Problem is, they didn't say they would "likely kill" the candidate. They said they wouldn't consider or approve anybody that was nominated. The constitution doesn't provide for that.

I don't know how to define gun nut, but I know them when I meet them. I have more guns than you, but i don't go off on crazy rants. So, is anybody that thinks more background checks are a good thing an "anti-gun" nut? I'm not trying to take your guns away, or anybody elses, unless they are violent felons. I would like for a background check to pick those guys up, even if it means that the casual seller has to do a little extra work. I'm willing.
