  1. Last I heard was possibly in Spring next Friday.
  2. Looking from the outside in, anyone close to football saw that there was going to be little drop off at wos regardless who was on the sideline. From a mystique standpoint the “mustang in your head” factor was put to rest for Silsbee in November 2018 during a thunderstorm in New Caney. Things cycle for most teams you guys just have not been used to it.
  3. San Augustine had some athletes. Figured they'd of advanced.
  4. For the record I was merely asking if the future “star” played that evening. I went and didn’t notice anyone that I’d think Newton would be hitching their wagon to as a freshman. I assumed the kid must have been out. In regards to the clock comment I just found it odd how the operation changed when Newton was down with under a minute to go. Shocked Kountze was even winning at that point to be honest. It was a middle school game so whatever.
  5. Was he playing in the Kountze 8th game? It took nfl quality time keepers in that last minute of the game to allow Newton the last second win.
  6. Lack of discipline. Discipline in the sense you execute the fundamentals. There have been many schools succeed not based on just talent but by eliminating mistakes. That starts at the top. Self discipline to want to work hard and better yourself to achieve your goals. A lot of kids nowadays (not just Beaumont) don’t want to work for it. Practice is boring they’d rather play video games. Can’t take tough coaching. Not knowing what’s in the hallways but I’d wager you have lots of talent that is just lethargic and not participating in any extra curricular. Discipline to fight through adversity. Apathy, it’s hard to get up and want to participate in what some perceive is a loser. Rather than striving to be the difference maker they just won’t participate. Once again not unique to Beaumont, but I’d bet this is common amongst many struggling teams. It is hard to get rid of a losing mindset. Bottom line is it falls on the coaches and community. You have to make the kids believe in program, believe in the goal, and believe in themselves.
  7. Better lower level but can’t rely on young kids against jr and srs.
  8. You’re not even done with this season. You’re going to make the playoffs. You have the talent to make some noise. You’re arguably the best team in Orange County. You’d think you were winless by some of your behaviors.
  9. 25-6. The record of the teams who beat you. Hard to be empathetic towards your program when you show such arrogance and disrespect towards those teams. With the exception of HF everyone of those teams has beat you on multiple occasions. In some instances your season was ended due to a loss to one of them. Most folks looking from the outside have seen a downward turn coming. Your enrollment has been dropping. Everyone of those teams who’ve beaten you have had some lean times, some upheaval with coaching changes. You’ve been lucky due to the longevity of your staffs. That’s over welcome to what everyone else has had to endure at some point. Time to suck it up, support your kids, support your coaches, and support your program.
  10. It’s easy enough to find. He has had some better. This isn’t the first time HF has played them tough. This definitely makes the Jasper game more interesting.
  11. This game could have easily been worse if not for some stupid Tiger penalties. No disrespect to the kids but this was the worst team I’ve ever witnessed from WOS. Is this just a young team? If it’s just youth I understand. This is the first Wos-Silsbee game where I’ve never really felt threatened by their offense.
  12. As a tiger fan I always want them to win. Also as a fan I always want rivals to lose every game. I’d be lying if I wanted it to change this week either. Looking at this week it wouldn’t shock me to see wos win. Honestly I expect them to......they have to ......or there is a huge chance everything unravels. It wouldn’t be the first time a talented team with high expectations hits some adversity and implodes. Happens in college every year. LSU, Auburn, UT, possibly A&M. Wos this is your rally time. You either continue bickering or you come together and support your entire team/coaches. If you don’t think these kids get things in their heads then by all means keep the negative going. You think losing to a few good teams is bad, just watch where you can help drive this.
  13. If that is recent, that is a solid 4 weeks behind where Silsbee's is. Honestly, based on timelines and weather considerations LCM may be very lucky by October.
  14. The Board signed off on phase 2, design stage, in Silsbee 2 weeks ago.
