1. bouncing back pretty well...
 2. should be a decent test for Silsbee.  WOS has seemed to really get it together the last couple of games, and if #3 gets hot, he can keep them in it for awhile.
 3. time to see if HJ is suffering any hangover from the other night vs. Silsbee, or if they come out hungry to get back on the winning track...
 4.

Any 3 of the greatest staff ever assembled in S.L. Texas ;D ;D ;D ;D
I love your passion
swag is a very passionate guy(s)
 5. there are plenty of teams in the big east good enough to beat Texas... but that doesn't mean they will.  the more this team matures, the harder it will be.  they're playing competition week in and week out as good as what the big east would throw at them.
 6. help me out here... legacy is 0-19 in out of district games, but 9-0 in district?  how bad are the teams they're playing in district?
 7.
Great job Texas on getting a win. The freshman (Brown, Hamilton, Bradley) need play most of they game. They are the scorers, along with James, and need to get the ball late in the shot clock. I love the way Brown is playing too.
30 minutes of play, good defense the whole way... 4 assists, and only 1 turnover.  i'm hoping he's turning a corner... he's played a ton of minutes the last two games, and he only has 1 turnover a game.  he's making better decisions with the ball, and taking less bad shots as well.  if he keeps this up, he may not have flashy numbers, but he'll see a lot more playing time.
 8. it could be anyone's game this year.  i'll say Ozen, 3-2.
 9. nice bounceback for the horns!!!
 10.
talked to BC coach last night and from the sounds of it was intense!
has BC improved, or Central dropped off, or a bit of both?
 11. gotcha, my bad.  i think it's a bit more prevelant, but not THAT much more prevelant.  i saw a few punches throughout my playing time.
 12. Central 5, BC 4???  that must have been a heck of a game to watch!
 13.

Yates isnt built for size. They are built for full-court and up-tempo play. This team wont lose if they keep playing like this.
Yates may not bebuilt for size but with 9 out of 15 players listed at 6'2 or better and 4 of those 6'5-6'9 I would think they are one of the bigger teams in the state as well.
i'd have to say you're right :)
 14. i personally have no reason to be jealous of them.  i just don't like what they're doing, and i wouldn't want my kid in a program that taught that running up the score is good sportsmanship.  170 may have been holding back, and they may have been able to score 250, but they could have just as easily scored 120 and called it a game.
 15. posting this in so many different forums is a cheap ploy to catch me in posts... also, i noticed you skipped the soccer forum :)
 16.
HJ 2 - Lufkin Hudson 2
in my haste to post, i forgot to gives some props to Chris "Chocolate" Brown for scoring both of HJ's goals, one a well-placed penalty kick on a foul that he himself drew, and the other a difficult one-timer off of a low cross.  way to go, Chocolate!!!
 17.
If overrated describes a team that has enough talent to win it all, but keeps playing under their potential and losing to teams they should beat, then I agree that it describes Texas as of late. Most basketball games are won down the stretch where FTs win or lose games. Texas didn't come through. I don't blame Brown for the loss, but you tend to count on 90% FT shooters when they get fouled late. These are the players you want the ball in their hands so that they are the ones to go to the line. It just didn't happen. Texas is too talented to have been in that situation anyway. Big tournament still ahead..... Hook 'Em
well put.  that freethrow hurt, but there were far bigger factors in the game that caused texas to lose.  J Brown was one of the ones that kept them in it and helped bring the back.  this was the best game i've seen J Brown play since early in the season against the cupcakes.
 18.
I cant hate on Yates. the team that they're facing just needs to D up and land their shots if they dont wanna get beat. Nobody was saying anything when in '94 Nolan Richardson and the Hogs were pressing teams being up sometimes 30 in the second half of games.
ehh...    30 < 130
Not yet, I still have a poker tourney to play tonight!!! I am feeling good!!!! ;D
how did the tourney go?
Just got in. Placed 2nd, won $290, then played in cash game, won $215. Over $500 for the night will do. ;D
very nice!
 20.
I noticed two things......................... 1.  Coach Wise wearing a red t-shirt with yellow writing under his sports coat!!! :D :D :D 2.  The chic reporting is smokin hot!!!!!!!! :o :o :o
Laz with the facts that really matter  ;D
 21.
Not sure, but Silsbee could hang for a while!!!!
warmups, maybe.  an undersized defense that is very good, but probably not half the defense that yates has, held the tigers to 50 points (and the tigers weren't really playing stall ball).
 22.

an HJ player got a red card tonight for a punch he threw as well...
..........All I'm saying is all these video games are to blame. My statement still stands that I think people are losing respect for the game and fellow players on the field.
video games have nothing to do with it.  as Bon_Mot has posted before, people have been punching people when they're mad for a very long time.  i haven't played HS soccer in 9 years, and back then there were plenty of incidents like this.
 23. good of them to keep the winning margin under 100 this time.
 24. another classy, close played game for yates.
