You do know where the announcers are from don't you. And as a Buckeye supporter I admit they go WAY overboard ALL the time. But, they are former players, they do the job for free, and they love their home team as much as any of you love theirs. And when they play the games back, I know they do sometimes say "why did I say that". They will tell you themselves they are straight up homers and if you don't like it don't listen to them. 

And p.s..... I ain't one of them 🤣

We got just as many sophomores playing as they did. They are actually the reason our defense has improved so much. We have a freshman starting on defense also.

There is a team up north that has beaten at the time of game, 3 state ranked teams, 2 of which were higher classifications and all 3 on the road. Oh, and the other 2 games were also against higher classification teams, Kilgore and Paris. And then we are gonna have to go out of state next year to get a extra game because no one would play us in week 5. I know WOS has had a tough go of it this year. Wow. You guys are down on the Stangs early this year. It's hard to lose a legendary coach. The new coach doesn't do it the way it's been done forever.  Give him some time to put his stamp on the program.  Sometimes change is hard.......but it's better. 

I know and have known quite a few coaches. Unfortunately some have passed on. Dale Irwin is as fine a man as anyone could ask for to coach their kid. And no, he didn't win an elusive state title,  lots of coaches don't. But he came damn close a couple of times. Hell once with a female kicker. So enjoy that retirement Coach Dale and maybe soon we can get back together for some more hunting trips!!!
