  1. Out of control.

What's out of control is the reaction from people over this!! Bad judgement during a play in a violent contact sport warrants an ejection and possible downtime the next game as well. Assault, are you freaking kidding me!! This is nowhere near the worse incident that occurs on the playing field are in the trenches, it just happens to have a camera on it. He was getting manhandled beforehand, was frustrated, reacted with another heat of the moment bonehead play, so be it. It's football, tempers and adrenaline get the best of us sometimes!!

  2. In politics you cannot have your cake and eat it too. IMO Trump runs the company like a business. No more outsourcing (to a degree) things that can be handled in house. The middle class would greatly benefit from the creation of jobs that his administration would create. I feel like Trump loves the accolades and praise so that's why he's appealing to the middle class, the more you praise and pump up his ego the more he will feel his duty to make the masses happy, which in turns makes him out to be the hero. As far as the congress and house, what else is new, rather it be a majority or not dividing lines on issues will always be there. It's the hand that feeds you gets the love. As far as Cruz is concerened, I think he is just not ready yet for the ultimate prize, he's kinda like Crosby, get to the doorstep (VP), wait your turn, then kick the door in after the country is turned around and we've all lived in peace and harmony for the past 8 years with a brand new Wall. Lastly, let CNN come after the Donald. I can almost guarantee you that after he got undressed on national television with the interview about the middle east factions, he will be game this time around. You do not get to where he is at without having the shrewdest and keenest aides in your corner.

    Go Crosby!!

  3. That is what the entire campaign has been so far, much less tonight's debate. Trump has skewed the actual media coverage of a political campaign to see what his next one liner will be. He doesn't say nearly as much as others besides "trust me" but he seems to get more air time than the other 15 candidates combined. I am not yet sure if it is good or bad but it is happening.

Do you not think the vast majority of intelligent hard working Americans feel a breath of fresh air from all the hype. Every politician has an agenda made up of one way or another a web of not so much lies but unfullfilled promises. Given the benefit of the doubt I think most want to do the right thing but their hands are tied by the PAC's and lobbyists that control them. With Trump, though brash and obnoxious at times, will not rely "as heavily" on outside influence. I really do feel that as his track record shows (barring some early in life experiences, don't we all have some missteps) he has the mental fortitude and savvy to surround himself with the "right" people. D.C. is broken and has been for decades probably since Camelot, its time for a fresh perspective. The Obama administration promised this fresh, new start that would revive the country yet it has failed to the nth degree. I say shakeup the fat cats in the capitol and after all isn't what we live in "reality..."

    GO CROSBY!!

  4. Trump will once again dominate tonight as he makes Jeb look like the incompetent fool he is. Carson / Cruz / Fiorina may challenge Trump somewhat but keep it minimal as they will be seeking a spot on the dream team cabinet.

Trump-POTUS / Cruz-VP / Carson- Surgeon General / Fiorina- Secretary of State / Gowdy- Attorney General / Lt Gen Neller- Secretary of Defense.

There you have it. Making America great again

    Go Crosby!!

  5. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to know what was probably said.. Heres the deal, if you have ever strapped on a helmet or a shoulder pad, you dam sure know that racial slurs are thrown around at will during every game.. If not, your team is probably 0 and whatever, and intimidated as hell... we live in a society where you can cheat, smoke dope, shoot roids, perform illegal hits, beat women, etc.... You might get a punishment, but if you do you can surely appeal it and have the sentence reduced... So that being said... What I would do to these kids and what is going to happen is 2 totally different things.. Whats crazy is that in real life, if I fail a drug test, guess what.. Im done, fired, c ya.... In football, you get a slap on the wrist... If I hit my boss, guess what, Im done, Cya.... As far as the race thing goes, thats just the easy card to play... If BG called me a Honkey, I would laugh at him, I sure wouldnt pull his head through my computer screen and slap him.....

You must've never read the Jefferson's script. I think you spelled it wrong unless you were meaning Donkey..

  6. They are of low character no matter what side of whatever town.

Heat of the moment was an Asia song in the early 80's not an excuse for assaulting an official. Heat of the moment is hitting an opposing player a couple of steps out of bounds or taking 3 steps to hit the quarterback after he has thrown the pass. What happened in that game was 2 kids mad at how the game had gone and conspired to take matters in their own hands.

First of all, I'm not sure how old the rest of y'all are, but I'm in my forties.  I can promise you that when I was growing up, NOBODY would have considered attacking a ref for any reason, period.  Secondly, people from my generation or at least the part of the world where I grew up would consider kids like these the biggest fematalia(s) in the whole world for ganging up on another person, period.  Think about it.... when you were kids, you would NOT want to be one of the guys that was part of a group that attacked another guy from behind.  It just showed fear and weakness on the part of the attackers.... In today's culture, not only is the gang-attack mentality accepted, we study the "instigation" to try and place blame on the guy that got jumped.  It's a sad reflection on today's youth and the lack of parenting that they have received.

Next, the whole "racial slur" excuse is ridiculous.  Is that word offensive?  It seems like it would be.  However, when everybody from the President of the United States to athletes to rap artist use the term without any condemnation from the masses, but a ref throwing it around (allegedly) is justification for a gang attack?  Really?  I blame the race pimps that try to teach kids that there is a difference between "killer" and "killa" based on the color of the speaker's skin.  It's like saying the f-bomb is only offensive when spoken by a virgin, who has no idea what the word actually means.  When everybody gets together and says "hey, look.... either it's offensive or it's not" then people can move forward.  I'm willing to bet that both of these two thugs (errr.... can use that one anymore- I mean "misguided youths"), have ipods full of the same "racial slur" that they are accusing this ref of using.... as if that's any type of defense.

The behavior is unacceptable, inexcusable, and deserves the harshest of punishments.  There is no defense that justifies a coordinated, group attack on an unsuspecting person.   Period.  Condemning their actions on the internet does nothing to stop this type of behavior, or prevent copycat attacks.  Harsh punishment might.

    Rant over.

Thanks for the throw back to the 80's but that's two different kinds of "heat" in this situation :) and I am a child of your generation and I'm saying you play this game with passion and adrenaline. It is a violent sport and harsh at times. Again, no way condoning hitting a helpless receiver, I mean referee, but situations occur from a kids perspective that their young minds might be clouded and only seeing red. If you were brought up in the Kenny Rogers type household to turn the other cheek then you may see things differentlly but all are not as fortunate to be raised in that type environment. So all I'm saying is, until you've walked in them type shoes passing judgement is irresponsible. Bottomline, the kids made a harsh mistake and condeming them not even knowing their background and just stereotyping is wrong. Due Process.....

  7. Plus one I stated the same thing at the beginning of this post and got crucified for stating the same thing.

I never said I condoned the actions of the kids, but until you are placed in the same exact situation as the two boys were placed in (Which we don't know what exactly led to this and probably never will, because there are always two sides of a story and popular opinion automatically takes refs side) you don't know how you would react. You can hope that you would react differently and you can say what you would do in any moment until thrust into that situation you just really and truly don't know.

The heat of the moment could possibly lead to after the game if your frustration levels and adrenaline are through the roof, again you just don't know until in that situation.

I have not seen anywhere in a news article that says this is the first time for this to ever happen. It just got captured on video, same thing as Ray Rice. He would still be playing in the NFL if it wasn't on video, just like all the other idiots (Adrian Peterson) are.

What if it was your child that did this? Would you want the legal system to get involved and lock them up? If you can honestly say you would want the book thrown at them then you have other issues.

Hopefully for these boys they have a strong family support system and it is a life lesson for the both of them. I stated previously that we don't know anything about these boys. They maybe model citizens that have never gotten in any trouble, but I see where people automatically profile them because they are from the West Side of San Antonio, so they must be of low character.

Excellent post, we live in a country that is suppose to gather all the facts before we presume guilt. Unfortunately, that rarely occurs. The same people that are going around and saying throw the book are probably the first ones to start screaming and quoting their amendment rifghts if they're wronged. Due process exists for a reason and like I said the video is damning and inexcusable but in the heat of the moment how would you react if (hearsay) you've been pushed to your breaking point. Taking the politically correct stance here is easy, but going against the grain may sometimes open up your thoughts and eyes....

  8. Well at least if I see someone pushing their truck down 90 through Dayton I will know who it was. What a minute I actually see that pretty often. Could you give me a little more info on what your vehicle looks like so I don't drive  by and moon some innocent person that's already having a bad day.

From what I hear that would be a pretty big full moon. It's a 2016 Red Ford 250 with my companies insigna plastered on the sides. The insigna reads, Dayton Hygiene products and teeth brushes. Needless to say I may have to downgrade to an F150 and start selling tooth brushes. :)

  9. @KTREnews: There has been two altercations between HS players and officials in the last two weeks. East Texas coaches react:

This is the hidden content, please
    bcQdn

Now hypothetically since that seems to be a theme on here, ask them that same question immediately after they step off the field after the referees just cost them the game on a pass interference call or an east Texas math calculated penetrations addition faux pas. I'd be willing to bet not so cordial or classy if they have any shred of competivness within their fibers!!

  10. Which is exactly why the sanctity of the sport needs to be upheld!!

They knew exactly what they were doing.  They may not have thought through the consequences and you know what...most people who do boneheaded things don't think through the consequences, but they do recognize right from wrong.  At some point, the the lame reason "for" outweighs the right reason for "not", and that is a direct correlation to their character or the lack thereof!!  So let's just kick them out of the football and let them go on their merry way.  If they can justify the reason for doing something as heinous as attacking a helpless ref in the back for throwing a teammate out of the game, what would/could they do for some other reason elsewhere??  Call it speculation if you want, but they have already shown their character and kicking them out of football will probably not make them think twice the next time they feel slighted.  But make it worthwhile and I guarantee the odds of thinking a bit more about the consequences of their actions before doing so will greatly increase.

Now let's go after the character of a kid after, during the process of a game, makes an inexcusable mistake for whatever (speculated) reason while the juices are flowing and the heat of the battle is still present. Nice, I'm glad I live in a nation where you are guilty until proven innocent oh wait that's wrong it's suppose to be the other way around. Again, not condoning nor ignoring that I don't know all the facts, all I'm saying is people that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones cause I'm sure a lot worse has been done by many even on here you just didn't get caught!!

  11. GRHS has beaten three 6A schools ALL by double digits.
Dawson and Friendswood are probably going to the playoffs in 6A and both were given a woodshed beating by GRHS.

After Friday, it will probably be four 6A opponents beaten by GRHS all by 10 plus or more points.

All credit to Crosby for making it to the finals last year, but division II was there for the taking.  Foster, Ridge Point, Elkins, and GRHS all could have taken out Crosby last year, just ask CE King what it was like when they met up with Ridge Point.

Sounds like Crosby has ALOT of their talent back.  Their baseball team last year was VERY GOOD!  One thing I noticed over here in FT Bend County.  Hardly NO ONE plays both ways.  When it comes to linemen and receivers / D Backs, that is huge come playoffs.

Wrong again Sonic commercial knockoff failure guy, Hypothetically since that's what your saying cause that's not who the UIL put in front of Crosby, they would have had the same result or better than a semifinal run. Cedar Park was better hypothetically at that point in the playoff of course then any FB team and Crosby led them 14-0 with several players with the flu and extremely fatigued (man if they'd been 100% they would've won by three scores) but all the outsiders see is the final score, which it is what it is. But as long as we're dreaming of what could've been then Crosby should've won that game as well. Then beat Ennis since we're still assuming outcomes. You see how ridiculous it is to assume the outcome of 16/17 yr olds just because of their division. U play whose in front of you and I find it offensive to try and stain a semifinal run. It's guys like you with those type shots at Crosby in the past and now present that I have no qualms about spreading the good name and telling the next town up you're headed for a beat down. You sure we're quiet on Twitter after bumping them gums about sending Crosby to the prom early in baseball after they routed GRHS eh!! Enjoy your non free Slush tomorrow thanks to the Texans that should've won that game if.........!!

    Go Crosby!!

  12. Halfway way home to where? Don't sweat it I will float you a loan when Dayton makes the playoffs.

There you are thought you were on some kinda "watch"!! Ain't happenin' this year, y'all let that "pride" get in the way of logic. Do some homework next time and realize that highschool football is a game of WINDOWS. Any given year down teams can rise to the top of the heap. Dayton might even not be the fifth seed could possibly fall to the sixth!!

    Go Crosby!!

  13. Nope, no OT for me. Actually jim bob gave me and cleetus the rest of the week off so we are going to work on our deer blind in the back yard, and probably make us a big ole trash can fire and make some hamburgers over it, you are more than welcome to come if you would like, we will put gator and bigfoot in the house so they dont bark at choo.

It's always nice to see a good sport in times of turmoil :)  Hill 35-Dayton 20

    Go Crosby!!

  14. I assume u mean me.   First,  I played college football and my son has been offered a full scholarship to Rice so I would say I am involved.

Second.  I voted Republican last time.

    Come up with something better

You know what happens when you assume. I was actually making a generalized statement. However, it did allow you to get a few plugs in, I'm "justsaying"

  15. Y'all leave ol' Dayton fan alone. I'm sure he's at work on OT wondering how in the world am I gonna tell my significant other we have to mortgage the house when BH beats us cause it's all down "Hill" from there. Daytime not beating Crosby or NC so it's just about over for their playoff lives. Know defense know playoffs, NO DEFENSE NO PLAYOFFS!! Think I'll get some shirts made after this loss!!

    GO CROSBY!!
