This will be Silsbee's 6th regional final in last 7 years and 11th in last 17 seasons. Huffman's first ever regional final. This will be a very tough game to predict.

Some of it has to do with the fact that Kountze ISD has been very poor rated financially and academically for several years now. Lot's of turmoil going on there these days.

Connally has the size and strength inside to give Silsbee lot's of problems. Rebounding will be a priority. Silsbee's guard play will have to dictate the tempo. Silsbee will also need to hit FT's.

Correct. The 4 teams involved all agreed to have one site for the regional semifinals and finals. All games will be held at Madisonville High School. Friday at 6:00pm- (16) Academy v. (7) New Waverly Friday at 8:00pm- (14) Lorena v. (11) East Chambers. Winners will play Saturday at 1:00pm for the regional finals.

This makes 7 straight years that Silsbee has made it to the regional tourney (regional semis, 4th rd) and 13 of the last 17 years (failed to make regional tourney in 2006, 2011, 2013, 2014). With a win Tuesday, the Tigers will be playing for the regional championship for the 11th time in the past 17 seasons. (won it in 2008, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018; lost in 2005, 2007, 2012, 2015, 2019) I admit, I didn't think this year's team would continue that streak.
