  1. We have to put together 2 halfs like the 1st one against Graham. That may have been the best half of football we have played all year. Well maybe the 42 point 3rd quarter we put on Lindale might be the best. Anyway we followed one of the best halves we have had with a very uninspired 2nd half.  Blame it on looking ahead,  I don't know. But what I do know is that won't work on Friday.

As I look at my crystal ball I see numbers turning, like the mileage counter on a car but much faster.  Smoke is coming from the gears.  The spirits are confused.  I must rest now.

translation- I’m in Dr office for Lab work & can’t do any research.  Over/Under is 105

I set in on another forum at 110. I'm thinking over, somewhere in the range of 60 to 54 Lindale

Respectfully, they don’t need the intimidation factor.

I understand that. But some are beat before they take the field because its Carthage.  We play every year. Sometimes we win but lately its been Carthage. Maybe I meant more of expectation than intimidation. We just like anyone else would be. Let's get there and then we will take our chances. Its not like we haven't gotten our ass kicked 3 different times in the state championship game. But 3 times we were in a place that many others would like to have been.

I would not want to face that defense for all the marbles.

We won't mind giving it a shot. They may have 50 pounds a man on us on bothe sides of the line..........but they don't have intimidation factor. Our kids have played theirs enough that we know what to expect. We just got to get there first. One at a time.

Agree 100%.   Lindale is averaging 43 points per game.   You have to put up big numbers to beat them.   😜

You got to pound on that running back too. Jenkins is a beast. I thought they were gonna score a hundred on us when we played, but we slowed him down in the 2nd half and our offense came alive with a 35 point 3rd quarter.  They made a few mistakes and we capitalized big time.

  6. Well I'm out in Quanah deer hunting but last night we were fortunate enough to put the Gilmer/Godley game from the NFHS network to the TV and watch entire game with no hiccups.  Tonight's chosen game is Carthage/Silsbee. I hope its a good show so I don't have to tune in to something else. Goodluck to both. Especially Silsbee......you gonna need some.

Wow, y'all must've really wore them down in the second half. I looked up the final score and it was 56-49, that's amazing y'all put up 5 TDs in one half. Do you have any insight on their offensive/defensive front?

We are 9-1.........I was the 1. Games have been pretty hard to come by this year. Good luck. I think its gonna be a long night trying to get that rb on the ground.  You got to punish him.......over and over.

  8. Total offensive and defensive line domination by the Bulldogs. There skill kids are no better than ours........but their lines outweighed us by 40 to 50 lbs per man and we couldn't do anything with them. Tried to make a game of it in the 3rd but an int let the wind out of our sails trying to make it a one score game. After that it was all Carthage.  They have a great team. I just wish they were in D1. They are gonna be very very hard to beat in D2.

    Carthage > Kilgore

    Gilmer > Gladewater > Kilgore

So this doesn't add up to nothing. What makes you think Carthage is having a down year?

I didn't say Carthage was having a down year. Maybe I implied Gilmer is on an upswing which I believe they are. Carthage has played one game of which I was somewhat trying to make a comparison.  Thats all the info I've got to work with other than they have 7 state titles in the past. We will know more Friday night
