  1. png along with Crosby were everyone's pre-season pick to win this district, so the argument can be made that they should be the favorites...they lost 2 games without Roschon and a crazy forfeit...put it this way, if Roschon doesn't play, then I will buy the "Nederland is favored" routine, but if he is in the game, png SHOULD win...the fact that Nederland has beaten them once already in his 3 years has to be disappointing for png...to have a once in a generation talent and still not be able to get over on Nederland has to hurt...if they lose 2/3, well, the sting will just be that much greater.

Consider this a toss up!  I happen to think the Dogs will find a way to pull this out in a high scoring affair...Roschon will get his and be a handful...the kid is simply too talented not to despite the fact that Nederland's D has been really good this year...game plan here will be to wear him down over the course of the game with physical play...he needs to leave this game tired!!!!  As it did last year, it may come down to who has the ball last and who manages the game better, so advantage Nederland there in my book.

  2. Nothing better than this one being for all the marbles...png will have the best player on the field, Nederland will have better all around talent...Nederland has also had png's number over the past 20-25 years as well, for the most part; Nederland has won 18 of the past 25 and 8 of the last 10; I cannot wait, hope the weather holds up and both teams are as healthy as they can be;  Dogs have been better than most thought at the beginning of the season and will be highly motivated to finish this up.

I'll save my prediction for later in the week.

  3. Nederland coaches know better than to look past Crosby...still a lot of talent there...get on em quick dogs and keep their negative mojo going!  Don’t let them build anything positive...if Crosby does, they can be dangerous...too much at stake for this team to look past Crosby

crosby is down...we need to go ahead and knock them out...won’t be easy

  4. The Cleveland starting pitching scares me a bit...they are very good, but like has been said here before, the 'Stros are the champs until someone knocks them off...I don't thing Cleveland is that team so 'Stros in 4.

Regarding Morton, I fear that he isn't 100% yet, thus the Kuechel start...plus Keuchel has pitched well down the stretch, represents a definite different look form the hard throwing Verlander and Cole, and he's a lefty...hopefully CFM can give us some innings out of the pen if need be, just hope he's healthy

  5. I'm a big Cowboy fan, but remember what I said about playing a little better at home...back on the road this weekend...I would love to be optimistic, but the 'Boys will have to prove me wrong.

I just unfortunately see a very up and down season, filled mostly with somewhat decent efforts at home and a few abominations on the road...it all adds up to about an 8-8 or 9-7 type record...again, sure hope I am wrong, but that's what I see

  6. well, poor teams do tend to perform somewhat better at home and I would classify Dallas as a poor team at this point, at least offensively...they may not win, but I do expect them to perform at least marginally better which may be good enough to beat Detroit

In short, I don't expect Dallas to win many road games this year...at present time, they simply aren't good enough

  7. they are getting really hard to watch on the offensive side of the ball...this "great" o-line has been pretty much garbage so far this season, especially in pass protection...I initially want to say that dak isn't cutting it either, but it's pretty hard to evaluate a guy who is throwing with guys in his face and at his feet on almost every drop back

I have supported Garrett in the past, but he and Linehan have had plenty of time to work with this offense and frankly, I am not impressed...time for change and I think sooner rather than later...personally I am ready for Kris Richard to take the helm but that would require getting an offensive guy to take over that side of the ball...at least I think Richard brings the fire that this team needs and if guys won't play for him, they need to hit the road

Diehard fan here, but this is getting very tiresome

  8. Agreeing with my buddy, Soulja, on this...he may get nervous...lol.

I am willing to bet that Coach T and even the aforementioned Nick Saban, would not be in favor of parades for 2nd place teams; the accomplishment is still significant to say the least and this community should be proud of the team, no doubt, but a parade is a bit much; save that for championships, please!

  9. And no doubt, Roschon is an absolute stud...kid is a special talent and played his heart out...Dogs just had the ball last and Monte had the guts to go for 2 with a great play design...kids executed it and the rest is history...dogs going for 2 actually is a hat tip to Roschon...didn’t want to give him the ball back
