Oh I thought you were a Splendora fan.

I don't know why you thought that. I just give objective observations. If I misled you to think I was a Splendora fan, it must be because I thought they were the better team in whatever post you read.

    I like football!

Just depends on our offense. If comes out and we are dropping balls it won’t be good.

True, but from what I've seen, both teams have equal strengths but in different areas. Both teams came out of the gate a little slow, but have gathered momentum along the way. Playing at home gives LC-M a slight advantage, but considering the weather and Lumberton with a good ground game, the needle shifts back to center. I hope for a good & safe final regular season game for both group of boys. Still trying which game to pick to go see this week...

Friend I do not believe that will happen today, Independents are riding with the Democrats this election. However I always split my vote. I did not vote for Cruz even though he may win, because he did not stick up for his family against Trump. In fact he is so far up Trump's arse that when comes out for air he has the same smile as Trump. Bad so Sad.

I agree - many of the independents will vote with the democrats not independent - I was just replying in answer to your comment of, "Vote Independent" wherein I said, "Not!..."

As in Roll...….Tide Alabama!  Red vs blue, donkey vs. elephant, gang members crips and bloods. Vote Independent!

NOT! Lol...  The only good thing about an independent is it generally pulls away from the Blue vote which, in this day and age, is good.

Seems to me every school shooting and mass shooting is the Usa have been done by white men. Explain!

Sir, your assumption is not correct.

    Please note:

These stats are from 1982 to Sept 2018:

Number of Mass Shootings (not number of victims)

    White 59 or 56.7%, Black 17 or 16.3%, Latino 9 or 8.7%, Asian 8 or 7.7%, Native American 3 or 2.9 %, "Other" 5 or 4.8 % and Unknown 3 or 2.9%

While the vast majority of mass shootings are perpetrated by whites (usually males), that demographic does not account for all of them (see above). Also notable is that mental health condition rather than race, sex or socio-economic background is thought to be the reason for the shootings.

Another interesting note: In plain ole everyday murders, 89% of all black victims were killed by a black perpetrator; therefore, by your logic sir, blacks are not only racist against their own race, but a greater source of evil against blacks.

Before everyone gets in a panic, I don't believe that for a minute. I'm just trying to point out BADSANTA's flawed process of deductive reasoning.

Wrong again. Players didn’t execute in the first half. Here’s a list of mistakes only in the first half that took potential points off the board- a high snap on our first drive when we had moved the ball all the way down to the 30 yard line, a missed field goal following that bad break, another high snap on our third drive after we had scored a td the drive before and it killed our drive again, and a costly 10 yard sack taken by our young qb. So did the coaches not gameplan right, or did the players just simply not execute?

And btw, I’m not making excuses for the loss, I’m just trying to show everybody that the gameplan was fine. The 24-7 deficit we faced was NOT becuase of poor coaching.

What you say is true to an extent. All those things happened. I also saw Lumberton continuously trying to run a dive up the middle which got stuffed 4 or 5 times. If it doesn't work, you can't keep force feeding it hoping the defense is going to eventually swallow. From my perspective, the coaches did a fair job in the first half. Not a great or even good job, but fair. I was really impressed with the young Lumberton QB's improvement from the start of the season to now. I hope the coach has him throwing 50 or more passes in each practice. In my opinion, that more than anything is what would make Lumberton a better team. I haven't seen all of their games, but I have seen some. They need some balance. They need to pass. He actually completed some which is an improvement over the last time I watched them play. Until that happens (and I believe it will), Lumberton will not be complete. Another kick in the butt for them is that they have something like 30 seniors! Lots of holes to fill next year...

Splendora deserved to win based on several factors: good D line, good scheme (although they should learn how to throw the ball too), pretty good coaching and the poor 1st half of play by Lumberton. It was Splendora's game to lose from the start.

Didn't know that coaching staff didn't have a part in there own team's loss.  Interesting.  But we're all entitled to our opinions.  I know this.  In the 1st half of both the Huffman game and the Splendora game, team was not prepared.  And it showed.

Maybe some clarity is required. How are you not prepared in the 1st half but then become prepared in the second half with no additional time to prep?

Do you mean to say that the coaches had a poor game plan for the 1st halves of those 2 games, but then adjusted well in the 2nd halves of those 2 games (if so, I agree), or do you have a different message. Just not clear on this one...

We move the ball inside the 30 on our first drive of the game, have a bad snap and lose 10 yards. Miss a 40+ yard field that was a beautiful kick just a little to the left... not Babin’s fault.

Score on second drive, third drive we’re moving again, have another bad snap that killed the drive... not Babin’s fault.

if I’m correct our fourth drive of the game our qb runs backwards and takes a huge 10 yard sack. Kills the drive.... not Babin’s fault.

The same thing happened in the 3rd quarter, another costly sack.

We make a big comeback, and get an extra point blocked. So now we’re down 4 point instead of 3 (with a competent field goal kicker who almost nailed one from 40.)... once again, not Babin’s fault.

we stop Splendora 3 and out, have a sack at the 10 yard line making it 4th and 30, BUT we have a face mask called which gives them a automatic 1st down. I don’t fault the player on that one, he was kinda out of control and was lucky to even get his hands on the qb in open field like that. Just got unlucky on where his hand ended up. Anyway, we stop them again but now instead of them punting from their goal line they are closer to midfield.... that resulted in a big swing in field position. Babin calls the right plays to get us to the red zone with ease. We run two plays in a row for a loss of about 5-10 yards. Can’t kick a field goal and couldn’t overcome the 3rd/4th and long for a td.... not Babin’s fault.

Then our defense forces a fumble and gives us new life inside a minute left. I’m not gonna say anything about the last drive because our young sophomore qb made a mistake, but he will learn from it. That kid ran his butt off all game and made a few good throws and shouldn’t be hanging his head.... but you get the idea, what happened on the final drive was not Babin or poor play calling.

Thats my summary of the game for people who weren’t there or who wanna bash Coach Babin (cue Coach 23). The truth is, our team once again had a bad first half. We beat them in the second half 13-7, just wasn’t enough to overcome our poor first half performance. Splendora scored zero points after their first drive of the third quarter. That’s the kind of defense that myself and many others were bragging about all week, just didn’t see it till it was too late... actually, that last statement was wrong. It wasn’t too late because we had two chances to win at the end.

So, on to LCM, we’ll have to “settle” for second place. But if you wanna come on here and call out Babin then maybe we were at different games. Because from what I saw he stuck to his gameplan, trusted his system, and had us in a position to win. Between the first drive and last two drives and blocked extra point, we left at the very least 13 points off the board considering we get a field goal on those three drives and not tds. In a four point loss that is huge. Now, tell me how they was Coach Babin’s fault?

    Rant over. Onto LCM....

Lumberton’s game plan needs to be better from the get go. Adjustments in 2nd half have been real good, but 1st half against Huffman and Splendora has them having to come back from 24-7 in both games. They need to come out of the gates at full tilt and not playing catch up.
