North Shore and Westlake at Pfield in Pflugerville. Then going to Arlington the following weekend for Duncanville and North Shore Pt.5.

Stayed home for this and listened to it. It gave me flashbacks of the 04' playoff game against Westfield. It also gave me flashbacks of the infamous "Mud Bowl" game years ago against Port Arthur. Thankfully the guys were able to keep grinding and turn things around.

North Shore and PAM had a pretty competitive rivalry back in the day. And it was because of North Shore that Titan Stadium has turf.🤣🤣
-
Correction it was 31-0 at the half.

Hummm, looks like Humble made a game of it!

Other than a few plays the refs made a game of it. Mind you they were bad all night on both sides. A lot of picked up flags and quite a few head scratching calls. Several times it seemed like they weren't sure about their calls. And the poor ref kept fumbling the calls when he would announce them.
As far as pulling the starters early. Mind it was 24-0 after the first quarter and 38-3 at the half. With a big game against Atascocita coming up what coach wouldn't pull his starters at that point.
The game was firmly in hand so no reason to risk anything. The backups did indeed give up some yards. But again the refs put Humble in position to score more they put themselves.

Goose Creek Memorial bout to get donkey stomped!
-
When Kenny Harrison and North Shore play. You know to expect a physical game. Summer Creek gave North Shore one of it's toughest games. The difference this year maybe a healthy Kaleb Bailey.
-
Remember when this used to a bitter bitter rivalry. With that in mind I see both squads bringing their best in this one. On the bright neither has to worry about North Shore anymore.

If it were basketball United would stand a good chance of walking away with the win. But it's not basketball season. The Stumps are going to put a thumping on the Timberpups.
-
Crosby is a mess this season. So the Titans do a little donkey stomping this this week.
-
They may well have been looking ahead. That said this is a long standing rivalry that goes all the way back to the mid 2000's. So they'll be looking to knock us off.

Where are all the people coming from? Humble about to build another MS that will feed SC. BH, Crosby, Dayton all hitting a growth spirt at the same time? Sheesh
I know in Crosby there are several new subdivisions going along 2100. And there are several that will be going along 90.
-
Is it crazy to think that probably in the next five years this will be a district game? King's growth will continue as just like Crosby there are a lot of new subdivisions being built. They're also getting a lot of transfers from North Shore. As for Crosby if they can avoid the injury bug that pretty much devastated them last year. I think they have the talent to make some noise.

Just a rivalry between the two? Or something more?
Rivalry that goes back to around fifty years or so. I've been privileged to attend several of the games over the years. No matter how either team is doing. It's a playoff type atmosphere every time.

He went to Channelview, but the family actually lived in North Shore.

Bitter rivals, wouldn't happen even if their stadiums were across the street from each other.
Hell would freeze over before Deer Park would help La Porte. The bitter blood between those two is thicker than that between La Porte and Port Arthur.

Atascocita did exactly what Summer Creek did. They knew they had a punchers chance with there being no Kaleb Bailey. They landed two heavy blows and put North Shore on the ropes. But as a champion does North Shore weathered the storm and came back with a couple big shots of their own. These two heavyweights will continue to battle for years to come as long as realignment keeps them together.
-
Would this be considered an upset seeing as West Brook hadn't won a game all season?
-
The game is being shown on AT&T Sportsnet ch. 639 on Comcast/Xfinity. The game has lost some of it's luster with Kaleb Bailey being out. But both squads are coming in ready to in what many are saying will be the first of two these two will play this year.

I reckon it'll be a little louder than normal.
I wonder if the marshes will be lit on fire for this one...... (Remember those days @Big Daddy Cool ?? 😁)
I sure do remember those days. I remember one year it backfired on ya'll because the smoke engulfed the entire stadium.

It’s really simple. If Martin plays, BU wins.
but let’s not take away from the fact this these two are two of the worse teams I’ve ever seen with my own two eyes. Will truly be the toilet bowl, which is sad. I’ve seen 2-8 WB teams in the early 2000’s. I’ve also seen horrible Centeal teams that finished 1-9 or 3-7. Both of them were better than the product that will be on the field next week. And what’s amazing is we keep seeing this mess rolled out on the field every week. No ‘let’s try this because that obviously isn’t working’. But we have a lot of ‘we’re going to run these plays till you get it right’ or ‘we’re going to run these same kids out there that we’ve been using since week 1. They don’t get the job done, but we’ll keep sending them out there’. It’s to the point now where I can only stomach one half of these games. Bad football would do that to you. Seriously.
And that kind of attitude plays right into something I brought up last with West Brook. Kids don't want to play for that kind of coach. And so they go elsewhere to play.
