1. here's one that i haven't seen mentioned... coachability... these days this is a quality that many players don't have, but it plays a huge rule in the development of talent in HS players, especially if the coach is a good one.
 2.
Congrats Bullets.  Would you say that your success is attributable to  your talent or basketball acumen?
well, i didn't give up when i was in last place after 3 district games... but i think most of it has to do with being willing to pick against the easy pick and take a team that you know is going to lose and still pick them to beat the spread.  also, i'm good at soccer, which gives me an advantage over these yahoos :)
 3. Guy for sela just got ejected for throwing an elbow.
 4. Lamar went cold and sela went on a run. 34-25 at the half
 5.

Silsbee conceded their way around Ricky Seal Jones. He is nasty!
Yes right into a Brookshire Royal team that has two '6"6 post players and swept Jones' Sealy team in district by scores of 101-81 and 86-70. ;) ::) The concession had more to do with Silsbee wanting to lineup a particular warm up opponent and prepare them for some match up problems than the route thru the brackets.
Plus they didn't want to lose to hj again ;)
 6. 18-4 Lamar, 11:40 left in the half. At the game. Lamar can't miss right now
 7. another lesson for coaches on how to take a game that's obviously over at the half and keep it from getting completely out of hand...
 8. I know that this is far from a cakewalk in the 1st round for Silsbee... but how does Silsbee actually matchup with Splendora?  AAW, i know you've seen both teams play.  what do you think?
 9. yeah, and i'm taller than you, and you're better looking than me ;)
 10. 11. you know you're in tenaha when the roads finally open up, but the speed limit inexplicably drops to 55.

 13. i like the odds of one of them making it to the regional finals, but not both this year... too many good teams for them to have to go through.
 14. congrats to both teams, and good luck in the playoffs!
 15. how did robert get someone to marry him?  just kidding.  but seriously.
This is 100% correct.
Let them play...  for us fans!  8)
I agree.  Assuming that both teams win tomorrow night a decision would be made on Wednesday morning. I hope that they both agree to play.
I don't see it happening.
honestly not stirring the pot here.  does this have to do with the fact that HJ is a slight favorite to beat them, or what?  what is Sigler's rationale behind not playing for seeding?
1. He is looking for a matchup problem team for his team to be better prepared for. (dominant inside game) 2. This particular year, neither side of the bracket is favorable. So being #1 seed is not as important. no real benefit. 3. Seen HJ enough, would like to play some other teams.
All legitimate reasons...
i agree... still would like to see the game, but i appreciate the explanation.  i knew there would be one, which is why i asked ;)

 19. well, we know yates does whatever it takes to win.  dropping their recruiting class down to 3A will make it even easier for them to win state, so i guess i won't be surprised if they didn't appeal.
