, need your help
purpleeagle replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
Go to Hwy 96 north and stay on it until you see the sign " San Augustine". In case you get hungry after the game, there is a McDonald's on hwy 96 that stays open late at night (better than nothing) -
Crockett shows one more kid than Woodville turned in last year. Looks like they are on the bubble to move up.

Bring/wear your long johns, temp at kickoff about 50 and down to 45 by 10 o'clock. 36 degrees by morning.

Newton 8th grade 56 Corrigan Camden 6 Run clock the second half. Newton JV 52 Corrigan Camden 8 Run clock last of second quarter and second half.

Newton 7th grade 44 Kirbyville 6

Is Newton JR high playing K-ville or Camden? I just sent a message to WT to see if we are at home today. I thought we were at home for the JR highs and JV games.

I went to the Kennedale game and if it wasn't for the bad centers over the QB head, WO-S would have beaten Kennedale real bad. I would be willing to bet that CT would fix this problem before the playoffs.
-
Not a problem with the center, it's the QB standing to close. He needs to move back about 40 yards. Problem solved.

SETXsports.com HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL RANKINGS - WEEK 8
purpleeagle replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
Personally I would rank WO-S no. 1 or tied with Newton for no. 1. I think WO-S has earned that respect until someone beats them, which may never be in my lifetime. -
Do you reckon that Neece just might have seen the hand writing on the wall? Kirbyville was down for several years until a certain coach (now at Ennis) came in and the kids bought into his program and turned it around. Good luck Kirbyville, you can turn this around because you have good kids .

Mc Kinney Back Breaks Texas Single Game Rushing Record
purpleeagle replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
Wow, a legit record, seeing that he did it against a pretty good team. -
I am sure the coaches have moved the kids into the best positions already. Sometimes you don't have the defensive talent and no matter where you move them you will still have a weak defense. Don't you know that if there was a better player for those weak positions that the coaches would have put that player there. In case you don't realize it, the coaches want to win just as much or more than you do. You are not a coach so quit trying to be one. You need to get your head out of the sand and move on.

These second and third stringers are getting valuable experience for this year and next year. They have to play to get better. Newton has a lot of sophomores on the varsity and Newton only has a JV team, no soph. or freshman team, so most of the JV kids are moved up to the varsity and the remaining JV kids are mostly 9th graders. This is there playing time. If your varsity cannot play against our moved up JV kids then the problem lies with Crockett not Newton.

Newton 7th 30 Crockett 14 Newon 8th 52 Crockett 18 Newon JV 54 Crockett 12 Newon V 71 Crockett 8 Hope Crockett gets their program back together. They have been a tough team to beat up to this year. Newton has a running back on the 8th grade that is a man among boys. Watch out for him next year, he will be on the varsity.

Newton tried to hold the score down. However, it is not Newton's responsibility to hold the score down, it was Crockett's responsibility to hold the score down. Newton wanted to run the clock the second half but Crockett did not.

Port Neches-Groves 44 Port Arthur Memorial 36/FINAL
purpleeagle replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
Excuses are for losers. Eat your crow and move on. Wal- mart sells wig to replace those scalps. You better start making excuses for Vidor. ( I hear the same ref's are going to be calling that game.) -

Newton 7th 30 Crockett 14 Newton 8th 52 Crockett 18 Newton JV 54 Crockett 12

Bluedoggy, Your are right, Newton is overrated, This is the slowest Newton team I have ever seen. They have been winning on pure luck and by the help of the refs. I don't think this game will be close. I can see Crockett winning by 2 or 3 TD'S. Newton is just hoping to finish third or fourth in district this year. However, I could be wrong. I will be down on the track during the game, when the game is over come down and see me, we will celebrate this great victory by Crockett.

Wow, Crockett lost last year by 21 points (42-21) Crockett is not as good as last year and Newton is much better than they were last year. Newton 52 Crockett 0 Newton will play their second and third team players the last quarter which should keep the score down, Crockett may score once on our subs. Crockett people might not want to know that Newton will get back 25 players next year from this varsity.
