The majority has spoken it is over and done. I'd love turf as much as the next person but there is a high initial cost and when other areas are in dire need of improvements how can one justify a million $$$$ turf for really only 5 nights a year? (I understand others may use the stadium but the reality is it is for those mere 5 nights.)

All I am going to say about it is whoever called Silsbee "cheaters" is an idiot. Was it a tough loss...yes. If Silsbee had the refs in their backpockets I'd imagine that supposed fumble into the endzone (odd not one ref was even in position to even see that play) would'nt have been called against the Tigers nor the long Castle td called back for a weak penalty at best. If Silsbee or the refs cheated, Kirbyville would have lost by 2 tds so get your facts straight. Irregardless of this game it was all coming down to Silsbee versus Jasper for the spot anyways.

Got to keep up with the Jones I guess. As much of a sportsfan as I am I just do not undersand the money schools are pouring into stadiums for a mere 5 varsity game a year average. Million dollar scoreboards, million dollars worth of turf......where does it end? The previous statement about growth was given to all of the area school superintendents a few weeks back at Region 5. The current trend is major growth on the I35 and I 45 corridors

Only 2 school districts in the Region 5 area are growing, Brookeland and Lumberton. This comes directly from Region 5.

If those are legit looks like WB and PAM will have some new company.

What is Wos' view of Silsbee and Jasper after the last two weeks?

You have to ask yourself, is it the coaches or students. How many years were the Lincolns and TJs loaded with talent? IMO everytime I seen one of them play the team was one of the most undisciplined. If an ironfist type of coach showed up I suspect the kids would quit.......maybe they have now.

I have to be bias......Silsbee v Kville will pretty much be for a playoff spot.

Kountze had ballooned up to 417 and as of yesterday were at 409.

......which brings up the question, who will be the new coach? I personally do not want Fran or Callahan.

With the new numbers due in a week where are the schools' current enrollments? Last I heard Silsbee was around 860. Kountze was at 411 about 3 weeks ago. I had heard WOS was in the 600s, that true?

Jasper, HF, and Silsbee all control their own destiny. After Friday's performance against WOS, Silsbee has the potential and should go into week 10 against Jasper with the last spot on the line.

This year KV and HF, the supposed small schools, have been doing very well in football and my understanding was this was a football only idea (?). In our area we just need smaller districts.

Those two areas should be addressed before any major changes are made. I'm getting the feeling it won't happen this realignment. Our area just needs two 3A districts instead of one super district.

My goodness you guys can be tough/critical. Could last night have been just a good squad you guys played against? WOS did exactly what HF did the week before to Silsbee. Silsbee's offense can be dangerous and quick to score unless you keep it off of the field. The best way to do that is nickel and dime your way down the field and burn the clock. If you guys feel it was merely WOS's play calling that kept the score low and not the opponent then you guys won't be going far this year. Personally I felt it was a good game with both sides ending drives at key points. The WOS offense was ran just like I would have ran it to win. It was obvious the coaching staff watched the HF video versus the BC or OF.

To be honest not really interested in either game. Not too much excitement but I'll go WB/PAM. On a side note why is there an actual option for mod input on this game but not on the small game? The small game was already up before the buses were even home. As much as there has been a rivalry between WOS/Jasper more is on the line in the Buna game.
