  1. I don't think we can beat Newton THIS year, but we are playing 2 animals back to back. With that said, we haven't taken a beating like that since the 70's. I would expect a good game plan and a good effort Friday night. We will match up better with the Eagles than we did against Carthage. Our kids are proud. They won't take to kindly the whipping they got last week. I believe a closer game is coming than some expect.

  2. So we get arse whipping and we get our own thread. Might as well quit paying attention to the Buckeyes and find out who the real competition is. Carthage and D1 are loaded. Looks to be an awesome playoff follow statewide. Gilmer and DII are not. WOS 1-3, hell even PG lost to 3A Gladewater last night. Times they are a changing.

Newton now has two powerhouse 4A programs on their schedule for next season. Both Gilmer and West Orange Stark will be great games for Newton. I guess all of this smack talk will be determined once and for all next season.

Other than a little question at QB, we will have 2 to choose from, we will be very good. Lots of talent as always in skill positions, our lines will be much improved as well our defense. Our D got younger and much better later in the season last year. Say what you want but we probably played the 2 state champs as well as anyone. We just laid some eggs when it counted most. Not saying we would have won, but I would have loved to get one more shot at PG in the region finals. We should have won the district game. D let us down with 30 seconds to go.

It's hard to win, win , win. WOS had a great year, and I thank them for the excitement. Yes, we lost, but they never gave up. PG had more answers this year, but, it was their first year, and WOS is there every year. Thanks to the team and Cornel for a great year!

That's the most sane thing I have seen you say in the last 2 days. Your buddies must have been shaming you.
