  1. HF up 3-0, BC with a pitching change already. 2 outs, runners on 2nd and 3rd for HF
  2. HF up 2-0, still threatening in the 1st
  3. there goes any chance the Texans had of doing anything this year. on a plus side, now they can sign Kap or Cutler and I can hate them even more.
  4. Tough spot for the sophomore Henry from HF. Going against the #6 team in the state at their house, with their stud on the mound. Also only his 2nd or 3rd career start and 1st career district start. I look forward to seeing what he does the rest of this year and the next two. He's grown a lot over the last year, but there's a pretty good chance that he's going to put on several more inches in the next two years. If he puts some meat on that frame he's going to be a tough guy to face. I love that even after the silsbee bats got to him he pushed through it and finished the game off with a couple of scoreless innings.
  5. Henry struggling a little. Lots of full counts this inning running his pitch count up
  6. Sundgren with a 1-2-3 first, two Ks
  7. Looks like they both will . Bet there aren't pitching matchups like this very often! I didn't want to drive all the way to silsbee, but if I'd known they were throwing against each other I woulda made trip.
  8. who's pitching? would be kinda funny for sundgren to have to pitch against his girlfriend's brother.
  9. #Bradswifematters
  10. yeah, he's a really solid player. I'm looking forward to seeing him grow and fill out in the next couple of years.
  11. Gatesville won 7-1
  12. Brandon Henry, Soph, HF, 1 against WOS tonight
  13. My neighbor Brandon Henry hit his first varsity home run for HF tonight.
  14. Humble won 2-1
  15. how many members, and how many more needed?
  16. better you than me. that's why I chose to let them walk when I saw them at Chaparral two years ago.
  17. I'll take the bear, on the sheer size advantage.
  18. Exactly. There simply aren't enough people in the area. When you factor the amount of people interested in whatever sport, and then subtract the people who either A) don't care about minor leagues, can't afford to attend, or C) aren't willing to travel from the outlying areas, you just don't have a big enough fan base to sustain a team. The hockey team actually did pretty well, and had a good fan base, but I seem to remember either the team owner or the city trying to squeeze too much money out of the other one (can't remember which), which led to their moving
  19. You gonna eat that stinkpig if you kill one?
