According to the Orange Leader, Martin had 61 yards on 14 carries. Brisbane was 11 of 24 passing, for 151 yards.
From the Leader:
Brisbane finished 11-of-24 for 151 yards. The Tigers had 210 yards passing as receiver Drelon Miller had a 59-yard option pass to Geremiah Jackson. The Tigers struggled on the ground, finishing with just 73 yards on 33 carries. Jackson had three catches for 79 yards and Miller had four grabs for 68 yards. Tiger tailback Kevin Martin finished with 61 yards on 14 totes.

K Matin is the cousin to Chris Martin. He has more in him than what’s being seen. The kid has talent, they are not utilizing him enough on offense.  He very well could have had more yards and TD if they would have kept running him. Dodd shouldn’t be trying to play on that ankle. He injured it in the orangefield game and reinjured in the liberty game. 

I apologize for not having the complete game stats ready instantly.  Our normal stats person was out last night and it can be tough to do the play by play and keep accurate stats.

Silsbee has more weapons than Miller and Dodd and it will be on display this week I’m sure because Miller will see a Double Team that will allow other to flourish.

The statement was not sure if Calvin Tyler did or not. I was just stating the stats. 

Dodd had 280+ and gave way to Martin for most of 4th Qtr.
Designed game plan from point of view to cement run game execution for district, mostly Slot T teams.  
Two plays would have given Brisbane close to 200 yds passing:
Cartwright TD Called back and Miller incompletion would have turned this game into another 28+ lead going into 4th Qtr.
Not sure of exact number but id be surprised if PG had 200 yds total offense and that is with the 70 yd screen TD late.

I completely agree, definitely a team effort. Miller still had like 44 yards though. 

Well this game was alot closer then I figured it would be does notlook good for silsbee
 

Total offense rushing yards 328 . Combination of Dodd and Martin both with 1 TD. Dodd over 200 yards. Miller was pretty much contained. Brisbane 5/10 55 yards passing 1 interception 1TD. 
PG turned the ball over 6 times. 2 Fmbles, 4 Interceptions-Harper, Bottley, Martin, Elam. 

I talked to some of the players after the game and even some of the players didn’t understand why they were put into basically a prevent the whole 4th qtr and the offense settled on 1 receiver they have 2 other talented receivers that could have easily made life even harder for Nederland but they were not on the field the entire 4th  Silsbee coaching staff balled this game up and threw it in the trash no disrespect to Nederland but Silsbee had numerous chances to put this game away coaching was very questionable during the entire 4th qtr.

They have 18-19 sophomores but only about 8 start. So much focus is on the sophomores that the other skilled players are getting overlooked. Not just from outsiders but their coaches too. Too much talent walking the side line. 

Not when you have the athletes, that's called bad coaching PERIOD! 

Silsbee’s defense was on the field for 36 min of the whole game. So go figure. That’s offense’s problem. They need to control the clock. 

I remember last year some Silsbee folks said football was Miller's future.

They have 13-14 Sophomores on varsity and they all Don’t start. There are juniors and seniors on the team. Only one starter I know of that’s out.

How bout both 

I would like to see Dodd more in the backfield. It’s evident they have several RB if given the chance to compete could be beneficial to the team. Miller is a good kid but putting him over the other RB on team is a bad move.
