I think they make you go online now and pay an inconvenience fee. It seems like just the smaller schools still have tickets at the gate now. I sure miss the days of the $5 dollar bill at the gate.
This is Lake Creek for the 4 seed unless, in that scenario, maybe West Fork beats Lake Creek by 21. That’s not happening.
I can’t see any scenario for Dayton other than win the last 2 games and hope Lake Creek loses to West Fork.
That’s too bad for them. Livingston hasn’t had a great season since back when Chevoski Collins was there. Heck, they beat Huntsville, PNG, and Nederland one year.
I was going to go to Montgomery-PNG, but I understand that game is going to be a blowout. So, I’ll probably go to Nederland-Huntsville. Rather see a closer game.
Points is fine. I’m speaking specifically for a 3 way tie when 2 teams must advance. I don’t like reverting to head and head after the first tiebreaker. If A beats B by 18, then B also goes because they would have won the head to head with C.
for example:
A > B = 18, B > C = 4, C > A = 10.
Total point diff would be A = 8, B = -14, C = 6.
But, A and B advance.
“But, some districts only use this system to break three way tie. Once it's broken to determine top seed, then it goes to head to head for the remaining two teams. “
So, basically the team most blown out (loses by the largest margin) gets the next seed. And that’s why that tiebreaker doesn’t work and shouldn’t be used.
Huntsville had 3 of their 4 team captains miss the Dayton game due to injury. The PNG and Montgomery games were rough for team health. The top RB and the top CB are back though. I’ll take Huntsville 37-21.
