The offensive juggernaut Liberty exploded for one 25 yard TD drive last night against a decent team you scored on 4 or 5 times. Buddy of mine said you guys looked good this week and also told me Cleveland and splendora both look to be improved. Sounds like the race for 3rd is on. [/quote Yeah, I bet Huffman, Cleveland, and Splendora do have themselves a nice little fight for third this year.
 2.
only thing they got is that QB and Gilbert. Coldspring wont even be in the top 10 by season's end IMO
Let's hope that is true.
 3.
Did you say Liberty would kill Hardin last year? I was just wondering as that statement was no indication of the outcome from a year ago. A 30 point beatdown, awaited the Panthers before they even saw it coming. Do I believe Hardin will win, by that much this year? No, I believe it will be much closer. Liberty may even win, but it will not be in "kill" fashion.
I will agree that last year everyone in Liberty Texas was predicting a victory for the Panthers, I personally felt it would be a 1 or 2 score win, however last year I did not watch both of Hardin and both of Liberty's scrimmages, but this year I did, and I firmly believe the Panthers will win this game by 3 touchdowns or even more if they are in shape enough to do so.
no doubt.
you two clowns have not won anthing and had your arces beat like a drum over the last several years and running your gums. hmm okkkkkkkk
These Huffman randoms are the ones running there gums were just supporting our team, and have been supporting when we beat Huffman the year before last, when we lost to Huffman last year and we have continued to support this year, and you're crying about that? Huffman fans just don't like to hear that they won't be as good as last year.
 5.
a two a school beating down on the mighty panthers ha ha hwo funny? your boy deal really racking up the two ones huh? GO HARDIN
Easily the most uneducated comment I have ever read. Deel will have his men in line for this match up, Panthers by 3 touchdowns.

 7.
Stafford= not very good Coldspring= alot better than stafford Good luck
Coldspring= Week 10 Stafford = scrimmage you= not very smart
 8.
I saw 5-1 including the call backs for Stafford.... I'm sure someone has the SETX Sophomore of the Years stats?
He looked a lot better than any of your receivers considering he played Stafford and not Hull-Daisetta, I believe he put a sweep play in the endzone had a few rushes for decent yards and a couple of catches but it's okay tough guy you yourself will have his stats written in your mind when Hardin steps on the field against Liberty here in about 6 days.
 9.
true true.. ok so in scripted plays liberty looked awful.. screen killed em.. as far as the score for that believe the 1st team scored once or twice an the 2nd team scored.. equaled to 3.. they then played to 15 min. running clock quarter in which liberty looked like a totally different team.. omar tebo had a pick 6.. he's a dt.. go figure.. jordan jones scored on a 3 yard jet sweep.. stafford running back scored on a nice long run.. he looks dang good. kinda boring. lots of flags.. lots of big plays called back both ways.. ending score was a 1-1 tie.. for some reason after the pick 6 they had liberty start at the opponents 30 so i'm guessing they didn't wanna count pick 6's.. if you count em it was 2-1 liberty in "live action"
They blew it dead and let the O start where the INT happened, it's part of the initial rules the 2 teams agreed on I am assuming. And you're right Liberty looked like a different team in the live quarter, they were moving the ball through the air and on the ground, they couldn't tackle very well though.

he's a junior this year, heck I don't know, I think he cut 5 10th's off is 40 time, don't care about last year.  Maybe cuz he played same positions as Salenga and Sonnier?  I'm talking about this year, just watch.
So your saying he went from 5.0 speed to 4.5?  ::)
He went from low 4.6 to low to mid 4.4.
So you're telling me this kid has better speed than Anquan Boldin, A.J. Green, Larry Fitzgerald, Donald Driver, Brad Smith, Brandon Marshall, Dwayne Bowe and many other NFL wide receivers? Give me a break. Do people realize how fast 4.4 speed is? Give me a break with all these stopwatch times of 4.4.
Agreed, tired of all these people saying there kids ran a 4.4 but no one has ever heard of them, It is possible of course, but if you run a 4.4 while in high school then we would know your name because your stats would be recognizable, only person I hear at least in 22-3A that they say runs a 4.4 is Sherman Gilbert RB Coldspring who rushed for 2000 yards and 20 touchdowns missing 4 games and playing for a state championship and I still can't say he runs a legit 4.4 because I've seen him beat on the track against guys running high 4.5's so you never know.
 12. I want to hear from WOS, Silsbee and BC fans, how will this district pan out? Is WOS the easy favorite to win it or will Silsbee and the other teams be able to give them a run?
 13.

My statement "I have not seen FOOTBALL played in Hardin" simply means, I have not seen a 3 dimensional Hardin team since 2000-2002. Which would be the last time Hardin had teams where they played Offense, Defense and Special teams and were extremely successful at all three of those aspects of the game. Has Hardin has good defenses and offenses since? Yes. But not at the same time, on one team. Pay attention to Hardin football better, or do not comment on this thread if you aren't familiar with the history of the program.
Hardin had size and talent back then but skill players were being played out of position.  Dont think they were any better or worse than the 2007/2008 team.  Depth is always a problem and Hardin was not 3 dimensional in 2000-2002, they were good and if they hadn't blown a lead over Garrison they would most likely won a state championship that year.  Garrison went on to blow everybody else out.  Harrison Gray sat on the sidelines when he should have seen some time on defense as a safety or linebacker too much talent to waste.  If Larry Haynes had that team who knows what numbers they could have put up with those skill kids.
No offense... but YALL are talking about Hardin winning playoff games and having awesome athletes. lol. H-D has had hundreds of awesome athletes that could have played for Eastern Dakota St. or where ever Stelly plays. Truth of the matter is, if you make good grades and are a serious worker in the weight room, you can play college football. Maybe not D-1, but you can play at an Eastern Alaska St. There just is not that many of those kids out there, Stelly is one.
Being from neither town I can agree on the fact that if you try hard enough and make good grades anyone can play college ball, but not anyone can receive the honors Stelly has received at the next level, you can't say oh well " so and so from HD was better so if he wanted to he could be on the Miami Dolphins watch list" No. You can't discredit Stelly just because HD had 100's of athletes too.
 14. Jordan Jones. Liberty, he had a 40+ yard TD in their first scrimmage last Saturday.
 15.
Some reports say that John Stelly is being watched by several NFL teams. Any truth to that?
I see the guy in Liberty at the gym quite often, he's massive and in good shape, and I he is playing college ball somewhere but I'm not exactly sure where.
 16. Surely someone went to this scrimmage? Liberty scrimmages Stafford this week it would be nice to know how Huffman did against them.
 17.
Where I said, other than that year ( was suppose to read: other than those two years in referrence to 2007, 2008 football seasons. That is Myles soph. year with Mitch Villimez. Lost to New Waverly in a playoff game held in Humble if I remember correctly. Its hard to compare some of these teams as of late though with the talent that I witnessed up close and personal from 2000-2003. That was the real deal. Maybe some of you remember those years, I had never seen anything like it prior, and have not since. Not even close!!!
Ya Snook, Hunter, Nolan, Mitch, Stelley them boys was some dogs, I think Taylor, James, and Hall get thrown into that category but as a team last years has nothing on those previous years you mentioned, just to think if some of those skill guys would have moved to Liberty how good we could have been, Hardin always lacked depth, and a strong defense Liberty had the depth on D most of those years just not very many skill guys.
 18.
their hating now, but when lib and cs are representing 22-3a in the playoffs i'm sure they'll be hoping on the band wagon, i mean supporting..
no doubt.
check da post from last year we we're def. here.. foh i can tell from your post just how intelligent you're not..
I just searched and read a post from week 7 where someone mentioned Liberty being 2-1 in district and talking about playoff chances, people hopped on it real quick with the usual (you lost to Huntington you won't be good and you won't make the playoffs) lol.
 20.
Liberty will have no trouble beating Hardin, and Kelly this year. This coming from an X-Hornet. The Hornets have fell off the map since the 2000-2003 run, combined with the talent displayed in 2007-2008 with Nolan, Marsh and company. Other than that year, I have not seen FOOTBALL played in Hardin in nearly 10 years. No sign of things turning around in the near future either. P.S. Have been watching Hornets football for 30 years.
As far as wins go I would agree, but there was no doubt last year that Myles Taylor, D.J Hall and Marquis James could play some ball. I hear Taylor is looking to walk on at SFA he is undersized but a deadly dual threat quarterback and Hall and James were nothing short of Division 1 athletes.

The bulldogs looked really good on both sides of the football minus the blown coverage at the beginning of the game. I think Kelly will be decent this year. Contests to the new coach he looks like he is doing a heck of a job
No doubt Kelly dominated Hardin, but the 15 minute live quarter was played I sat there and watched it, and as for the person who said Will Darling was 12/12 he wasn't. I dont know his exact numbers but I watched many of those balls hit the ground and some bounce of the WR hands and if it was anybody elses secondary out there he would of thrown numerous interceptions, Hardin was weak it was like watching 1st team Offesne play against JV so don't praise Kelly too much.
Clearly you were watching a different game than was being filmed. I personally have watched the scrimmage film several times, and Will did not have a single incomplete pass. How about you get your facts straight before making ignorant comments. Thank you
Haha maybe it was the backup that was throwing terrible passes?, but Schrapps makes that kid look good he's no Tom Brady.
Nope, the backup was 3/3. Yes, the throws were not great... but the receivers for Kelly were able to make plays on the ball. The long touchdown schnapps caught, he out jumped a kid who was just as tall as he was. This kid was also Hardin's best player. Great receivers make good quarterbacks, just like great linemen make good running backs. Thats why they call it a team sport. Look for Kelly to do big things this season.
I look for another good game this year when Liberty travels to Kelly's home field.
 22.

Hardin isn't that young, they only have a couple sophomores on the team. I think it seems like it because some of the young men that graduated last year have played skill positions the last couple years. I was at the Kelly Scrimmage and kelly looked good, we did not. Taylor is a good q/b , we got some talent at the wide out positions and Ogden is a good RB whenever they run it. Haynes Offense is going to score, well see about the defense.   But make no mistake about it if was a H-D vs Kelly Scrimmage the Bobcats wouldn't have faired any better. Hornets get the best of this one.
Being from neither HD, Hardin, or Kelly and having 2 of the 3 schools on our schedule, I saw this scrimmage and I think your giving Kelly too much praise and not taking enough away from Hardin. Kelly did not look all that great, the qb was throwing terrible passes but Hardin's secondary simply couldn't make a play, and Kelly's o-line was fairly small but the backs were able to make the defense miss, If the Bobcats can hit, I say they fair better against Kelly because besides the interior linebacker and running back position Kelly looked weak as well, it was just the fact that Hardin looked weaker, remember Kelly is a team who was winless in district last year.
That is correct.  The same Kelly team that went winless in their district last year, beat our district champs EC like a drum by three touchdowns. If you have both of us on your schedule, i'm guessing your from Liberty and if that's the case, then I hope y'all do better this year against them than last year.  Their district is like ours, tough every year ST. Pius, ST.Thomas.  But your write our defense looked bad and is going to need some major improvement real fast. I think Kelly will be quality team this year though, they have alot of seniors and the big receiver. Their QB did underthrow some balls that should have been picked. Were still talking about the first Scrimmage for both teams though. The Hornets our my team and i'm not ready to throw them under the bus after our first Scrimmage  8)
Good post, your right it was the very first time both teams took the field and there is a lot of improvement that will be made before week 1. And Kelly was up 20-0 on Liberty at the half but then Liberty came back out firing on all cylinders but when time ran out they were short 1 score, it was a pretty good game.
