  1. I remember the playoff game in 2015 between Beamont Central and C.E. King.Central had a RB Devwah Whaley who later played at Arkansas.C.E. King was playing without Traveon Williams RB who played at A&M and now in the NFL.The 1st half belonged to Whaley as he carved up the Panthers defense.Leading 21 -12 at halftime Central looked as if they would defeat my alma mater. The second half, we asked ourselves why aren't they giving Whaley the rock.I know I would have .Last Central play was a fumble rolling around in the Central backfield and a Williams less Panthers won 32-31.When you have a stud like Whaley, who King couldn't stop in the first half, give the kid the rock and go with the kid that got you there.

Before this past season even ended with another semifinal run I think the consensus was that the '22 team would be even better? Ahead of realignment I was going through looking at who would be coming back and got very excited about the receivers, which we bring back 3 of 4 who've combined for 61 career starts between them. That's a huge deal once you consider the fact Myles is coming back to throw it to them too .  .  .  Then I went through the potential o-line and started thinking about playing in December.

Crosby won't be 6A for at least four more years but we're dang sure going to look like it next year. Myles might be the recipient of Cotton-level o-line play, or dare I say even better than what Cotton had. Crosby's potential o-line starters for the '22 season:

*listed sizes are from this past year

    LT - Rashaun Broussard - 6'5" 296lbs

    LG - AJ Johnson - 6'3" 315lbs

    C - Casen McMullen 6'4" 265lbs

    RG - Braxton Bowling 6' 270lbs

    RT - Levi Langley 6'4" 250lbs

Two of the other potential starters are 6'3" 275lbs and 6' 340lbs. If the staff gets these kids to gel early, watch out, Code Red might be looking to win all 16. I haven't noticed anybody that runs the slot-T in D1?

Possible Big name receiver move in coming to Crosby.I like AJ at Nose Guard,he looked awesome in playoffs.Cole Langley a BIG Plus on offense or Defense.Any comments Cougar 14.2 ?

Yep, he's one of the two freshmen road graders I was talking about them moving up. Looks like the staff is going to have AJ clogging up the middle for the next three years though. Very rarely do you see a 330+ pound kid with that kind of agility, especially at 14. Kid just looks the part.

#66 Herd was the other freshman road grader, I don't think the boy's jersey goes below his chest? He has to be every bit of 350lbs and is still athletic enough to pull from his right guard position. Kid looks like a solar eclipse coming down the line of scrimmage.

The freshman linebacker #42 Windfont was all over the field last night. He's already 6-2/210lbs so I fully expect him to be wreaking havoc in backfields the next three years. His closing speed is ridiculous. All four of the freshmen looked awesome last night.

AJ actually forced the QB wide to the sidelines and tackled him from behind. That was unreal for a kid that size.I left starting of the 4th qt so I didn't see #66 play.I have always been impressed with # 42 Windfont ever since he lay out the Anglelton QB in their scrimmage.I could hear the hit from where I was sitting ( opposite end of Stadium ).I noticed the coaches played him at inside and outside. And Yarbrough will give Crosby a one Two punch with Levi,so we don't need any RB mailboxes for a while.Things look bright in Cougar Country.
