  1. Strength of district doesn't have much to do with anything once you get to this point of the playoffs. Because for as weak as SOC's district is, they just handled a Huntsville team that:
-Only lost to PNG by 3
    -Beat Nederland, who beat PNG.

Transitive property also doesn't have much to do with the outcome of the upcoming game, just wanted to prove a point.

I think SOC wins a close one. But these teams know each other now. It's a playoff rivalry a la North Shore/Duncanville now since they seem to meet annually.

Wish I could go to this game, but I don't feel like making that drive. So I'll watch the potential state championship game opponent for either team (Randle v Iowa Colony)

Curious:  Do these kids have a choice in which school to attend?

Looking at the map, Fort Bend Marshall and Stafford are nearby to Westbury to the SW, Willowridge to the south, Sharpstown to the NW, Bellaire to the north, Madison to the SE and Worthing to the east. That's without getting into the charters and privates that were mentioned, like Strake Jesuit, Episcopal, and Kinkaid.

  3. Idk much about him. I will say, I watched Westbury play Pasadena Memorial last season, and they should have beaten Memorial by at least double digits, but I thought their offense was poorly schemed. They just kept running the ball up the middle when they had a better time getting to the perimeter. So they kept Memorial in the game, and eventually allowed a long run for TD, then a special teams TD, then a long pass, and lost the game.

Westbury isn't totally devoid of talent, but I thought they could have been coached better. Take of that what you will.

Seriously, his predecessor was Burnett.  Even drunk I don't think I would have said that!  LOL!  Oh, BTW, yes, PNG spent too much money on the stadium.  Hasn't made them a better football team, has it?  Again, no State Titles!  Well, as long as it looks good, I guess!

So success is only measured in state titles? That's what you seem to be implying.

Crosby already plays Dayton once. They would have to play them six times in that district. The one positive is that we would be able to get a first hand look at the players in our GCCISD farm system. Probably could've gotten that receiver from Lee that just committed to Vanderbilt. Outside of playing a weaker schedule one of the biggest negatives I see is even is more hostility from the GCCISD coaches towards kids who are trying to transfer to a better situation for them.

I wonder why they'd be hostile.

Yes it is laughable…out of all the QBs from PNG - who has been the most successful in college at QB? Maybe compare the stats. :)

What would that have to do with him being the best QB in PNG history? I'm not saying he is or he isn't, but post-HS success doesn't have anything to do with what he did in HS. If he's the best QB in school history, it's based on what he did while at that school.

And I see that slight shade at Roschon, like he wanted to be moved from QB.
