Sounds like a great game.

All they have to do is buy him out. The man has a contract and it's within his rights to make BISD honor it. If BISD thinks the matter is urgent, then show him the money.

I root for Silsbee more often than not (except when they are playing a team from the OC).  But "smoketown" and "class" don't belong in the same sentence.  I like Silsbee folks.  But that self-imposed nickname is a 100 times worse than a noisemaker.  Just my humble opinion...

Nosie Makers not Classy???? Its supposed to be annoying that's why They're call NOSIE MAKERS.......I was at the game as well, and the atmosphere was great for a Playoff Game.....LCM was the better team.....Its hard to beat a team 3x

The revised schedule will be Game 1 tomorrow in Jasper at 7 pm; Game 2 Saturday in Jasper at 10 am and Game 3 (If necessary) will be at 12:30 (approx) in Jasper.
All games will be broadcast on AM 1600 KOGT

I'm gonna predict this thread gets shut down before the first game.  That's my prediction! !!!

This series should be played at Lamar University. Unless there is a scheduling conflict  with the University, there should be no reason to go off to the Houston area or even Jasper which has a great field. Stay close to home, pack the stands with family and friends and let the local fans see some great high school baseball while the players enjoy the support.

Evadale is upgrading.  Our AG teacher, who has a few cows, donated 3 wheelbarrows full of fertilizer.   We're also replacing the old Porta Pottys with new ones.  
PS:  With the paper mill, you won't notice the smell of the new fertilizer  

I read through this thread, and i had the same reaction that some of the others did when it was stated that Mackey is one of the best receivers that has EVER come through SETX, and a great fit at ANY college.  Once of the best in the area right now?  Sure, of course.  I looked for his stats online, and couldn't find them from last year, but he went for 28/523/6 the year before.  very respectable, but even if he doubled those numbers as a  this past season, that would still be a far cry away from all-time great numbers for SETX.  Now, if he'd gone off for 80 catches, 1800 yards, and 20 TDs, i'd reevaluate my stance.  I'm not hating, and i rooted for Silsbee in both the football and basketball playoffs this year, but i strongly disagree with that statement.  Now, some of  y'all are talking about next season for him.  HUDL has him listed as the class of 2017, but i'm fairly positive he was a senior this year.  So if he's gone for 1500 yards and 15 TDs over his junior and senior year, then those are very good numbers, but not anywhere close to GOAT status, or even in the argument to get into the argument.
