OK, I heard that HJ wants to play a playoff game instead of a flip...but Silsbee doesn't and if Silsbee doesn't it would be considered a forfeit, then Hj would be considered to be the lower seed. I'm not sure how that makes since??
don't know where you heard it, but no way this is correct.

 8. the personal attacks have to stop or i'll start handing out warnings and vacations.
 9. rattled off three straight against TT, A&M, and K-state.  none signature wins, but all decent wins that will help come tourney time.  up to .500 in conference.

It's Every direction people are leaving...And there is nothing wrong with Sour lake... It's a great school...
No question about that...excellent basketball program too..I just know that BISD should never lose a basketball player to HJISD..What could you possibly gain, OTHER than being in a better basketball program, THESE days? Nothing wrong with Sour Lake...Why would a family move from Liberty to Houston to get AWAY from traffic and congestion? Makes about the same amount of sense...Westbrook is a really good school, but the basketball program is suffering...So why HJISD from BISD?....Basketball.
You need to remember that you are using YOUR values and YOUR logic and attempting to suggest that your method is what everybody else uses.  Sorry, that won't fly.  I moved to Sour Lake long before basketball was a consideration ini order to access the school district and for the benefits of semi-rural living and being on a golf course.  Basketball is not the primary reason that people are leaving the city.
So would you pass up 4 restaurants of the exact same quality, to eat at one 25 miles away just because? There is a reason for everything...Not saying that anyone is at FAULT, but you know what it is....Guys didn't just show up at Ozen either for us because of our performing arts program... ::)...Build it and they will come...not mad at you for that... ;)
comparing your kids' education and the quality of the area you live in to eating food doesn't really work.  no, i wouldn't normally pass up 4 restaurants of the same quality to eat 25 miles away, but i might if the service sucked, the food was 3 times the price, and my car might get broken into in the parking lot...
 11. alright, gonna lock it.  second one today :)
 12. nederland's good.  i don't think they're world beaters, but they have a good team.
:D I', sure HJ put in their bench players for valuable playing time. I expect them to play just as hard as JY's bench players ;)
yup, but i bet HJ's bench was playing really hard in a half-court defense and offense, and not running a press with a 2nd string that would start for most other houston schools...
Dude, it really don't matter how you try and sugar coat it, a 75 point win or a 50 point win. JY's style is to press the whole game. Thats their system. Maybe HJ's system is press and play half court. Go JY ! [s]Go HJ! [/s]  OOOPS! Got too carried away.
Dove- there you go again.  It's ok for Yates to have large margins of victory and yet you post that HJ "ran up the score" on Orangefield.  Which is it?  Or is it possibly "writers choice"?
Nah, its okay for HJ to run up scores, I have a problem with yall who *pretend* HJ ain't running up scores. JY,HJ, SHS, etc all trying to get quality minutes to their players when possible. Nothing wrong with that.
so there's no difference between the 2nd string of one team possibly extending a lead a little bit while running halfcourt sets and defenses and another 2nd string that's as good as most schools' first strings doubling a deficit through pressing?
 14.
We're #1, but we're not very good.....according to some people. Too many wishy-washy statements made around here. Ned. won district last year and tied for first this year.....B-U-T........ ::)
i'd say nederland is the tied for best team in a pretty mediocre district.  they're a pretty good team, that will probably be better next year.  but i think Ozen and Central will be much better next year, too.  Then Nederland might end up being the 2nd or 3rd best team in the district, but it will be a better district.

I'm trying to figure out whose in the elite 0.1% ;)
it's me.  i never demean individual players ;)
I agree- You never do that.  I  have two questions regarding that.  !.  Do you think that has anything to do with a social lean to the left?  2.  Would you be more inclined to criticize a player if his father was a rich Republican? ;D
nah, your sons were some of my favorite HJ players when i was younger ;)
 16. wow.  don't know anything about deer park, but thought wb was pretty decent this year.
 17. i got the hard ones right this week, and the easy ones we all got wrong.  how does it feel to have a soccer boy up at the top of the list?  ;D  on an aside, got the first three on the list correct, picking teams to lose but cover the spread :).  SOCCER!
