I was merely stating how often the players are judged & penalized often without much thought. Heck they go to instant replay now. Personally I think the NBA are A Day Late & a Dollar short. As the old folks used to say. Jmo I know we have to start somewhere, but Damn!! We started 30 yrs ago when Sterling became an owner. It's going to take more than his Ban. If it took 30 yrs to get rid of him, how long will it take to get rid of his other owner buddies who thinks like he does? This is a MONEY issue; the color is GREEN, mixed in with a little Racial tension. The bottom line is they will find a way to get rid of Sterling to protect the money. If I were Sterling, I would sue the League because he has practiced & perfected his Hate under their umbrella for years with no sanctions from the League. So I say Nash; if a Player acted in this fashion 30 yrs ago or today the League would have run him off. Think about this. How can Allen Iverson not find a NBA team to play for a few yrs ago?? Even with declining skills, he was better than over half of the guards in the League. I believe he was "blackballed" (no pun) because of the image he portrayed wasn't to NBA liking & his declining skills weren't as marketable. The NBA instituted a dress code ( we all know why) because if the image the players were portraying, but you knowingly Allow a very public Racist to represent the League for 30 yrs? I said it before & I'll say it again, I'm as confused as Sterling is. I've operated in this fashion alongside my NBA peers for 30 yrs, were friends. This has never been a big issue before. (What Sterling must be feeling) I can't believe my NBA family would turn on me

Png fan, it's always good to have discussion on sensitive topics. I'm not taking sides, but a STANCE.  From what i've seen from your posts, you seem level headed. I'm not trying to put you on the spot by any means. I was just saying the players get punished as they should, but at a swifter & stronger pace. Please stop it, NBA players shouldn't be making insensitive remarks, but Sterling's views of other human beings as an employer is unacceptable.  If this were a player, the League would have already fully punished him. The players are the first to be disciplined, but everyone else who has nothing to do with the game get a slap on the wrist before this Ruling. Whatever happened to the Ref, who was accused of cheating & fixing the outcome of games??  To be Honest with you, I'm as confused as Sterling is.  I say this because Sterling's peers continued to Reward his "Bad" behavior. NBA, NAACP, players & coaches knew of his Views & continued to turn a blind eye to the fact that this Man HATES on a phenomenal level.   PNG Fan, i'm not sure what you're getting at, but a player making insensitive remarks is far from denying housing & having a SLAVE Master attitude. The ruling will set precedent in All sports activities & operations. The Commish dropped the Hammer!!! Many other owners will choose their words wisely i.e Mark Cuban

Here's a question: How is it that Mr Sterling has been discriminating against minorities for years and the NAACP was in the process of giving him a lifetime award? Minorities are unwelcome at his apartment complexes, but now the NAACP in the LA area wants to cry FOUL.  The NBA & NAACP are no better than Mr Sterling. He's All about money & so are they. Now that your image has taken a Hit you want to play the Victim. How many kickbacks has Sterling given the LA area urban league or NAACP. Someone benefited. As for Magic johnson, he was once a Minority owner of the Lakers for a short time, why didn't he expose Sterling then. Michael Jordan has been a majority owner for a time as well, why all of a sudden he has a problem. Sterling is as wrong as 2 left shoes, but let's be REAL; nobody really said a whole lot the 30 yrs he's been an Owner. Let's not cry Foul now. Many former & current players have said these things about this man, even the NBA has known for years.  Honestly, I'm as confused as Sterling is about this.  What's the FUSS!!!  If it wasn't important then, why so important NOW.  I would have Run him & his wife off long AGO. Too many Watered down Activist nowadays. On a serious note; I Pray ALL Graduates receive & listen to the words of being Responsible. Nothing wrong with partying & having a good time, some of the Fun Teens engage in could be their Last. I don't Condone underage Drinking, but I'm aware that it is still happening. Please be careful & look out for each other. Chaperones, please keep your eyes & ears open, but most of all, take keys & cellphones. Party at one location & have someone responsible to Drive kids Home. God Bless

All I can say is as long as you " boys" keep winning & packing the house, I'll keep paying you, but "you" aren't allowed in my arena without a uniform. As a Black man I'm not offended by this guy Sterling because Cowards usually handle things in this manner. What pisses me off is this bogus explanation. What's worse in the NBA knowing this Slave Master hasn't & won't change his views of Minorities or non whites. Our Black community has had it's share of Leaders or Role Models, but they are a far cry from being Great as Dr MLK or Muhammad Ali. Dr King died for his cause, but believed his kids would see his DREAM. GOAT Ali served time in jail, had his Titles stripped for his beliefs. All this was done so I can volunteer as a Coach, work a job my grandfather couldn't, vacation in places my family wasn't Allowed, send my kids to schools my Aunts & Uncles couldn't Attend, and even ENTER doors that were & ARE still CLOSED today. So this gesture the Clipper players displayed was very WEAK. So to All you parents who love these Athletes & your kids look up to them, have them Google ALI. We were getting ready for Church one Sunday morning(kids were very young) we were all dressed got into the car; almost drove off. We forgot our baby girl in the house. With All of the boys in tow, we didn't realize we were leaving our daughter Lol Thank God she doesn't remember that. Now she's a Freshman @ Ozen with her twin brother.

If you haven't noticed, I was raised by a no nonsense God fearing community. NOTICE I said Community. The WESTSIDE of Port Arthur. It takes a Village to raise a Child. Prayerfully these young people can grow & learn from their mistake. God gave them another chance. Every year we hear of alcohol related deaths surrounding Prom & Graduation Celebrations. I've see the comments posted on here about how it was done when we were kids. All I will say to that is; that makes for a nice tombstone. Be Responsible this Prom & Graduation Season. I have 4 teens. I will leave you All with something the older generation used to say: Don't ever say what your child won't do. My favorite saying: All the things you Hate could end up a part of your Family ( Gay, Black/ White/ Hispanic, Fat, Skinny, Poor. etc...... Would that put her or other city officials in a bad light? I think knowing that our Mayor doesn't approve would carry a little weight.
