Sept.3 Friendswood vs Clear Brook.A great test for the Mustang secondary because Colby McCalister can really fling it.After a 3-0 start last year, two season ending injuries ,the Wolverines struggled the rest of last year. Both kids are back this year so it should make things interesting.A little neighborhood rivalry involved.

What I would point out is that before we played Nederland last year our average margin of victory in district play was 40ppg. It’s not like we were winning squeakers. Even with some regression does that mean we only win by 20ppg this year? I wouldn’t be surprised if we started 0-3 but I also wouldn’t be surprised if we started 3-0. 
 

By the way, I’m hearing we may have a new free agent from 21-6A to help ease some of the losses on defense. Goes about 6-3 215lbs and will line up at OLB.

Myles might end up being our best overall qb since Aston Walter? Defense looked solid during the Spring but they were playing against our offense. Garrett Gates is the Linebackers coach and has 2 sons on the varsity.He also coached the girls softball team to the state finals.I coached Garrett in Little league football ( Qb. ) and he at one time was baseball coach at C.E. King.I continue to follow this wonderful family.You are right about Coach Mac being the head coach.There's a lot of Sheldonites generations passing though Huffman High school.

Wilson looked like he was working on a hamstring in the Texas City game.He didn't play but constantly stretching it on the sidelines.They are probably being careful with him

Just saying Westerberg is so glorified on this website to not have made a better adjustment to stop a 4th and 22 in that situation. 

After watching Westerberg blow that game against Nederland anything can happen.He definitely didn't earn his Money in the fourth quarter ahead by 8 and Nederland on their own 16 yard line 4th and 22 and get beat on a long Hail Mary Pass.It looked like he was in single coverage.You just can't get beat in that situation.
