When is the Home Coming festivities over?

You want a running game, you have to have a line with some meat and muscle, to open the holes.

Oh, you short-sighted pessimists. WO-S is just a horrible team. You are so right. 

WOS is a great team, but when the same things are happening year after year that trip them up, I think the coaches should rethink a couple of things to try to eliminate those repeated mistakes.

Of course, no one wants to lose Cornel, but, he is 67 and no telling how much longer he is going to coach. Maybe 2 years, maybe 10. We will see. I bet he is grtting his teeth that he did not give Cole more assurances that he would start at QB this year. Yes, I think he needs to modify the Mustang Mile for the bigger guys. Will he do it? Doubt it. Will the WOS line continue to be smaller and blown out in the playoffs? Most probably, unless a new year brings bigger and faster linemen, that WOS never sees. The Newton game showed how much WOS depends on one player. Hope they can develop some better skills in others.

 

I would not want to be Liberty this Friday. haha.

 

Congrats to a well played game by Newton! Hope they continue with this caliber of play!

 

By the way, how many people know that Curtis Barbay's career started at West Orange, in the 60's? Wish he was still with us. A great man and a great coach.

WOS has a one man team. Think about it. Who is not in the game right now?

haha. You think he is going to listen to anyone? I doubt it.

Newton has the ball. The end is in sight. 1st down Newton, with 2:08 left. Yep, Newton came to play and WOS has the head somewhere else.

Been a WO fan forever, but I see some issues. When they get to QF, at that level of competition, they need more weight on the line. How many times has Dallas been running for his life or sacked tonight? haha, See what I am talking about?

19-7. WOS on the Newton 6. Drops the pass.

That Mustang Mile keeps the big boys off the team, and when they get to that level of competition, where they really need the weight on the line...........there goes the game.

Actually, depth has a lot to do with this one. But, you ever notice that WOS goes to the quarter finals and loses, most every year? Why?

14 years, and still the same mistakes.

If WOS pulls this one off, I will be very surprised.

This reminds me of 2000 at Texas Stadium. Come on Cornel.

WOS fumble. Newton recover. I sure don't think WOS is going to pull this one out. The Mustang Mile has sure hurt them on depth, and it is showing right now.

If Cornel stays with the sophmore QB, he needs to put him practicing passing at least half of every practice. He is young and needs to practice a lot.

WOS needs to try another QB to pass.
