1.
I've been saying it since day 1.  GREAT hire by Liberty!!  Now, lets see if the kids respond.
Not just the kids. The community. Good Luck Coach!
 2.

for 21-5A I got: 1. Deer Park 2. Channelview 3. Sterling 4. PAM ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. La Porte 6. West Brook 7. North Shore :P
^^^ thats a joke btw. my prediction is 1. PAM 2. LP 3. NS 4. Channelview 5. Deer Park 6. WB 7. Sterling
DP, NS, & LP have returning QB's. NS & LP return proven RB's. NS & LP return typically sound D's. NS, DP, LP, PAM, WB, CV, BS. It will take LP some time to gel. They also travel to GPISD & Abshier in 2013. DP and NS owe LP. Both have LP at their home stadiums. This may be the year. PAM & WB are at Bulldog Stadium. Wouldn't be surprised at multiple tiebreakers. All said with very little insight into WB at this time. Quiet in BISD...
 3.
If they bring the salary and allow him to upgrade facilities, I feel it is a lock.  Those are the two things he needs to be hammering in negotiations,.
La Porte to Liberty is about 40 minutes. The only way it's a lock is if he wants to put his own stamp on a program. He has support, salary, 5A recognition at LP. I'm not saying plus or minus one way or the other. I will say--as an analogy--I'm opening a new engineering office in the Sulphur/Lake Charles area. I can beat any compensation (bennies and pay) that are currently offered. I'm finding it difficult due to uncertainties with our current fiscal/medical situation as promoted by the Federal Government. Many are leery to make a major move right now... I feel it will take a major commitment by Liberty and a long-term arrangement. Just my thoughts. Geting closer to family is one thing. Salary/benefits/longevity is an entirely different matter. Especially when we're discussing 40 minutes.
 4.

IF Taylor takes the job, congrats to him and Liberty. Great coach. All foes get ready for some serious misdirection offense. Don't expect many passes. Expect a pound game with a seriously confused opponent D.
You are right.  There is an "if".  Taylor let it be known last year that he was not leaving LP for peanuts.  Him not being in Hardin came down to dollars. Liberty needs to pony up.
He's got a great gig at LP. Good money. Close to home. PO's pretty much every year with a chance to go very far any given year. Hometown mystique and nostalgia only goes so far. Risk/Reward scenario.
 5. IF Taylor takes the job, congrats to him and Liberty. Great coach. All foes get ready for some serious misdirection offense. Don't expect many passes. Expect a pound game with a seriously confused opponent D.
 6. Fairly sure La Porte will be okay. Regardless of possible coaching changes. The basic system and tradition will remain. Just need to continue to take the next step and build off it.
 7.
I've seen conflicting dates and times of when the La Porte game is.  Can someone confirm date, time & location?
Saturday, 11/24, 2 pm, the Rig (Pearland). LP is Home Side.
 8. PAM needs to win this game where 21-5A can send the best rep's forward in the PO's. If WB pulls the upset, Week 10 games will be nailbiters for PAM, DP & WB.
 9. Could have a show over near La Porte land. I know, I know...we're not SETX and we're not really Houston either...People would show up though. That, I could pretty much guarantee! Thx for addressing my question also. Enjoyed the show. Heard Scooter crawfishin'. Not sure yet, huh? lol
 10. 21-5A: PO teams are fairly set. Divisions are fairly set. Order isn't. I could easily see all having at least 1 loss after week 10. Thoughts? DP/LP rivalry--pick 'em, but LP has deep threat now and team back. QB has 12 TD passes & 2 running TD's in basically 5 games. Common stats vs. BWB favor LP big time defensively. NS/LP--LP actually matches up better against NS in interior D than PAM. NS pass game not that big of a threat deep. NS will need to try to get the edge. PAM/LP--Fisk can chew LP's secondary up if given time. Like him!!! PAM run game will be a no go. LP has multiple running threats. LP also has a kicker that can change the game, and a QB that can throw. Stacking 9 may be questionable this year. DP/NS--DP has historically played NS tough. PO game went to OT at Abshier I believe.
 11. I didn't think the post game stuff was a big deal. Typically, teams form a line and shake hands immediately. In this case, PAM gathered together first, then walked out to shake hands. It was only about 2-3 minutes. NS fans started booing immediately. I chalk it up to a rivalry game and homecoming for NS. High emotions.
 12. Game went about as expected. Even after mentioning "don't kick long to #2", PAM seemed to want to do it anyway. Oh well. I'm not a coach. I'm sure they know more than me. Interesting that the best rushing play for either team was the broken play/QB scramble. Very entertaining game!
 13. Good job RSS. Figured "The Streak" would end this game, this year. Also mentioned it would be a nailbiter. OT would seem to count.
 14. Do any Bruin fans use Friday Night Rivals and update scores?
 15. BWB won't have to worry too much about 3 or 4 different backs and styles. DP has a very talented RB, but thin after that at the position. BWB needs fan support big-time. BWB needs to stretch the field to have a chance. Quick scores. Use speed to get behind the D. I--personally--haven't seen DP yet this year. But, I'd expect them to win the majority of the time in line play from being at the BWB game last Sat. and knowing DP's tendencies and history. JMO
 16.
Will the streak end vs Channelview or will RSS be looking at 2013 for a win?
I've said Sterling in this game, this year, since before the season started. I'm sticking to it. Might be a nail-biter though.
Details: LP is down to only 2 OL & 1 TE out now. Bye Week is good timing this week.  ;)
Bring your gas mask week 10. were burning marshes.  :D
;) Seriously, BWB seemed to want to try a lot of passes to the flats. Won't work against LP. Couldn't get the edge on runs. Couldn't get anything inside. Spearman made a couple good catches as I recall, but was taken away most of the night. BWB D was being pushed around pretty good. LP needs to clean up some play. I think they had over 100 yds. in penalties and still over 500 in offense. Starters pulled after 3. Teams may want to rethink stacking 8-9 in the box against LP.
The problem is, Spearman is the only WR Clack is allowed to throw to. All the other receivers are just used as decoys. It's not hard to figure out who the ball is being thrown to. Hence, it isn't hard to figure out who to double team, thus taking away any real passing threat. It's a shame, really, because there are some othere really good receivers on the team that wont see a pass thrown to them. This just from my own observation.
That is a shame. Not anything against Spearman--he has talent. Good routes. Good hands. Passes to flats may be more successful against DP, BS, CV. I don't see them working against PAM or NS. I'd try to stretch the field more... I will say last night was the first game LP had their entire D back.
 18. BWB fans need to come out in force to support against DP. Loud and proud. Key game for both.
 19. This will be a good game. It's become somewhat of a rivalry. I'll be there!
Hell and North Shore beat the crap out of Cinco Ranch. I just hope that this year Katy goes Divsion 1 like they should anytime a school with that enrollment makes the playoff. Hay the rules are the rules though.
Well...Katy is there are 4 schools in Katy's district that are larger than theirs....pretty sure they don't make the rules....enrollment numbers don't matter...it's participation numbers. I've seen Schools almost twice the size as Katy with fewer that 50 kids on varsity. North Shore also beat the crap out of Clear Springs...who beat the crap out of LP...... Not a Katy fan, but technically...Klein,Alief Taylor, Woodlands, Morton ranch.....are all D1 teams...For what it's worth.
I'm not a comparison A beats B who beats C, who loses to A kinda' guy. I like to look at execution of each specific team. D2R3--this year--seems like it very well may be more loaded with quality teams in each round.
Agreed, but a lot of people love that irrelevant formula. Right now, the greater houston area is a crap shoot with only Katy and North Shore standing out like you said.... Katy seems to be a lock for D2, would love to see them against North Shore again. Cinco Ranch is a pretty decent team and people forget they were with out 5 starters, all captians by the way vs North Shore...RB Jamel James and QB Cole Thomas as well....I still think North Shore wins that game, but more than likely not a blow out......Katy's depth this year is crazy
Katy is deep at RB, TE, DL, and LB. An argument could be made they're 3 deep at QB. Depth in secondary, OL is light. WR position is non-existant right now. Kicking game is MUCH improved.  ;)
With the way they are running the ball now...they dont need kickers or WR's lol Depth shouldnt be an issue with all games being over at halftime and lots of players getting playing time. I saw something on Twitter saying that in 3 of their 4 games this year...every kid that suited up played....that's crazy considering that the 4 teams they played are probably playoff teams
You know that will come to an end. Probably not in 19-5A, but PO's. Keep those OL healthy. LP's been without 3-4 all season. Makes a person who doesn't really know the game appreciate what they do... For those of us that know the game, we know it's a killer to any O.

 25. PAM got a wake up call from DP. They'll be focused.
