If Dayton beats Lake Creek, then they almost guarantee Top 4 finish.

2 of the 5 non playoff teams in this district will actually make the playoffs. Both teams played weak non district schedules. I have more confidence in Trinity in this one.

Montgomery Bears will win.

Huntsville pass D is overall pretty good but they have definitely given up a few big plays. Last year this game was considered a toss-up, but this year, not so much. PNG has widened the gap from the rest of the District.

Gotta be a tough job coming up with high school point spreads.

Big game for sure. Most of us agree on the top 3 in this district. Winner here could be the 4th playoff team. Should be a good one.

Incredible game at Cy Fair. Devon Achane!!! Hornets had them but a 4th and 12 trick play went for a TD for the game winner. Coach Southerns son was the Huntsville QB. Huntsville definitely could have won State that year.

I think this one will be a close game. I won’t be surprised if Ned gets the win.

Huntsville has the talent to win, but they won’t. The West Fork game was an ugly win as the Hornets just couldn’t put the game away until late. The defense was good. It was mostly 3 and outs for WF except for about 3 big plays that kept them in it. On offense, the Hornets could have run at will all night, but kept trying to throw, which they aren’t very good at. I guess they were trying to work on that passing game. Throw in all the holding penalties and 15 yard stupid penalties and now you somehow have a sort of close game. PNG will not beat themselves, so I’ll take the Indians 35-17. I still think Huntsville will be good enough to finish 2nd in the District.

Interesting that the Astros have hit 8 HR’s in the 2 games since being eliminated. Where was all that offense when we needed it?

Yea that D-Line for Huntsville between 2017-2020 was one of the best.

Yea, best scenario is Astros sweep Angels and Red Sox beat Detroit 2 out of 3.

Detroit and Houston are competing to see who can lose the most games this week and still make the playoffs.

This team is just limping to the finish line. I don’t see how they would win a playoff series if they can even get in.

I mean they are playing Splendora. It would be hard not to score 24.

Well since Ned can’t score, we can’t say 63-12 like last year. I’ll call for an offensive breakout and take Ned 24-0.

Houston also has the disadvantage of not having the tiebreaker against anyone. They are only 29-37 since July 7. A 5-1 finish should get them in for sure. Good chance at 4-2. But that ridiculous 4 game sweep by Oakland in late July sure looms large. Astros are almost as painful to watch as the Texans right now.

What’s crazy is literally nobody in the AL had clinched a playoff spot until yesterday. Toronto is finally in. 6 games to go. 6 teams trying to get 5 spots.

Dayton should about have a playoff berth wrapped up in 11-5A D1 as they have started 3-0 in that district. Now they switch to 8-5A D2. This will be the best game in the District this week. Montgomery is considered to be a playoff team. Dayton? They were picked 6th, but they sure look like a playoff team. I think the game could go either way, but I’ll ride with the hot team and take Dayton at home in a close game.

West Fork is improved this year as their entire team returns. However, I don’t think this game will be particularly close. I’ll take Huntsville 38-7.
