-
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
-
Pena grounds out. 1 out left!
-
11 Ks tonight, 21 for the series
-
strikes out longoria. 2 outs left.
-
Lee back for the ninth.
-
2-run homer in the top of the 9th by kinsler!!!! big insurance runs! rangers up 5-1!!!!
-
there's that quick inning! something like 10 pitches... we might see him to at least start the 9th. the way he's pitching, and as shaky as the bullpen has been, i sure as heck hope they leave him in!
-
kinda cheap that Lee is pitching at a fast pace, but still rays batters have called time while he was starting his windup about 6 or 7 times tonight.

I just got told it's movie night. ::)
I did that after the Cowboy game.
Can Lee throw complete game? He's at 100 pitch now.
up to the coach. if he gets a quick 8th, maybe, but i'd expect to see CJ or O'day for the ninth.
-
Lee up to 9 strikeouts through 7. gives up a leadoff hit to Upton, but strands him on 2nd.
-
Rangers get a big run in the top of the 6th in almost exactly the same way as they got their first! running from 2nd, he never stopped, and when price took a half-second to question a safe call at first base, vlad was on his way home. he beat the tag at home by a hair.
Lee is throwing darts now...
i'm pretty sure he threw strike 3 twice against bartlett before the double last inning. i'm glad it didn't come back to hurt him.
Thats a triple if Cruz is running, but he makes up for it by stealing 3rd and scoring on a bad throw. 2-1 Rangers
getting on here to say the same thing... looks like they're starting to get to price. nellie smashed that ball, and then kinsler with a nice opp. field hit, and francoer absolutely crushed two foul balls in his at bat.
-
lee gets out of the jam... he was pretty unlucky. a 12 foot dinker and a self-defense flare to center lead to a run.
-
if the ump keeps giving Price the inside, tit-high strike call, the rangers might not score another run.
-
rangers take a 1-0 lead in the first on some great baserunning by elvis andrus. singles, steals second. he takes off for third on a hit and run, hamilton grounds out to first, but because the 1st baseman had to toss to the pitcher, who had his back to andrus, he scored all the way from second on a groundout!
Pretty close matchup here. I think the pitching is equal but the phillies have a better offense. Taking philadelphia in 6.
i'm gonna have to partially disagree with you. the giants have a good staff, but the phillies' is much better. when Roy O is your 3rd best starter, you have a decided advantage. look what they just did to the best offense in the national league... a no hitter and a 5-hit shutout in 3 games? scary. and i do agree they have a better offense as well. in this game, anything can happen, and i think the giants will take a couple from them. i'll agree with your prediction of phillies in 6.

i hated that i could not go, bh.

"Darling acknowledged that Dunn did indeed punch his client in the face one time after "she got up in his face arguing." he hit her, she just doesn't want to press charges, and neither does her dad. why would they? he's most likely playing in the NBA next season... so, what's the big deal if he breaks a jaw every now and then!
How in the world could you connect the Tea Party and racism ??? Having a little common sense in no way makes you a racist ;)
the tea party is nothing new. it's a movement of the more active members of the GOP. the whole thing was founded by republicans on the platform of lower taxes and smaller government, but it wasn't formed by everyday people, it was formed by conservative republicans. i don't understand why people think it's so shocking that a lot of tea-partiers get labeled racist. some of them are. also, their ultra-conservative social agendas are going to keep many of them from making it into office. people may be sick and tired of big government and overspending by the democrats, but that doesn't mean they're ready to burn homosexuals on the stake or ban abortion in the case of rape or incest. this is one of the things the republicans/tea partiers better realize, or they aren't going to see nearly the gains they might be expecting. i've been a liberal democrat for years, mostly based on social stances, but i honestly do want to see spending reforms made. i wouldn't mind seeing some republicans take back over, but i don't want one who makes a comment such as "I don't want children to be brainwashed into thinking homosexuality is acceptable". I don't want one who is ignorant enough to not see the value of the separation of church and state. Republicans can't treat this is as another republican mandate. Remember Newt Gingrich in 94? He and other republicans mistook big gains in the house and senate as support for republican policy, when in fact it was simply voters wanting ANYTHING but democrats in office. The GOP got so conservative with their policy, thinking they could do whatever they want, that they managed to take big losses in the 98 elections after scaring off the moderate and disenchanted democrats. that WILL happen again if some of the tea-party wackos take support for their party as support for all of their wacked out conservative beliefs, and not just support for lower taxes and smaller government. you're welcome.

the worst thing about this is that Neftali Feliz might be useless in the playoffs, after being the anchor of their bullpen. i'll be curious to see where his confidence is after giving up the go-ahead run and then a HR tonight.
