That pitch sits in the mid-80s behind his fastball, which sits 90-94 mph but has touched 98 mph. At 5-foot-11 and 206 pounds, Dallas doesn’t have the traditional starter’s build, but when the University of Tennessee recruited him as a reliever, he quickly pitched his way to being the program’s No. 1 starter. Dallas put up a 4.19 ERA this season, striking out 122 batters with just 20 walks over 103 innings, showing strong control of the zone. His secondary pitches will need to catch up, but that cutter has loads of potential. Fun Fact: His nickname is “Cheese.” Dallas’ brother, Jack, is a pitcher at Lamar University and his father, Tony, played baseball at Panola College. In high school with West Orange-Stark, Dallas won consecutive Class 4A state championship games.
Quotable: When Dallas arrived at Tennessee, two of his teammates -- Connor Pavolony and Evan Russell -- didn’t think he was a pitcher. Instead, they admitted to him later that they first thought he was a catcher, as Dallas told Knox News.

I am just going to throw this out there, congrats to Coach Crouch on a long career where he built relationships with kids and helped them to become men, after as many years as he coached and was in the school system I hope he enjoys his retirement.  Congrats to Coach on retiring 

Mustang football is a deep tradition and a culture. The Program does not depend on transfers to succeed. It starts when they are young and continues through HS. Just this week, during the holiday's with the Mustangs out of the playoffs, I was driving down 15th st by the middle school and out in the field was about half a dozen youth, aged twelve or so, running cone drills. (No offense but when's the last time you saw that in BC)The mustangs may not make it to state anytime soon but that type of culture will make them competitive year after year.

I was impressed with Ned's running game, passing game and their defense. I think they will be very solid this year. 
I was impressed with same for WOS, but most impressed with their heart. I saw more heart last night than I did all of last season. To have 3 turnovers, several mishandled balls and have a come from behind 4th qtr win in a hostile environment is a pretty good deal.

Everyone in jasper has to be so proud of these kids.they exemplifies the meaning fighting to the end.these kids left it all on the field tonite. Jasper from the players to the coaches and everyone involved I salute you!! Great effort.
