Im sure he will be allright , although he maybe heartbroken he has a playoff game this weekend and a chance to advance toward a state championship, as well as graduating early . Im sure some other schools will look to offer him a scholarship, but this is one of the things that happens in the adult world on a daily basis . Lies , deception and broken promises are a part of life he will be faced with . unfortunately its with a 17-18 year old kid and its sad but that just shows you how some of these college coaches aint !!! With a strong family base he can learn from this and move on with his young life and hopefully becomes a successful young man in whatever he decides to do, Good luck to the young man .

Im so tired of people saying teams hasnt played anyone up to this point . The teams can only play who is in front of them . Hell they had to play someone because both teams are in the 6th game which means they beat 5 teams to get to jerry's world . i dont see how wos are underdogs they beat whoever was in front of them , gilmer has beat whoever was in front of them . Sinton is at home and so is celina . Both teams are history!!! Gilmer and Wos are 5-0 with one game left for all the marbles thats all that counts . Everything else are opinions and we all know the sayinh opinions are like ... you know the rest . Cant wait till the game it should be a jim dandy !!

tj got outcoached in the second half , that game shouldn't have even been close tj had studs all over the place . I went too hamshire and i was crushed they had lost especially after my school underachieved and lost to a team in regionals they shouldn't have lost to .

Looking foward seeing dt and gilmer's blake lynch (baylor commit) battle should be a jim dandy . Gilmer is stacked all over , but WOS seems to be on a mission . if you looked at earlier quotes from a couple months ago i said when hj was 5-0 they should make it too the qtr finals barring injuries or a let down . Well you saw hj and OF when they almost came back and put up points against hj defense , then the 39 points the one man show from hamshire put up on their d , and then Wos soph gashed their d for 200 yards . My point is when hj runs into a team like or similar to a WOS will they be able win ? Not hang but WIN !!! In the 2 games they lost hj defense gave up over 200 yards to backs from teams that were ranked higher than they were . So my prediction was wrong and i dont like to be wrong cause this hj team was better than last years team and they shouldve went to at least one more round . So the WOS game was a big eye test for me to see when hj plays a team like WOS how would they fair ? Well they came out against Lagrange and put up 21 points in the first 24 minutes but there is 48 minutes in a game and a sloppy lagrange put up 29 points in the second half 29-7 and the ball game . I have nothing against hj im just an onlooker like everybody else , now 30 years ago as an hf alum and living in cheeks texas where crap was talked when it was hj week from the 7th grade to varsity you bet i hated them . But I havent put on pads since 1985 so i dont have a dog in any of these fights. im just analyising the games and teams from the area i played ball in . Dont take this stuff personal because 99 % of the people posting on here arent playing friday or Saturday and even if you have a kid playing THEY are playing , not YOU !!! just be a parent and support and cheer for your sons . The rest of us are just playing john madden and pat summerall on this wonderful site .

WOS qb was 7-12 for 44 yards 2tds and 2 ints . WOS dedense and special teams won that game no question .

in the first half, how many completions was there??? not talking about the two completions to LM defense lol...that would be a very big 0!!  second half, WOS had to go to screens, which is a form of a pass. with the exception of the one thrown TD, NOTHING WAS down the field burners, like you and others had predicted. as i said, i think LG will play and have a MUCH better pass defense than LM.

i see what mouse is saying and numbers dont lie . PNG 1975 ,HEBERT 1976, , WESTBROOK 1982 , FRENCH 1984 ,and WOS 1986-1987. That is 2 titles in the 70's , 4 more in the 80's and so far in the 2000's no state titles . Now mind you im talking golden triangle which when i was coming up that is all i paid attention to because it had some of the baddest players and teams in the state. I live in northern va now and when i first got here and people would find out i was from texas they would ask me did i play high school football there ? Whats it like ? Why is it so big there ? Etc etc . That is why i dont get to caught up in setx , west texas , east texas and the likes because its all texas . But it is a difference seems like to me when the rounds start getting to 4 and beyond. Recently people have asked about west texas football and east texas football because they heard thats who has the best programs and some of these guys lived in those areas briefly and caught a glimpse of it . It is facts to what is being said , i just got on this site back in 2012 and started following football again , i was always kept informed about football by my friend who comes back home all the time and was shocked no one from the area had won state in years , but its great talent coming out the area as usual . Even my man said coaching isnt what it use to be and some of these schools need to step up and get with the times . When you see Katy , allen , carthrage, argyle , yoe , refugio, you just see some different ball played . I know the golden triangle can match them player for player we always had studs come out of that area . I dont have a dog in the fight , but it would be cool to see a team from the area be at jerry's world world more often , but its gonna be tough . I couldnt tell you i was just commenting on the score and from the looks of it , it was over before it started . Ask the person that finally put the final score up , that took a long time too post that score when all the other scores were up . Didnt take long last week . I want too see myself i will be looking for highlights or some kind of film on what hapened . From the looks of it a sefwnsw shut down the slot t and their offense does what their offense does .

A team that let an inferior kountze team hang 42 on their defense that isnt impressive . If kountze had a couple 3 and outs this game might have went different . Im skeptical of teams this time a year letting teams score over 30 plus on their d . I dont care if you can score 90 points your d doenst suppose to give up 50 . Yeah you won but what does that say about your defense ? I beleive a YOE fan came on here and said they were gonna be allright come playoffs , well ....

i played at hamshire and even in our down years we played defense even if we couldnt do nothing else . i know with all this spread offense teams are putting up points and defense has gotten left in the dust . we watched teague put up 76 points on kountze , but kountze scored 40 plus . i saw last night some team scored 90 and the other scored 50 . what coach or kid wants to get 50 plus hung on them ? some say your  still winning but no defense wants that .  where is the pride ? . i know it happens , but every week ? the emphasis on defense is gone . but we do have 7 on 7 tournaments that are  catered  to the offensive explosion. it  helps timing with qbs and wideouts and even defensive backs . where are the defensive drills tournaments  that show these kids how to actually TACKLE AND WRAP UP !!! footwork , the use of hands , how too get off blocks , how too stuff a hole , learning to read offenses and make calls . some of these scores are just ridiculous !!! 

i can guarantee kashmere has way more help and athletes on their team then hamshire.King is an athlete who plays qb his real position is running back . The qb from kashmere looks like a qb who is athletic. Remember, mouse said he has receivers. hamshire has no receivers or at least they have never used them (no kids fault ) . Hell i heard after OF scored the first td last week hamshire drove down the field throwing the ball and scored then stopped throwing . I dont know why they dont throw the ball , but i think teams can throw on OF but that is my opinion we will see later on today and in the later playoff rounds .
