For now. How damaging will it be when enough of Trump's nutters get in office and start messing with election results that they don't like? To be honest, I'm sure most of the folks on here would think it's great, at least until the dems use the same new rules to do it to us. Imagine a world where AOC wielded the type of power that some would like Trump to have. Then you'll really see some damaging policy.

There are plenty of pro-lifers and pro-second amendment conservatives that aren't nutty, just like there are plenty of liberals that are pro-choice and anti-gun that aren't nutty. My point was that there are factions of extremists on both sides that are awful.

there's definitely just as big of a dumpster fire on the far right as there is far left. A lot of Trump disciples won't acknowledge it because anything he says is the gospel, and he supports these radical righties, but there are some absolutely nutty conservatives in office right now. It's going to hurt the right in the near future, during a time where they should be making massive gains. It's already showing up in races where republicans were projected to flip seats, but are going to lose because radical conservatives backed by Trump got enough support to get the nomination, but are too radical to actually win the election. Then again, all it takes to get his endorsement is to claim election fraud, with literally nothing else being a qualification, so it's not really a surprise that some of the goofballs he's endorsing aren't the best candidates.

Was getting on to say exactly this. She was pretty moderate for a democrat 20 years ago, so you can only imagine how far she is from the more liberal left now. that being said, she's also probably closer to your average Republican these days than someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene is.

I watched a video the other day where an officer tazed a guy. The guy dropped like a sack of potatoes, then rolled around and was able to eventually pull the prongs out and charged the officer who ended up shooting him. Seems like they’re only effective to a certain point. It’s dependent on A) getting good contact, and B ) whether or not it takes the fight out of the suspect. And of course C) whether or not they’re on some sort of narcotic that makes them impervious to the taser’s effects

Most likely. LCM has the athletes to counter Lumberton's air attack, but aren't firing on all cylinders right now. But both teams will give Lumberton's defense some issues. Against HF and Tatum they've shown they struggle against the run, and they haven't faced anyone like Morris, or anything like Vidor's Slot-T, which they're working well right now. I kind of expect high scoring games in both these.

I’ve gone on record saying I think L-town is over ranked at 7. I still believe that. That being said, they do have a very good team, top-15 or 20 IMO. The #7 team in the state should beat vidor by a lot. I don’t think that happens, but they should win this game by a couple of touchdowns. If it’s in that range, or closer, I’ll stand by my assessment of them. If it’s a blowout I’ll reconsider some.

HF is a whoooole lot better the last two seasons than they’ve been in years past. Last year WOS beat them 24-8 after a couple of decades of beating them by 30-40 points. HF has taken another step forward this year, IMO. Silsbee has taken a big step forward. WOS has been awesome in district over the years, no doubt about it, but this is the best district WOS has been in for as long as I can remember. For years and years traditionally the only real threat to them in district was Silsbee. And while they beat them in district consistently, we’re only a few years removed from Silsbee knocking them out of the playoffs two years in a row. WOS has played possibly the toughest schedule of any 4A team in the state to this point. Combine that with new schemes, and they’ve struggled. There are some valid concerns with the coaching, I get it. But I don’t think it’s a guarantee that they wouldn’t have 2-3 losses at the point if they had the same staff as last year. With the exception of HF, all the teams that have beaten them this year have also beat them at times over the last several years as well.

My thinking on that field goal is this: your defense has only allowed one touchdown all game. If you go for it and fail, LA wins with a touch down and a fg. If you kick the field goal, they need two touchdowns in 5 1/2 minutes to win. I agreed with the call in that particular scenario.

This Dallas pass rush is terrifying. The defense is responsible for the 4-1 record. They’ve allowed 5 touchdowns in 5 games. That’s pretty insane. They haven’t played weak teams this year. Tom Brady, the two teams from last year’s Super Bowl, and the giants, who are 4-1. Rush has filled in well, but he’s nothing but a game manager. Give him credit for not turning the ball over, but 4 touchdowns in 4 1/2 games is not great. If Dak comes back and can even be pretty good, this team can make some noise

Yup, what AAW said. WOS is 3-4, with one of the tougher schedules in the state so far. And 5-30 will never be comparable to 30-5. I get the point that 5-30 against better opponents is not the same as 5-30 against good opponents, but EC’s opponents have lost to plenty of average and bad teams. EC has obviously beaten the very easy opponents in front of them, but not by the margins they would’ve in previous years, and a 41 point loss to HF is unheard of. Thus, they are down this year compared to last year. I picked them to beat Buna, for what it’s worth.
