I haven't been able to find a DCTF to purchase yet, and I want to know what the 22-6A predictions are, if anyone can help me with that.

Lancaster took forever and a day to hire its new head coach, which was bad business with open enrollment schools like Desoto/Cedar Hill/Duncanville swarming like buzzards.
Idk exactly what Lancaster has coming back, but I think they'll take a decent step back and won't be an elite 5A D1 team this season. Still will be good just bc of the pure talent running through the school though.

I think it's still Nike. They look great. Winning in them would make them look even better. 😁
I just saw the highlights, those jerseys do look nice, but yall usually do the jerseys right. Hopefully some Ws do come, next week should be interesting.
Random, but I got in contact w/ Morgan about joining the staff over there. Nothing wound up materializing from it, but I'm not too mad at it.

They got Jordan brand jerseys now?

2012 Newton: I got to Beaumont late that season and covered them starting in those playoffs. I thought they were for sure winning state that year, that loss to Cameron Yoe was a shock to me.
Also, 2014 WOS and Newton

Gotta respect someone willing to die on the hill even when it's not looking good for em. And I'm not saying one side is right or wrong bc I have no idea.

Yes they have been below average due to coaching. But 25-8 against Lumberton speaks for it self
That's fine, but the last time they played was when? MaxPreps says 2013. I'm not going to pick LCM to beat Lumberton because LCM has beaten them a lot years ago. I'm going to pick LCM if I think they're the better team than Lumberton this season, this week.

No riverly we are 25-8 against them. Just underestimate of LCM
What has LCM done this season for anyone to pick them to win? I mean Lumberton has been okay themselves but it's not like LCM was undefeated or anything and ppl just picked Lumberton for no reason. LCM has been below average for years now.

Yes, losing is the thing to do. You should always play to lose. It makes your opponent feel good. A team that is scared to play another team is not going very far in the playoffs anyhow.
lol Temple has been one of the best teams in the state of Texas for a few years now. If they lose I doubt that's going to keep them from going far in the playoffs. Actually the situation may make them advance even farther.
It's not like they played the starters the entire game and they sandbagged it. They put the backups in and backups did what backups do against another team's starters

Is the rule that got PNG to forfeit a Texas-only rule? Because I know Hudl Sideline is a big thing to schools that can afford it in Florida and other states. But it gives you the film in real-time from the camera to a TV on the sideline. I'm very surprised that Texas has this rule of all states. But if someone knows, let me know. I'm curious.

Since I'm living in Lake Charles now, I might try and hit this game up tomorrow. Gotta get one of those turkey legs

I know it's an SETX board but I know there are a few McNeese fans or at least followers on here. I'm back in sports reporting, covering McNeese for the American Press. So if any of you guys want to follow, my twitter is the same as my name on here.

Good teams in 3A D2 usually have 1 big time stud and a lot of solid parts around him. Newton has 4-5 big time studs with a bunch of really nice parts around them. And great coaching.

Why do that to those boys? Stupid..senseless
Unless you know the details of Newton substituting kids in and passing the ball late, it’s probably best not to say this. Very possible backups on the team took a running play and scored late. I’m not gonna tell a kid not to score when he just gets in.

Millennials don’t want to make teacher salaries.
Not always true. I guess it depends where in TX you are but a first year teacher/football coach can make near $60k, which is more than a good amount of head coaches make in Florida. But I can’t speak for a smaller school like Evadale.

I hate to be that guy but so be it if it is the case. This isn't quite the statement win that it normally would be because this isn't the Lancaster team from the last few seasons. Not saying it's not an impressive victory. But I wouldn't put it in the "statement" category. A lot of the talent they would have had with the old coach there is now dispersed around other Southern Dallas schools.
