Did HJ get outcoached or was it a fluke? Great job Silsbee coaches! WOW! Silsbee to Austin!

Some things are personal. I understand. Enough said. Good luck to Coach Williams and Coach Brooks and the Silsbee Tiger basketball team! However they are being coached is working! Props to the staff!

I attended the Spurger-Broaddus game but missed the Hull-Daisetta-Zavalla game which was the first game. Spurger had great fan support and the lovely ladies at the top seemed to be enjoying the loud bump music during timeouts especially when the song "Boots wit da fur" came on! Those ladies were git'n it! Heck, at halftime they even played a little Johnny Cash Folsom Prison Blues.

Why would it be for Williams and not Sutherland? Sutherland was 2 and 1 against the Tiggers! Sutherland beat Coach Brooks and Coach Williams squad handily last Saturday night.

A silsbee person said that Brooks did most of the coaching this year in a previous post. So I have questions: Why did Brooks did most of coaching this year? Why is that? This seems to be the million dollar question. The playoff game I saw when HJ dominated Silsbee after halftime at Lamar I ONLY saw Brooks coaching his butt off the entire game. Coach Williams may have been delegating authority from the chair he was sitting in. But it seemed Brooks was running the show from my point of view. Which is fine if that's the way they win games. Whatever works they say. So did this go on all season? What is up with this situation? Why is it such a TOP SECRET?

This is true. There is a very good reason why Coach Brooks ( assistant ) has been doing alot of the " coaching " during games of late and not Travis. I too will not post the reason here on this messageboard, but rest assure, Travis Williams is the head coach. Wow, I just made a small observation during my first basketball game of the year and it has seemed to open a small can of worms. I've now read "legitimate reason" and "a very good reason" why the assistant was taking control. If it's a legitimate or very good reason and you don't want to share it, I wonder what it is? Hopefully it's not a health issue. My high school BB coach had to retire from coaching because of a health issue because of the stress. Anyway, go Tigers and Coach Williams and staff.

Obviously the HC at Silsbee does a great job. That goes without saying. I just didn't know that he allowed his assistant to call the shots on game night. I enjoyed watching the assistant coach his butt off the other night. Props to the head coach for allowing it. Part of being a good HC is deligating responsibility. Anyway, I hope Silsbee goes far in the playoffs! Good luck to Orangefield and HJ also!

Who is Travis? Look, I don't even know any of these coaches names, except for H-J's only because I remember him from Kountz. Look I saw my first game the other night. I saw a Silsbee coach coaching his butt off the whole game. I made a comment about it to my friend. And then Silsbee fan told me, "You know he's the assistant coach." Sorry to offend. I will edit my post.

Head Coach From Hardin Jefferson Head Coach From Orangefield Head Coach From Silsbee Hardin Jeff's Coach is always deserving, he does a great job every year! But I will take Orangefield's Coach as doing the best overall job this season.

LOL he is not 19 he is just seventeen and he is a just a sophomore and hew will be back next year. That puts an end to that rumor! DB is a stud!

What? 19? Are you sure? If he's a sophomore like someone else said then how will he be able to play next year? Surely he's not 19. Regardless, I'm wouldn't ever knock him how ever old he is. He is a fantastic player in football and basketball!
