Really could  give a rats poop what the score was last year. That was my prediction and I dont recall yours???????
Since the title of this thread is 22-3A passing and not Huffman vs Kpark ill get back to the subject, after seeing Townley finally, I'm glad to say I'm done having to believe that he has a "pro" arm, the kid has good footwork, and a lot of throw power, but he is not very accurate, and misses open receivers quite frequently, a little indecisive as well, he was passing up receivers, and those plays were resulting in sacks. Porter's quarterback, [who is verbally committed to Illinois ] is way better than Townley, unless he just had a bad game or something. Porter's quarterback was a better runner by far, had the same throw power and was a lot more accurate, his line was a little better than Huffman's i'll give him that.
Ok 6 I give you that we lost last night and to a good team BUT you coming on here ripping on a seventeen year old kid is CS. I dont recall any of us talking BS over the last couple of years when your team struggled. Preston will be ok and so will our team but 6 do us a favor and keep your gap shut about our kids.
You mad bro? ;D I'm sure this is a thread about 22-3a passing and 6 talked about towley's qb skills then compared them to porter's qb... I dont see anything wrong with that post. There are people on here saying teams and players suck though but you have a problem with 6's post...?  ???
and I understand you guys didn't dog liberty when they were bad but we weren't talking about getting 1st or 2nd in district when we struggled but you guys are, not that huffman has no chance that's not what I'm saying at all its just liberty knew they had no chance the past few years so no one dogged us just like you won't here liberty or huffman dog tarkington but all of this criticism comes from the simple arguement of who is better out of liberty and huffman.

kellys not ready for liberty their a much more developed team
Much more developed? Kelly returns 18 starters from last year tops in the area. Kelly has played the tougher schedule by far as well. Liberty returns only 5 starters from a defense that gave up 300 passing yards in the first half last year and led to Dakota Eddins winning the Built Ford Tough player of the week. Typical, that someone who has no idea what he is talking about to get on here with no reasoning what so ever. That being said Kelly still has to improve on the offensive side of the ball and cut down on turnovers. Kelly played extremely well on Defense against Bridge City and look for that to continue. Liberty's QB really played well last year even though their was a great number of drops from his receivers. This should be a great game.
If you consider giving up 21 points well then your crazy being that Liberty has given up 7 all year, yes they have had a weak schedule but Porter is a 4A team with a new QB who is commited to a D1 school so they can't be too bad. And who cares about what the secondary did last year? Huntington, and Hardin threw all over them last year and scored a combined 110 points, but this year a combined 0, the defense has improved greatly, the seniors who left the secondary won't be missed.

Kelly however will be a test for liberty. Gonna be intersting to see how the do.
Yeah, I remembered fanatic saying that Porter wasn't going to be a test, but as for basically everyone else you all said Porter would be, then they got destroyed and now it's because they suck, not to make Liberty seem great for beating them just saying you all said they were descent and now they're not. Oh well, I saw Kelly scrimmage Hardin, and unless they have improved MAJORLY,  Liberty should take this one as well if they can work hard and get better this week.
Yeah so can some of the liberty fans tell me why at halftime yhe score was 7-0 and then they exploded in the second half
Penalties

 9.
Good win Liberty, and way to start the season off strong. The only problem I have with this, is the Panthers have scheduled weak teams to start the season, and haven't really played any good competition! They never scheduled great teams, but I miss playing Bridge City and Hamshire Fannett (which was usually a good game)! But am I the only one who thinks they should start putting them back on the schedule? It can only help seeing as its pre-district! Not taking anything away from the Panthers because they have whipped up on the teams they have played but the Trojans and WOS (come playoffs) are going to be a little bit better than Hardin, and Huntington!
I'm sure they are aware. Liberty has the talent this year to play with those teams, but they have to keep getting better and better every week if they want to beat these playoff teams. They are 3-0 and they have scored 40+ and only allowed 1td in 3 games, but they still have not played to their full potential, but that's fine considering it is only week 3, so as long as they don't get too comfortable with their wins and they keep getting better they should be fine.
 10.
My shop team could beat porter. Really deal? Man up and play someone........Where were all you people last few years? Panther fan is a true fan but the rest of you? Fickle
I've been here, lol and Porter is a 4A team and Liberty is a 3A it't not like we just played a 1A school? And last week everyone was saying how Porter would be "Liberty's first test" now that Liberty beat them easily everyone is saying that they were just terrible lol. And it's Deel not Deal, oh and btw HF until this year has been terrible and up until last season Liberty did have BC, HF and Orangefield on the schedule, but why schedule teams you play in the playoffs? Pointless.
 11.
Townly has more talent than Deberry but does not have near the recivers. Just my opinion.
Debery was faster and a better runner than Townley I doubt Townley puts up the number deberry did or even close
 12. I wish more of the voters would of been at the BC vs Vidor game, maybe another team would of slid into the rankings and BC out.

I have many friends in the community and know several kids on the team.  I hope they have a great season.  Having said that, I fear they may be believing their own hype just a little too much.  They have been impressive so far this season, outscoring opponents 89-0.  Fitzwater has 6 td passes and 0 picks through two games.  I expect them to defeat Porter, but I do expect it to be a little closer then the first two weeks.  Week 3 is when I see their first true test.  Kelly will be strong, they are strong.  Liberty has to remain focused and quit believing that they have already won something.  If they get past Kelly, I feel there is a strong possibility that we could be headed toward a 9-0 Liberty vs a 9-0 Coldspring for the district title in week 10.  That would be great, but I still feel Coldspring is much better than Liberty.
lets remember that post on here are fans opinions and do not necessarily reflect players beliefs..
You and I both know that most of these new Liberty posters are players on the team.  That much has been admitted in other threads.  All I am saying is that they must stay hungry.  Resting on what they have accomplished so far would be a travesty.  They've beaten two teams who might win a combined 5 games this year.  They better keep it in high gear and not start coasting.  They have accomplished nothing.  Lots more work to do.  Keep doing it boys.
Very true...they must stay hungry. They're not used to winning so they naturally don't know how to act.
Maybe the Liberty varsity isn't used to winning, but the class of 2013 at liberty has won in football and basketball since they were in 7th grade, they  didn't go undefeated in district every year but not one same team beat them every year, so this is the first time these kids have racked up a couple of wins.

 15. If we beat Cleveland last year we wouldn't need to "improve" to beat them again? And Huffman comes out 1 year and blows Liberty away and everyone thinks that Huffman is some type of powerhouse that Liberty has never been able to beat? Yes, Liberty needs to keep improving in order to win more than last year, but Huffman needs to improve greatly if they want to even come close to what they were last year.
 16. Always bringing up the past, when we do it yall say let's worry about this season, we compliment our team on this season and now you say well last year against teams with a winning record you sucked lol, obviously for the Liberty Panthers this isn't last season let's hope they stay hungry and not get too comfortable, because if that happens Huffman is in some trouble considering last year you beat kashmere 42-14 and this year you barely squeaked by, last year Hardin and Huntington killed Liberty and this year Liberty blew them out, now who's improving THIS SEASON?
 17. I guess they left Townley out? Because Fitzwater's stats are updated for 2 games here.

BC by 21-0
0 Points Really? Bridge City just gave up 21 points to a team that doesnt have nearly the talent at running back and receiver as Kelly. Kelly will have to play better on the defensive side of the ball this week and has to protect the ball and cut down on penalties, if they can do that it should be a great game to watch.
I've seen Barber and #2 from Vidor both this season, #2 would leave him in a race and he was burning BC to the outside, BC wasn't bad up front just couldn't contain the outside, so I say BC forces Kelly to pass or run to the outside and BC has the athletes to cover, Schrapps is cold though IDK I would say BC 35 Kelly 21

They have a few new kids, with some pretty good speed! With that being said, not a very big team, but the speed can make up for this! Should be fun to watch this year! Congrats Panthers, and Jones isn't the only reciever that opposing D's need to worry about, Williams looked pretty impressive tonight!!!
Don't know how familiar you are with the receivers on Liberty's Team but at any time they can put 5 or 6 receivers on the field that can catch the ball lots of depth in the receiver skills both wide receiver and tight ends
Williams has stepped his game up this year. He's just as much a threat as is Jones to opposing secondaries, you wont see him in the run game like you will Jones, but he is a good WR, I also see #80 the 6ft4 sophomore out there quite a bit, he has 2 touchdowns so far.
