[/quote] Pitchers that throw very hard at a young age have developed fast twitch muscles and at times they can have control issues, especially a lefty.  Yes Austin Marshall has had some issues, but he has also had so really fine performances.  I'm sure he was just lucky enough to have you there when he was struggling.  He played 57 baseball games this summer and has had several division one schools take interest, not only because of his pitching capability but his speed, glove, arm strength and power at the plate.  He is a five tool guy and that is all that matters he is now currently on the Sun devils roster and he has had an national invite by Marucci Elite to play in the underclassman Championships all of which is an honor. He is a young 15 year old and time will tell all...maybe your right, but to make the statement you made is a bit unwarranted.  As far as the other guys...they are great players and being young they had issues from time to time, but they will develope and they will do great.

I thought Kounze looked much better than last year or the previous years...saw alot of intensity by all the coaches.  I think all of them are doing a great job giving these kids a new direction. Defense was much improved and the Offense stumbled a bit but I know we were missing a few key people who were not dressed out yesterday. In addition, the offense Kountze is running is going to take them a few more practices to get it down. Offense skill guys were fast...the line just needs to make adjustments and know assignments.  Defense was fast to the ball...Kountze should not get blown out this year.  At quarterback I think Kountze will have to make a hard decision...go with the young freshman who is a tremendous athlete and let him cut his teeth or go with an upperclassman.  I like the freshman, but everyone needs to remember he is young and will make mistakes. Want to put a thank you out to coaches...Franklin, Kirby, Harper, Colton, Middleton, Hancock, Jubert, Thrasher, McQueen and I know we got another new coach don't know his name...but thanks! Sorry if I missed anyone. You guys are making a Difference with these kids...By the way saw something that I have not seen in Kountze ever...Coach Middleton was having to tune up the Offense, " little running...attention getter". anyway told the Defense they were excused from the fun...looked up and here came the entire Defense...Coach Middleton said if you did not play Offense take a knee and a couple of Defensive guys said " Coach we are a team" and they ran with the Offense...great job guys! 

It's simple for Kountze...you cant have more than 3-losses...or your done

ec, newton, anahuac would not be a hard thing to sell...kountze, hardin, warren would be the sell of the century. Kirbyville, woodville could go eitherway.  Here is my prediction, 1st, newton 2nd, EC 3rd, (anahauc, kirbyville, kountze) 6th, woodville, 7th, hardin, 8th, warren.  3rd spot will be a fight...This year should be fun to watch!

wow...if I just had your magic 8 ball you"dont"knowit...don't take a little excitement and turn it into world changing events.  I just know Kountze looks better at this point than at any other time before...atleast over the past 5 years.  Kountze is going to be better and these kids are working hard to change things...more power to them, they got my support!  before you make up your mind or shake your 8-ball go look for yourself.

I think Kountze will do very well this year...yes price did leave a hole but, With Marshall, Franklin, Whisenhant, Logleion, and fregia...all soph. two left and three right...this staff will be good this year and will dominate the folloeing two years.

I would have to say to kountzemania that I too have seen something I have never seen at Kountze...good size and speed to boot on the same field.  Hey, I am not under any crazy illusion, but things could be a bit of a surprise this year for those who have to play Kountze.  If Kountze were to be a district contender or palyoff team...well lets just say it would be one of the biggest turn around in southeast texas football history, so lets just say for now things look much better and brighter in Kountze at this point! Kountzemania...I like emotion...football is an emotional game.

I think pitching is going to be a factor for sure but no matter what a team has to generate runs and be opportunistic when errors occur. It's all about execution in the game of baseball...a game full of failure and it's those who fail the least that win games...it's not rocket science...LOL!

Howell is a very good pitcher and the McHenry kid is good as well.  Deweyville will have two good guys for sure to go through district play. Kountze will have two Soph. pitchers left and right...Franklin being the rt. and Marshall being the lt. Both these guys are 85 mph or better and that was taken by Perfect Game at East Cobb so that is not inflated.  Kountze and Deweyville should be a great match up!

I also heard some of that same thing...I guess we will see what pans out!

Buna will work hard as usual.  They always do, they will not be embarrased because they did not work.  They may get out played and roughed up a bit aginst guys like west orange and silsbee, but they should be pretty well matched up aginst the rest of the district and maybe a even a leg up on hj and hf.  Not from Buna but they have pride...no joke when they say they bleed blue.  Folks should not make the mistake in thinking Buna will be a give me game...those guys will fight to no look bad.

Koutze Lions vs whoever...just want to play ball and take our first steps in rebuilding our program! 

You know I am truly sorry I ever tried to make conversation with king james 123 about anything.  I was just trying to highlight a possible positive...I am deeply bothered by this on going exchange...no one was hired for their kids.  I implore everyone to leave that out of this.  Coach Franklin is a good man who cares about kids and has a valuble amount of admin experience on top of multisport knowledge...girls and boys...it was this that was the basis of his hire.  Once again please let this end so those in Kountze can move on and embrace the coming future. It is my hope that TJ Ramsey does not leave, because I have no doubt he cares for these kids and the best for them. If someone is unhappy in Kountze than I would hope they would move on and not become a drag to the efforts of turning things around in Kountze.  We have enough challenges to overcome as it is and we do not need anything else to distract our efforts.  Coach Franklin...I am sorry for the behavior that has been represented on this forum and I hope you see past this thin layer of sarcasm and deflection. Kountze is a good community and it has good people living in it and those people will give you your opportunity. Freedom of speech is a great freedom, but let's don't trample a good man and his family just to ratify ones opinion.

Thanks for that and if my info was wrong than I was misinformed and I am glad that is your position with kids...I have nothing to do with you or your job. Obviously you have just been deeply misunderstood on this forum and all you want to do is get on board with things here in Kountze. Trust me just like you I try to make a positive impact on kids and if you read my post you will see I in no way supported any comments made about your kids and you should proud of your kids...sorry those were said. I hope you can find a peace and truly be devoted to taking a positive roll in Kountze or continuing the one you say you have. 

You no I am glad someone else saw it for what it was...look even if it was meant to be funny...it was in bad taste. I understand you were reasigned and demoted from varsity football DC to junior high by Lance Dale...and from what I was told if the right guy got the job you were back in business. The right guy did not get it and myself and large number of other, think you are sour. You have coached in Kountze half your career...head coach and ad...maybe 2nd or 3rd round in kountze...you seem very unhappy with things and maybe the grass is greener down the road...and as far as anyone saying anything about your kids in the band...that's wrong...Iam proud of our band any any student in it.

I liked Coach Stewart...thought he was a good guy...sorry he left.  But as they say the show must go on.

LOL....I think I would be angry if I was swallowing defecated matter, (I will use that term instead, because this is a family program) I feel ya dawg. Sometimes it's not always happy times, but a new guy coming in, maybe better and positive relationships can be forged. For real I just want to see things get better...I have nothing aginst anyone. I was just trying to find a silver lining.

Are you kidding me, I assuming I am answering Coach Paul Colton. Just making conversation with the person who made a statement Ease up, Nobody said anything near that...You know God forbid anybody in Kountze try to find a positive in a situation.  Hey lets just keep on being negative and angry...it's great for our kids...it's great for our staff...Really is a good example of leadership! Sorry if my being positive offended anyone.
