Love to see this game in person but work calls, so the next best think is listening to Gary Stelly on KOGT! That crew does an awesome job giving play by play info. I will be tuning in to KOGT and rooting for the Mustangs along with a few bruskis!! Go STANGS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Chuk, for $6.95 you can watch it live on texanlive.com

  2. This is probably going to be the toughest game WOS has had this year, as Navarro is arguably to 2nd toughest team in the 4A Div 2. They will need to come into this game, put their head down and don't quit until the buzzer sounds at the end of the 4th quarter. NO team gets to the semis by being a push over. Navarro is gearing up to topple the #1 team in the state. WOS needs to play hard and hand them the defeat.

I've waited until now to chime in on this thread and I'm going to start by reminding my OC brothers that after my Pirates, you're my favorite team. Now, I'm gonna bring you all down to earth. Every team that is a Regional champion is good period, regardless of what offense they run. Navarro runs their version of the slot but passed for approximately 100 yards a game during the regular season. Brock ran the WISHBONE to perfection last year in the state championship against Yoe (I was there) and basically ran sweep left and sweep right with it beating Cameron into submission. Until the mid 2000s when the SPREAD offense came into being, most teams either were running based or ran the west coast short passing game. Nederland still runs out of the pro-set and power I and do well with it. Several teams are very successful with running games; Calallen (5A still in playoffs) being one of them. There is a long list of recent champions that are running based which I can send you if you want. Run based offenses are successful now because most defenses are oriented to the PASS and don't see running teams (i.e. Dallas Cowboy's success with rookie QB). Everyone got hooked on the spread so ground and pound-clock control is something totally new.  We beat PAM because we were aggressive holding them to 2:57 in the first half of offense and because they had never seen our SLOT-T offense. Having said all that, Navarro is not your typical running team and don't sleep on them. They are aggressive, ball control based upon run with HUGE offensive line that blows big holes in the opposing defense, can throw the ball and extremely well coached. I was very surprised with what they could do against Cuero (I watched on Texan Live). Remember Kennedale--I told y'all about them. I know Coach T isn't taking this team lightly and I don't think y'all should either. This will be a one to two score game, not a blow out. WOS 35, Navarro 28.

I hope our 'Stangs don't take anyone for granted. At this level of the game, there are no slouch teams.

Not butthurt at all, just calling out stupidity , that's all.  My point is that all of our area districts haven't  been perfect, but leave it to most like you, anytime something pops off and BISD is mentioned, the BISD had just surfaces..  but when it happens elsewhere, it's rarely talked about...

And what school do you support?

First, don't group me with any one else or any other group. My posts and my thoughts, are mine, and mine alone. If someone else thinks the same way, that is their right, but I don't care.

I never said anything about BISD.  I did comment on your statement where you told someone they were from Nederland, and they should not say a thing. I understood this to mean that if you were not from BISD, you could not comment. Regardless, it matters not where you are from, you can comment here on any subject presented.

I commented on a situation, and it does not make any difference where it took place. I don't have an axe to grind with any school.

You look at my name, and see the logo and ask what school I support? Seriously?

So you're saying that rules only apply to certain individuals and certain situations...  ... And obviously certain school districts.  ok.

So in Vidor, the when they vandalized the a school a few years ago with graffiti, it was justified because of where it was and who did it, right?  smh

You missed the whole thing, and that is why you were butthurt from the beginning. What I said, applies to anyone and any subject here.
