    The fact is WO-S has been spoiled with having two HOF coaches over a 45 year period. Also a very experienced coaching staff over those years, That is something that many many schools dream of.

    Yes, we had 2 exceptional ADs that put together a winning program and a winning coaching staff. When Hickman took over, he demoted or ran off all the experienced coaches and threw out the program that worked.

    Due to soft scheduling and a weaker than normal district. The luck of knocking off 2 ranked opponents early when they were not healthy or still trying to figure it out. Also led to a premature ranking and a hollow DCTF weekly award. The 2 late season losses vs ranked teams proves what we know has been the biggest problem. 

    Football 19-15 .559

    Baseball 9-35 .205

    Basketball 19-35 .352

    GBB 11-29 .275

    Softball 1-22 .043

    Volleyball 0-38 .000

    Overall 59-174 .253

     

    For anyone living in the district, I ask that you contact you're elected board members publicly and privately. Don't let them think this is exceptable. Be the solution to the equation. Not the divisor. This starts at the top and falls heavily upon those walking the halls. They deserve better.

    I've been to several School Board meeting complaining about Harris and his AD pick. BOTH of them need replaced. Harris has been told his contract will not be renewed but they allow him to continue as a Lame Duck Superintendent. The grades are pathetic and the coaching is pathetic. I urge each one of your to go to the School Board meetings and sound off. And VOTE FOR School Board members who support hiring a real Superintendent and Athletic Director. Harris and Hickman need to go right now. The School Board President  Linda Platt, needs voted OUT.

    He hasn’t won much anywhere else, but he’ll turn into a world beater if he comes back to Orange? I’m not buying in. 

    You have no idea what he is dealing with. He is in a military town and lidscare coming ang going all the time with their parents orders. When he went there, their record immediately doubled and has only got better.

In the old days if you didn’t win the district championship you did not go to the playoffs. It is very apparent after last nights butt whipping that we had no business being in the playoffs. What is it going to take in our community to pressure RH and the school board to admit they have made a mistake and correct it. We have athletes that are just as good and probably better than Bellville and look at the results. Straight coaching issue. The time for change is now!

    Cornel Thompson would come back if we had a new Superintendent. Toby Foreman would also like to take over. But the Superintendent we have is the problem. Everyone gripes here but no one goes to the school board meeting to complain. I did, and not one other person showed up. They take public comments first, and then you can leave.

It would be a fantastic win for the Cardinals. It would be devastating and humiliating for WOS. 

    Should have never hired Hickman. He has ruined the WOS dominance.  What a joke.

    Hiawatha Hickman showed his true character after Silsbee handed him his butt. In true bad loser fashion he sent WOS to the  field house with 24 seconds left and did not send them to shake Silsbee's hand. Then, several players, having more integrity than their loser coach, returned to the field to shake hands with Silsbee, but, here comes Hickman's Lackeys, to collect them and send them to the field house. What a jerk. I told the school board last year, that this was going to happen. Hickman needs to go and Rickie Harris needs to go with him
