2.

bambam, can't you read I said Shepherd's defense I didn't say anything about there offense taking it to Huffman. Yea he threw for 300 plus yards and most of those yards were in the 4th quarter when Shepherd's defense got tired. Do your homework!! I saw the game. All I am saying is if Huffman doesn't block any better than they did Friday night and find some sort of running game then Coldspring and Cleveland will rake the field with them. Shepherd is not a very good team this year and for them to stay in the game for 3 quarters like they did (with no offense to speak of). It will be a long rest of the Season for Huffman.
Dude you just contradicted yourself. In the first thread you say Huffman is the second best team and better than Cleveland, then your very next post you say they will rake the field with us. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. BTW Huffman didn't have much of a running game last year (although it was better than this year) and it didn't seem to hurt us vs Cleveland or coldspring.
I'm the furthest thing from a Huffman fan, but they will beat Cleveland bad. They can't cover at all. Splendora came out in a the pistol, spread, I, and flex and Cleveland did well at stopping everything but the pass out of the spread. They threw 2 bombs that landed them once on the 5 and once on the 10 both times to turn it over on downs, Cleveland had a good run defense or else they would have lost the game because they could not cover the pass.
 3.

If the Huffman fans would realize that Liberty's secondary is terrible and they only rushed 3 guys so they match up terrible with a passing team, then they would quit writing Liberty off, (not that anyone cares). Liberty's run defense, centered around 300 pound tackle Omar Tebo is not very bad at all. This game should be a blow out if Liberty doesn't come out flat, regardless of whether or not Shepherd comes ready to play, if Liberty comes ready to play they're too much for Shepherd.
Now who is making excuses ::) BTW Huffman had over 100 rushing yards against liberty and only ran for more yards vs Tarkington, so I guess that run D isn't all that special. Let's go shepherd!!!
Darion Gray was shut down throughout the game. He ran the ball 7 times in the last 2 minutes to pad his stats when the Panthers were already out of the game. You all said Tarkington would D Liberty up for a little bit and they didn't now just because Sheperd gave yall problems you think theyll give Liberty problems, they wont.
 4.
were you at the game? obviously not.. if liberty's o played liberty's d they put up 60.. If I remember right, your offense only put up 20 points on Huffman's Defense, I wouldn't say that is burning up the field with offensive productivity. What is Coldspring average scoring point per game 50+. All I am saying is that Liberty is a solid team, but I get on here and read about how great Liberty is. Just be real about it, you are solid, but not in the same league as Coldspring. I think the best you can do in district is 3rd, that is if Cleveland doesn't beat you, So quit telling the world how great you are and go out and prove it.
No one said we were great. We said, Tarkington (the weakest team in 1-3A in texas) would not D us up at all even for a second. And to prove my point I posted our offensive statistics, which are better than the other teams in our district, and yes Liberty had a weak schedule but so did Huffman you had one good team and I went to the game, they weren't the Green Bay Packers.
 5. None of these randoms were at the game, Liberty scored 20, dropped a wide open touchdown, and fumbled the ball 3 times. They also had a 45 yd run called back, and 1 interception ( the 1st legitamate one thrown all year) I know those are all part of the game but at their full potential, yes they are just as good as Huffman's offense. And as far as CS, I just said their offense can compete with theirs, doesn't necessarily mean they can do good against CS defense. This thread is about Tarkington and Liberty and all you randoms were saying Tarkington will D them up when they wont.
 6.
I think Tarkington will surprisingly d up the panthers for a little bit...the panthers have a lot of questions to answer before they start looking ahead to "tougher" opponents!  They might find themselves in a much closer game then they expect!
Hardin beat Tarkington 21-12, Liberty beat Hardin 49-0, quit dreaming, and start being realistic. Liberty has 2289 total yards offensively, Colspring has 2296, and Huffman has 1400, offensively Liberty is just as good as their district championship competitors. If you think for a second that Tarkington is going to D up Liberty for even as far as the opening kick off then your crazy.
 7.

Fitzwater is still better than Townley. Colspring will beat Liberty and Huffman 56-0 and Huffman won't hang with Silsbee and Liberty won't hang with WOS.
Crack kills bro! I love your negativity and ignorance about Huffman football. You obviously were not at the game and viewed this butt kicking. Please do yourself and Liberty fans a favor and quit talking about Huffman football. Fitz is a good QB but he is NOT townly. Look at the game stats! We are looking forward to the meeting with Coldspring but not looking passed Tarkington. Hope your home team even makes the playoffs!
You're right, Fitzwater isn't Townley, he doesn't have near as many interceptions. I saw the game, Huffman was better that night, Fitzwater is still better. What colleges want Townley? I'll bet anything Fitz goes D1. Let's remember he just turned 16 recently.
 8. So don't even say Liberty is lucky that they came this close, Huffman is lucky Liberty couldn't hang on to the football.
 9. 1 interception, 2 fumbles, dropped pass in the endzone, 45 yd run on 3rd and long called back for holding on the backside of the play.
 10. Fitzwater is still better than Townley. Colspring will beat Liberty and Huffman 56-0 and Huffman won't hang with Silsbee and Liberty won't hang with WOS.

Both defensives are gonna have to play at there greatest ability. Huffman is a good team but liberty has proved themselves this year. Going into to district play 4-0, just hope they don't get the bigheads, and they should definently not take Huffman lightly. I'm going with liberty by 2 tds.
DONT TAKE HUFFMAN LIGHTLY?????????????? LIBERTY better strap on their freaking chin straps. Liberty has proven themselves at 4-0 going into district but have not faced the speed and intensity of a Huffman. FYI Huffman is 3-1 and got handled by K park (VERY GOOD 4A TEAM) TWO TD'S???????????? I respect your prediction but aint no way Liberty wins by two TD's. They are going to be lucky to score twice!
Nick Schrapps 6 ft 3 200 from Kelly commited to North Texas for free safety and 6"2 220 linebacker Brantley wilson also from kelly has numerous offers, Liberty has faced some intensity on defense, I watched Huffman play K park and I know K park is better than kelly but Kelly's defense looked alot better than Huffman's, IDK maybe Huffman had a bad game who knows but Liberty scored 30 on Kelly so I would say they score more than that on Huffman

It would be nice to see Huffman move the ball tonight against HF. COMEON DISTRICT. Looking forward to Liberty!
If Smith is on HF could give Huffman some problems. Kelly returns 18 starters from last year tops in the area. Kelly has played the tougher schedule by far as well. Liberty returns only 5 starters from a defense that gave up 300 passing yards in the first half last year and led to Dakota Eddins winning the Built Ford Tough player of the week. Typical, that someone who has no idea what he is talking about to get on here with no reasoning what so ever. That being said Kelly still has to improve on the offensive side of the ball and cut down on turnovers. Kelly played extremely well on Defense against Bridge City and look for that to continue. Liberty's QB really played well last year even though their was a great number of drops from his receivers. This should be a great game.
If you consider giving up 21 points well then your crazy being that Liberty has given up 7 all year, yes they have had a weak schedule but Porter is a 4A team with a new QB who is commited to a D1 school so they can't be too bad. And who cares about what the secondary did last year? Huntington, and Hardin threw all over them last year and scored a combined 110 points, but this year a combined 0, the defense has improved greatly, the seniors who left the secondary won't be missed.
Liberty hasn't faced anyone on par with Matt Menard, Mark Roberts, and Dishon. Kelly only gave up 20 points to liberty and one of those touchdowns was a pick 6. Another touchdown came after Kelly fumbled the ball on its own 30, so yes the defense played extremely well against a QUALITY opponent. Please don't forget that Kelly scrimmaged Hardin and beat them like a drum as well. Also think it's funny that when mr. undeveloped was provided with facts he backed off his opinion pretty quick. Where were these two monster running backs last year?
ok here is my opinion and why... dennis antoine.. 35 att. for 520yds an 4td's.. jordan jones.. 12 att. for 141 and 4td's.. fregia averages 6+yds a carry and fitz averages 7+ oh, and btw the passing game is the strength.. no one is stopping 6'4" wr mosley in the redzone or on deep balls and jones will torch ya'll again just as he did last year.. and williams is greatly improved from last season.. the d will def. not give up more than 21 to kelly, if that.. they've only given up 7 this year and that td only came because of a late hit penalty at the very end against several 2nd stringers and a few starters.. i know that liberty hasn't played any of the lake travis' of the world and i know that liberty isn't great by far, however holding every team scoreless says a lot..liberty will outscore kelly, period. and the d probably won't pitch another shutout, but i find it hard to believe they'll give up more than 21... ya'll beat em by a score last year and they were terrible..
No one is stopping Mosley? Nick Schrapps is a 6'3 200 lb safety who is a North Texas commit. Who do you think is going to win a jump ball. Also, Brandtley Wilson didnt play last year due to an injury. Can u honestly tell me an all state linebacker wouldn't have made a difference in libertys run game? Once again, where was these kids last year, if they are so good, where are their Div. 1 offers. Please don't be ignorant. Kelly beat Hardin so bad they quit half way thru the scrimmage. I can't wait till Kelly beats liberty
aaron mosley is a 6'4" b-ball beast.. btw he's a sophomore an I KNOW he'd win the jump ball hands down!! last year he was an injured freshman.. point? what has schrapps done this season? isn't he playing safety now cuz he got no d-1 offers as a wr? and last time i checked NORTH TEXAS was barely d-1!! is that the best you got? wow.. sun belt conference? and who cares bout this world beater of a lb you refer to.. lets see him stop liberty from hangin 40+.. seriously.. btw melton has offers from colorado, NORTH TEXAS, tulane, utep, utsa.. but he just commited to texas state.. the others are JUST NOW juniors.. guarantee some offers by seasons end. last year head to head comparison when they played each other schrapps 7 rec. 75 yds 0 td's.. Jones 10 rushes 89 yd's  2 td's 5 rec. 84 yds 1 td.. i'm sure they're shaking in their shorts.. haha
Isn't it funny how Kelly people are complentary of alot of the players for Liberty and than you have people like this that come on here and run off at the mouth. I've complemented both the QB and the WR because they are clearly talented. First off, basketball beast? Nick Schrapps was an All State Basketball Player who hung with the big dogs in Houston playing for the Houston Hoops Organization the premier team in Houston. Schrapps has been starting on the defensive side of the ball since he was a freshman, so he has always played defense. He had a scholarship offer from Air Force is the Mountain West more up to the high division 1 standards that Liberty has? He was invited to Syracuse's Junior Day, does the Big East meet your seal of approval? So your telling me that Liberty has 4 to 5 Division 1 players, but they are just now getting playing time? Seems to me Division 1 talents seems to find its way on to the field as Wilson and Schrapps did at Kelly. I didnt realize that Liberty was a Division 1 factory either.
Kelly was winless in district and now you're a division 1 factory lol, Tebo the DT has been getting PT but he was banged up last year so no offers yet but when you see him play you will see it is clear, Melton has offers, Fitz has been invited to several colleges for unofficial visits, and Antoine is only a Sophomore but transfered from Cleveland but he's 6ft 210 and runs a 4.6 and he is also one of the top rushers in SETX, that's 4 didn't say the whole team was going D1.

H-D's defense will get better. I would like to see H-D mix up their pass defense. Also would love to see #73 and #66 play on the offensive line. Very excited about the physical play of #9 on defense for H-D, kid had some big hits and QB pressures. Film will show alot for H-D. H-D 35 Tarkington 14
you still think HD can beat Liberty lol. Get outta here :-* :-* :-* Not this year. Liberty looking really good so far.  But last year, I certainly don't see why not.  Definitely would have been competitive with them.

edwards woulda ran for 5 or 600.. lets be serious.. haha
???  Wow. 5-600 yards!?!? If u really believe what u just said, debating is pointless. That being said: 2010 results - Tarkington - 54 Liberty - 28 Hull Daisetta - 28 Tarkington - 6.
He was obviously being sarcastic, but yes Edwards rushed for 324 against Cleveland who even last year would destroy HD, and on the defensive side of the ball Cleveland had 6-6 DE Cedric Reed who is now playing DE for the University of Texas and saw the field as a true freshmen last week so yes, Edwards (who was hurt in the first quarter after racking up 76 yards against Hardin) would run all over HD last year.

Coldspring and Barbers Hill will win their districts
Coldspring/Liberty and then Dayton, BH won't compete again.
We will see about BH and Dayton later on in the season. As far as Liberty is concerned there is no way they could compete with any of these three schools.Dayton would have nothing but problems with Coldspring.Dayton is not as good as some would speculate.
I didn't say Liberty could guy, and I have seen Dayton and Coldspring I'm not assuming anything it is very clear that Dayton would win this match up do you seriously think a 4A team that goes deep in the playoffs consistently can't beat CS a very small 3A team who went to state last year but never got past 3 rounds previously in recent years? It wasn't long ago when Dayton did the same but in 4A.
What's so big about this Chisholm kid?
Just a very good high school player on both sides of the ball they want the ball in his hands at all times and he is probably their best defensive player as well plays very fast.
Nothing too special, just very fast and in 1A that will get the job done, Tarkington is 3A but they have no speed so he should be able to carry them through this game
Destroy? How so? Pure speculation at best....BTW, there is alot of difference between competing, winning a close game, and destroying a team...
I say that because I've watched Coldspring play 6 years in a row, and I have made at least 2 Dayton games a year for a good 10 years, and yes CS is a VERY good team, but Dayton is on a different level, for instance CS beat WOS 41-36 in 09 and Dayton beat them 28-0 in 2010, Chad Alled DB for Lamar was CS star QB for a few years, well Dayton's star QB was Cody Green QB, Tulsa. A.J Dugat WR Dayton, state record for receptions in a season played at UH, those are the past teams that would have beat them, now if you're referring to this season only, Dayton beat a 5A team in Elkins, so not only are they a local 4A team they are a local 4A powerhouse. They have a Senior QB who took over his Sophomore year and took them deep into the playoffs, along with very many other players, lots of depth, and yes CS is good but being a small 3A they just don't have the depth to play with Dayton.
actually haven't even seen it anywhere myself but heard from a reliable source, they have 2 QBs the one who started against liberty wasn't the one who played the previous games because he was hurt I think he is a senior but I really don't know for certain, he wasn't great obviously (7 points) but I guess you could see how he could be commited to illinios
