  1. Seriously, I don't recall the call against the Lions. I will be honest with my answer if I think the Lions were robbed.
  2. How about Crocker Dodge? Plymouth Fury was a huge car but it didn't matter back then with the 383. My friend's dad had a Fury but he babied it. You could drive in town without stepping on the gas pedal......practically had to ride the brake. Same with the 455 Oldsmobile. Man, they don't make cars like that now.
  3. The building next door was a Roy Rogers Roast Beef, kinda like Arby's.
  4. I like the site. There are other stories to view. Had one on Randle
  5. More injuries.... [Hidden Content]
  6. That was where the car wash is now. It was a DPS haven before they tore it down. Wife says Drakes had the best stuffed shrimp that came with fries and onion rings in a cardboard box. Malts were to die for also. Man, I wish there was a way to bring back Burger Chef. Unbelievably good fast food. I ate at the one on 11th street in Beaumont all the time. To REBgp, they killed the "drag" when they took out the circle. People started parking at Gateway then the cops ran us off. Too many vandals I guess.
  7. It was. My wife worked the one on Ned Ave.
  8. You obviously don't know football with statements like that.
  9. Mingle Chrysler/Dodge? I recall a PS on Calder and one on College. There was a Burger Chef in south park by the college.
  10. Big Chef?
  11. Seriously, my wife and I have discussed going to Indianapolis just to eat at the only one left.
  12. Yes, it was Burger Chef, then Hardee's, then Cowboy Red's BBQ, then Hamburger Depot.

  14. I'm sitting here about to have supper and a McDonald's commercial came on and it made me think of the old Burger Chef. Anyone else old enough to remember? They were flamed broiled like Burger King but much better. The Superchef was killer! Does anyone know how I could go about trying to revive the old franchise?....get a petition going or something like that? For you younger guys, it became Hardee's Just thought I would post a change of pace.
  15. Bill Belicheats visit has been cancelled. This must be the first school in history to have a dress code. Deal with it. I had to.
  16. it's what I'm waiting for....
  17. ....and it's safe. They have gun laws.
  18. BG, MCFadden sounds ready. I'm willing to give him the nod. Like I said, I wanted him over Felix Jones, but it just wasn't in the cards. He can still play, and being an old Arkansas boy, you know how versatile he is , and I think that's actually what the Boys have in mind. He played QB, RB, TE, and WR. Didn't he return punts? That's a valuable player to me. [Hidden Content]
  19. I notice when the Texans have no ammo left, they take their shots at the Cowboys, all the while avoiding my question. Anyone who knows football knows that a banged up Rogers is still better than most NFL QBs. If you have no pass rush, you can't sacrifice your safety against Rogers. Good try though. Since they changed the rule and that would have been a catch, Cowboys would have won and beat Rogers and Co.....but that's how it goes when you get screwed by a call. We will be there again. Can your Texans say that with no QB?
  20. I was thinking more along the lines of your vote being cast for the opponent rather than who you actually voted for....as in cheating.
  21. Better make sure her vote goes for Trump. You know how that electronic voting can be manipulated.
  22. From what I have seen from Islam, I don't like them. Punish me! Gee, did I offend anyone? I certainly hope so!
  23. From what I saw, Trump was not the one making it comical. When someone is winning and you can't beat him with your stances on issues, the best thing to do is make him the butt of your jokes. Joe Biden is a master of this technique. Is there really a clear cut "party"? Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative, left, right, up down, Democrats becoming Republicans and vice versa.....what is there to cling to? Trump rubs people the wrong way and has gained tremendous popularity because of it. We need someone who gets down to brass tacks and cannot be swayed by money. Will he make a good president....only time will tell. He can't do much worse and he certainly has a grip on finances. Watch out, he just might win it. I could deal with it.
  24. You're FIRED!
