Can't overlook Sweetwater I remember the last time they made the state championship they were huge underdogs vs tomball ended up winning 17-7 if WOS brings their A game they will win

Come on td!  They can come watch the game from the stands.  Only about a 2 hour drive!!

Anyone predicting a close game with a team that runs the slot T hasn't seen enough of this defense and doesn't know Cornel Thompson!  Not gonna happen. 

I feel sorry for  Sweetwater! I don't think they know what's about to hit them.

If it is true that DEFENSE wins’ championships, then WOS should be fine. The Mustangs are not Wharton, nor Sweeney. Cuero had the monkey on their backs because of the history of beating Narravo so many times in the past. Nobody seems to remember the Robinson team that we (WOS) faced a couple of games back, Robinson had the # 2 duel threat in Texas I believe, or maybe in the nation and WOS handled them without hesitation. We have doubters I’m not one of them. Go Mustangs, take  this game.

Let me just throw this out there.I'm kind of tired of hearing how good this slot t team is and that they are the best team we will face to date.Like coach T says " you don't bring a mule to the Kentucky Derby " so who ever we would have got to play they wouldn't be no mule.Now I said all that to say this.This Mustang team will be the best team Navarro will have faced.Can I get an amen.lol

Liberty Hill ran the Slot T to perfection.  They were far and away the best team I have ever seen run this offense.   
If Navarro really runs this offense the right way they could give WO-S a decent game.  But you just can't stop this WO-S offense.
I have been watching WO-S for 30 years now.  This is their best offense yet.  Too many weapons.  Very much like Gilmer and Navasota of the last few years.
The defense is outstanding for sure.  Not sure I would say it was the best they have had in the years I have watched them.   I would rank this one 3rd behind 1987 and 2012.
I have to say that this offense is not as vertical as some of the awesome Gilmer or Navasota offensives, but it sure is fun to watch and see who breaks the next 50 plus yard toss and run or blast up the middle.  I have to say all 3 of these great teams' offenses are pretty much out of the same mold..it doesn't matter if it is 3 and 30 there is no guarantee you can make them punt.  
IMO, third best defense ever and best offense ever..yeah I think this is the best overall team I have seen at WO-S.
(I just hope it is Gilmer and WO-S in the finals..that will be a great game and I know WO-S is wanting some revenge!)

They will need to come into this game, put their head down and don't quit until the buzzer sounds at the end of the 4th quarter. NO team gets to the semis by being a push over. Navarro is gearing up to topple the #1 team in the state. WOS needs to play hard and hand them the defeat.

All I know is it will be a heck of a game. Last 4 teams in the state in 4 a2. Playing for their right to make it to Dallas. And play for all the marbles. Know matter what we say as fans. Those kids have put in the work. Day in and day out. Long season. Every team. In my opinion play's just a little bit better. At this time of the season. Hope the game is injury free. Let the chips fall where they may. Still gonna root for WOS though. See everyone Friday. Good luck to both teams. From a fan of high school football. Safe travels everyone.

If you look at WO-S semi-final history, and followed close as I have you will agree these games were not for the weak of heart.  Nail biters all of them for the most part. New Braunfels (for a half) then the Kerrville Tivy series, Calallen (had to shower and wash draws after that one) and of course Sinton and Cuero. Look for more of the same this week from Navarro.

You DO NOT WANT TO TRY AND GET TO NRG by getting to Fannin from downtown.  Hwy 59 is a parking lot ALL DAY LONG which means it will take forever to even get from I-10 to Fannin.  Then you are having to go through the Medical Center on Fannin which is also always congested around that time. 
Yes, all of the routes are evil, but 610 South is lesser of the evils.

I've waited until now to chime in on this thread and I'm going to start by reminding my OC brothers that after my Pirates, you're my favorite team. Now, I'm gonna bring you all down to earth. Every team that is a Regional champion is good period, regardless of what offense they run. Navarro runs their version of the slot but passed for approximately 100 yards a game during the regular season. Brock ran the WISHBONE to perfection last year in the state championship against Yoe (I was there) and basically ran sweep left and sweep right with it beating Cameron into submission. Until the mid 2000s when the SPREAD offense came into being, most teams either were running based or ran the west coast short passing game. Nederland still runs out of the pro-set and power I and do well with it. Several teams are very successful with running games; Calallen (5A still in playoffs) being one of them. There is a long list of recent champions that are running based which I can send you if you want. Run based offenses are successful now because most defenses are oriented to the PASS and don't see running teams (i.e. Dallas Cowboy's success with rookie QB). Everyone got hooked on the spread so ground and pound-clock control is something totally new.  We beat PAM because we were aggressive holding them to 2:57 in the first half of offense and because they had never seen our SLOT-T offense. Having said all that, Navarro is not your typical running team and don't sleep on them. They are aggressive, ball control based upon run with HUGE offensive line that blows big holes in the opposing defense, can throw the ball and extremely well coached. I was very surprised with what they could do against Cuero (I watched on Texan Live). Remember Kennedale--I told y'all about them. I know Coach T isn't taking this team lightly and I don't think y'all should either. This will be a one to two score game, not a blow out. WOS 35, Navarro 28.

it was a good feeling last Friday  to see kids from  lc-m - Silsbee- cc- Deweyville  and feel like there were more just missed them
