This kid is a star. His presence on the field alone makes a difference.  Just throw the football his way and he will make the adjustment to the ball. When he was on the field the other recievers mysteriously played better.  And of course his play as a receiver opened the game up substantially for the running game, which he was a part of as well.  And on defense, it's in your best interest not to throw at him. And he saved many touchdowns with his closing speed. I'm not privy to the problems he was having, but I sure hope he overcomes and it, and it doesn't effect him on the next level. Good Luck to the young man 

He was back in the lineup.  Someone posted a tweet supposedly by him making a statement like he was done, no reason injury or otherwise.

They couldn’t  even beat a bunch of unathletic white kids from BC that year.... despite having all of that talent. 
That’s why I keep thinking that the new scheme is making them a little bit tougher to beat. I know that Silsbee fans weren’t very excited about Coach Smith’s play calling because it seemed to be a departure from the flashy (but hit or miss) style... I think the fact that Silsbee isn’t getting multiple unsportsmanlike penalties is a result of them much better disciplined program... and also resulting in this playoff run.

And to be honest Speed helps but technique neutralizes that. Hell we were state champs in track 3 out of 4 years a few years back with a hell of a class going through but we never won it in football. Just saying 

Atleast it’s not silsbee jokes. You gotta give him a little credit.

Meh... it’s kinda like boxing promotion. We talk about until we think Silsbee has a legitimate chance, but when the game is over and WOS is moving on to play next week we’ll all feel bummed that we got sucked into believing it was really gonna go any other way.

Yes, I'm a self professed kool aid drinker.  I entertained the notion that Silsbee had a good chance against Carthage last year.  The 64 points Carthage scored in the first half convinced me that I had been a trifle over optimistic.
You've got to figure this is different.  Silsbee does have a shot based on past performance.

The hospitality is great & gives people opportunity to run the old flat bottom boat.

I get it. I would go to the game if it was here in SETX. But, I don't want to drive that far. Plus, I would have to scrounge up some gas money.
