Baylor up 62-61 with 40 seconds left.  Damion James going to the line for 2 with 35 seconds left.

J Brown with a big steal and layup with 1:30 left to put the horns up by 3!!!

Tied at 57 with 3:15 left, going into the media timeout.  J Brown is okay and back on the court.  he just made a nice around the back pass to Bradley, but it led to a missed 3 from the corner.

brown misses a bad shot, but makes up for it by pressuring the rebounder and taking an elbow for his troubles.  he's woozy, but he fouled out LaceDarius Dunn on the play.

Texas gets fouled rebounding a freethrow, no call, and then called for a phantom foul when the guy who went over the back trips himself and falls out of bounds.  the ball doesn't lie, though, and he missed both freebies.

Baylor's lead cut to 1, 54-53, 7:15 left.

Lomars setting some dirty screens for Baylor!  and Brown just got screwed making a great defensive play and called for a foul.  Horns within 2, 8:15 left.

Horns down 50-46 with 10 left.  they've been dominating since going down 14 to start the half, but they've missed several good chances or they'd have the lead by now.

LaceDarius Dunn just picked up his 4th foul with 10 left in the game!

A guy for Baylor just set a pick, knocked a guy down, and then walked into him for about 5 feet while he was trying to get up, knocking him over 3 more times with his knees.  no call, and Baylor hit a wide open three to go back up 6.  Texas now at the line for two to cut it to 4 at the 12:00 media timeout.

I like what i'm seeing from brown today.  7 points, 1-2 from deep, 4-4 from the line, 0 turnovers, 1 assist.

Texas on a 7-0 run and down only 7, and also in the bonus at the 15:00 minute mark.

Texas now down 14 after Baylor gets an NBA continuation and-1.

now down 11, and have missed 4 freethrows to start the half.

Horns have already drawn 5 baylor fouls in the first 2 1/2 minutes of the 2nd half.  unfortunately, they suck at freethrows.

Baylor is a very good team!  They're up 38-29 going into the 2nd half.  Texas has some work to do or AAW will be posting on here in a bit.

[/quote] as an HJ fan, i completely agree.  Silsbee not only has size, they have athletic, coordinated size.  I honestly believe that HJ is deserving of their top-10 ranking in the state, and Silsbee was able to stifle their offense and overcome their defense, without one of their most valuable players.  if they can avoid a major letdown, i'd be very surprised if they aren't representing SETX in austin this year.

[/quote] cool, thanks for the info.  next time you talk to him, ask him if he's possibly interested in having a guy with 22 years of soccer experience (including 3 years of college soccer) coming and helping out a bit next season.  i work at the head start, which is about a 2 minute drive from ozen.  i don't think it would be a problem since i'm also an employee of BISD, but i don't know the guy, and i don't know the policies of BISD.  he might also might not want/need any help.
