There all good but I still have PNG-G at the top. I cant wait to see it all shake out in the playoffs...If you want to be technical why dont you power rank the teams like baseball. PNG-G and Ned B have had the easiest schedules out of all these teams. Its hard to judge until they play one another.

Png-g is the only team that has had an easy road. They have only played PA and you seen the score 15-12. So im not so sure about them being at the top.
You guys are the ones at the top...Png-G is good though.  Don't underestimate.
So are Lum R, Lum W, Ned B, & Wos. Im predicting that Png G will lose to Wos or Lum R. Those are tough back 2 back games...
Those are pretty strong claims...Png G might have something to say about that.  I honestly hope nobody goes undefeated, but I really think Bmt G and Png G will win out in the regular season.  We'll see...

Yes, Ned kids who were drinking or had been and got caught (even if was due to further stupidity of posting it) and the extention of those action as to how others attending the same party (and others) were NOT so lucky.

Several has stated that had the OF kids been there kids...then heads would roll....etc etc etc.

So..had the Ned kids fallen, and been killed would that change the blame from kids being kids to HANG the home owner.

The point is everyone wants to take one road if it seems "innocent enough" no one got hurt, its kids being kids......but had those kids died or killed someone else....then crucify someone else because its their fault.

As stated, as young as 14 you can be accountable as an adult.

Just answer this question (this is to anyone, and everyone) if these were your kids....would you treat the situation differently as it happened than you would had they been killed, or killed someone else, maybe even killed your kid while driving on their way to the school.

    Why and/or why not?
What doe "Why and/or why not?" mean.  Also, please explain the question more clearly.  It is hard to understand.  If I understand it right, then it is an insanely stupid question.  Please clarify.

Not only do they have speed, those guys are physical and dont mind laying the wood. I know there's a rumor that they can't hit, and they don't like to get hit. I think they've proven some folks wrong over the past few weeks!!
With all due respect Dawgsof gold, both of the Lumberton teams out hit the BMT G team (not by much) in my opinion; however, you guys have a very well coached greasy lightning fast team with some hosses on it.  Lum W can hit, but they can't hit what they can't catch.  Good luck to you and your athletes.
Both Lumberton teams out hit Bmt G is too funny. I think Lum R coaches and players will say otherwise.
Bmt G hits real good and they are fast, but they do not out hit Lum R or Lum W.  I am not saying it is a landslide, but I have seen all 3 play in several games and I would have to rank 1. Lum R 2. Lum W 3. Bmt G in that 3 way match up.  No disrespect intended, believe me.  You guys will beat Lum W...I am sure of it.  You've got some decent hitters and crazy speed.  I like watching your boys play.
Lum R #1. Obviously you didn't watch the game between the 2. Bmt G punished their backs. Oh, and they tackled our backs 1 time. The other 6 plays went for 60yd+ touchdowns. We only ran 7 total plays. Don't get that confused with 7 possessions. They did however tackle us on a few 2pt conversions and kickoffs. The score was actually 47-19. 41-13 after 3. 47-13 early in the 4th. Bmt had to put some offensive players on D just so players could get their plays.
Yes, I watched the game.  I did not say your boys couln't tackle.  I said Lum R hits harder.  Their QB / LB had the hardest hit of the game.  I don't think punished is the right word.  You tackled their backs more times than they tackled your backs...which reverts back to what I said.  You can't tackle what you can't catch.  Your two best hitters are not slouches, but from the times I've seen all 3 play, I stand by my claims.

I was not referring to the OF kids being killed.  There is no comparing the kids doing whatever on top of the doggie dome to the OF kids being killed at 3AM in a car crash.I know as a parent I have never and will never supply alcohol to minors.  There are too many things that could happen and I do not want their blood on my hands.  I also know that if someone supplied alcohol to my child and something happened I would do everything in my power to have them prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Maybe not a comparison, but there is apparently a connection. Per at least one poster, they attended the same party. Ned kids were obviosly luckier than the OF kids....seems they did drive from PN to Ned to pull their silly kid stunt.

Besides I didnt say you did "compare" them. I was just stating perhaps WHY some are still talking about it.

All I did was mention those who "paid" their debt, for their mistakes, being with their life or missing activities. BUT, there is no mention to the consequences of the adult AND that following not one but two DUI arrest, LU brings them to our home area (not to mention the boastful article by the BE, as giving second chances)..just saying, Id bet a whole lot that the parents of the OF kids WISH they had a second chance.
Totally understand but from what I have heard the kids from OF went to a couple of different parties after they left he one in PN (again not taking up for the parents where this party took place).  If I remember correctly they were at one that was in Mauricville.  Not that it matter because because no amount of second guessing will bring those boys back.  I am also positive there are parties going on in every community in America every Friday and Saturday night where alcohol is served to minors.  I don't agree with and all I can do is teach my kids right from wrong and hopefully it sinks in and they remember.

I haven't read the BE paper in years so I can't comment on an article that I haven't read.  But in no way shape or form should drinking/ drinking and driving be glammerized.
That is definately a great start, but there is always more.

Whereas on the extreme measure, people who are charged with felony crimes will pay their debt to society, however, they lose certain privleges in addition to that...voting, gun ownership...etc and some argue those are rights under the constitution. But when you cross certain lines, you lose those rights.

If not only parents teaching kids, but law enforcement, coaches, and school admin would simply state, if you are involved in certain levels of crimes (or mischief as some call it) that even "potentialy" hurt another person, then your extraciricular priveleges are revoked. (selling of drugs, DUI, DWI, assault etc)

Problem, as on the LU thread, it is more important to WIN at all cost and continue to allow some to break laws and endanger others than to make this highly contrivercial stand.
When you have paid your debt to society, then (generally speaking) your privileges are reinstated.  If these young athletes did the wrong thing and got themselves in trouble, then they should be punished.  BUT...when the punishment has been fulfilled, they should be able to return to normal activities (including College football).  Get off of your high horse and quit making idiotic comments that have not been thought out just because you have a "beef" with what many, many, many colleges do regarding "second chance" players.  The Lamar staff never said it is more important to WIN at ALL COST, nor have they portrayed that stance with their actions.  You are exaggerating to make a point.  If you don't like the choices they have made, simply state that.  Otherwise, don't crucify someone for the rest of their life when their debt has been paid.  Let us all thank God that he forgives those of us that ask for it, and that we are not condemned forever (except maybe in your mind) to damnation for our indiscretions and wrongdoings.  Wasn't this thread about Nederland kids, anyway?

And at 18 they are adults - stop hiding behind they are children, does something really dumb they will be tried as adults.
Sorry but all of my children turned/will turn 18 at he beginning of their Senior year.  Legally they are an adult but mentally they are still a teenager who still has lots to learn.

I still can't believe we are still talking about this after all this time.  The kids made a mistake and were punished for it, let it be.
This is something we need to talk about every day maam. Sorry my kids are not 18 till the start of their senior year??? What does that have to do with anything?? Mine were 17 when they graduated, but they were taught that they have to be ready to accept the consequences for their mistakes and at some point that would be as adults. We did not and will never hide behind this banal kids making mistakes. Geezus criminy - are we seeing why we have a problem? This is not a nederland, PNG or Friendswood issue - this is a big time society issue and for some one to get tired of talking about it tells me alot.
Where in my posts did I say that they should take responsibility for what they did?  I do and have taught my children even my youngest one who is in elementary school that there are consequences to your actions.  Apparently those kids who got caught accepted their consequences.  What I have a problem with is everyone is still talking about it and beating a dead horse so to speak.

Anything can happen but I don't see Orangefield beating the Tigers. The Bobcats have a good team and I  think that they could be a playoff team if they can beat Bridge City. Silsbee will be well prepared coming off a bye week. Silsbee is suspect early in games on their run defense. That will be one area that the Bobcats can attack early but Silsbee will make adjustments.
Very good synopsis. I can't see Silsbee giving this one up.

Two undefeated teams in Conference 1:
    Bmt G
    Lum W

One undefeated team in Conference 2
    Png G

Bmt G & Lum W still have to play each other (last game of season) with no real tests for either of them until then

Png G still has to play a 4-2 Lum R team who has losses to WOS (6 to 0) and Bmt G (47 to 19)

I think Bmt G wins out and Png G wins out... What are your thoughts, guys?

Just like it will be for Silbee after the first or second round of the playoff's. I can hear it now, atleast we make it. That is true but the tigers have talent year in and year out but yet they fizzle in the palyoffs every year.

Tell you what, I'll take odds on BMT-G over Lum-W any day of the week.  Got to see them play already and it ain't nice...  Lum W (a very good team) does not have the tools to handle this 1st class team.  Oh, and they are coached pretty well too

What part don't you understand? I think as misguided as it might be the point was clear. Guess we'll see in a couple of weeks.
I don't understand the "Don't have the tools" comment. What "Tools" that Lum-W don't have to handle Bmt-G?
To quote our friend from Nederland, "Speed kills"...that's the tools I am speaking of (3, 9, 11 & one more...couldn't see his number cuz he was running too fast!).  Also, looking at stats, you guys played a very good, but not 1st seed quality Ned B team.  Both you guys had key injuries according to these boards, yet you beat them by only 1 point.  Ask Ned B what they think your chances are against BMT G.  Lum W is a 1st class team, there is no doubt.  But I would be willing to wager on BMT G over Lum W any day of the week.  Does that make it more clear?
CF REALLY easiest Ned B has played bmt and Lum-w How is that easy (NOT!) and PN-G beat PA which can clobber any team they face. None of the teams across the board have had a tough or easy schedule. Anybody can lose to anybody it all depends on who comes with their boys that are ready to play. For Example: Lum. white will line up and be ready to play BMT (OCHO) What do u do with power rankings if Lum.WINS by one Point! :o :o
No need to wait for PNG G to play NED B.  PNG G will win.  BMT G will beat LUM W hands down.  PNG G & BMT G ARE the 2 best teams by far.  Unless injury bites one of these 2 in the butt, then that will be your Superbowl.

Well, I don't think I can pick a score, or a winner, too many things to pan out this week at practice! Lumberton needs Pace back badly, he's our speed and big play guy, lots of situations during his time out have called for outside and corner making speed, and its hurt not having him. Our boys will break out of this 'slump' they have lots of heart, but certainly need to taste victory. I played for 3 of the awful years Johhny the joke Fuller was our AD, we didn't win once in 05n it was terrible. This town and its fanbase has come too far to let those days return! Show up Friday night Raider faithful, show up for the boys that are still taking the field every Fri night. The homecoming crowd was disappointing, after having 10,000 the last 3 yrs in a row. Players notice these things, and they know they are being compared to previously more sucessful teams. SHOW UP, we have to support! Let's create a home game atmosphere for once in this fair weather town ;)

With Pace out and little or no chance of coming back, they're going to have to figure something out...

I think my post has been misunderstood. I know kids at PN-G drink just like every other school. I just feel the whole it's just kids being kids and let's giggle about it and move on is the wrong approach by some.

Which goes to Dawgnut's point,  the parents or the police need to handle it, not the school district.

    Our Raiders have a little something in store for them Vidor boys  ;) . Look for L-town to totally dominate Vidor and show them what a real running game is about . Maybe next year girlz , NOT ! ! ! !    :-*  :-*  :-*  :-*  :-*  :-*  :-*  :-*  :-*  :-*

I don't think either team will "dominate" the other team.  I believe there will be a lot of frustration on both sides and I look for the game to be pretty evenly matched and for both teams to answer each other.  Is it Friday yet?

Sorry partner, but your two cents won't be worth anything after the Raiders edge out Vidor 21 to 20.

I think Vidor AND Lumberton folks are too scared to say anything...gonna be a good one.  My brain says to go with Vidor, but I have to give Lumberton my vote.  These boys gotta be wanting it pretty bad!
