Week one summary of conference results:
 
SEC - 10 Wins 1 Loss and beat 2 ranked teams
Pac 12 - 10 Wins 2 Losses and no opposition was ranked
Big 12 - 6 Wins 3 Losses - and not opposition was ranked
 
So far the SEC still appears to be the best conference.
 
No whocareswhatmyname is - blast this Aggie because he had the gall to say that the conference that A&M choose to play in is perhaps the best in the land. 

Obsession noted.  Aggies don't give a rip what Texas was doing before their game.   

Neither the two coaches you mentioned was 20-6 in two years either nor did they have the recruiting classes THE BOSS has gotten!! Nice try but move on Txhoops...

The rapist and murders playing in the league must get crazy ratings compared to a 21 yr old who just likes to go out partying.

I always heard this argument that the SEC has such low academic standards - so I found it interesting that Time Magazine ranked the College football top 25 - as ranked by academics.
 
SEC had six teams in the top 25 and the BIG 12 had just 3 - of the Big 12 schools they were ranked behind 5 SEC teams and only 2 managed to beat out the other SEC team.  Texas by the way was the lowest of the BIG 12 team ranked at No. 22.

No. 14 - Texas A&M
No. 15 - Florida
No. 19 - South Carolina

No. 17 - Kansas State

Kinda shots all kinda holes in that statement that Texas would not be in a low academic conference - as it appears they already are.
 
But I guess that Time Magazine has a SEC slant as well.

A lot of coaches are taking shots at the SEC - and they can - but until another league can place 1/2 of its teams in the top 25 (as well as having 3 - 4 in the top 10) on a fairly regular basis they all sound like crybabies. 

Johnny will be fine after he leads Cleveland to a playoff berth this season.
