Atascocita is no longer open after naming former Desoto and Woodlands College Park coach Kyle Coates as it's next head coach. He led College Park to a 12-1 record last year and a trip to the 3rd round of the playoffs.

Yes and no! I didn't realize that BU made the playoffs last year. If they've finally got things going in the right direction good for them.

Definitely shaped the way many schools run their football programs. He didn't just shape athletes but he taught them how to become young men.

Not too surprised. He had a good run there. Won a couple district titles and made a few regional championships. But I think he took the program as far as he could.

Downloaded so I could watch the North Shore and Lake Travis game since I couldn't be there. It was pretty good considering it's a free app.

I said it on another board LT's style of play does them absolutely no favors against a team like North Shore. Props to the LT defense for keeping the game from being a complete blow out. As for next week not sure what to expect. Two teams that a lot of people didn't think would make it this far.

Listened to the first half and knew that was all she wrote. While the offense has had it's issues. The defense has been hitting on all cylinders from the start.

Simply put Kenny Harrison had his boys ready to play and Willie Gaston didn't. SC dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Worst offense game I've seen all season. If not for the North Shore defense it could have been worse.

No doubt Atascocita has found itself on the ropes and knocked down on a few occasions. North Shore stumbled out of the gate leading many to think the long awaited downfall had come. But since that loss the Mustangs have bounced back in to form and steam rolled the competition. This rivalry is more than just Atascocita and North, but North Shore and Craig Stump going back to his time at West Brook..
