  1. I was at the HJ scrimmage. Kountze had 24 on varsity. About 18 on JV.
  2. But I don't think that has anything to do with eligibility. I think that is in general. I could be wrong. That reads as if the player has a choice as to play both or simply chooses to play down. If he is ruled ineligible, he has no choice other than going back to Brenham.
  3. Don't recall any kicking done at the scrimmage.
  4. I'm going with the Stangs in this one. 28-20.
  5. What article? I honestly don't think All-State has anything to do with eligibility and playing JV. That would be news to me.
  6. Correction, if he is ruled ineligible, he would still have the choice of going back to Brenham and playing varsity.
  7. I have seen former varsity players at one school have to play JV at their transfer school. Didn't matter if they were all state or not.
  8. If he wants to play, that will be his only choice if ruled ineligible.
  9. Well I've won it 4 times so "been there, done that". lol Really do appreciate you taking this over. Keeping the site tradition going.
  10. Astros facing Orioles ace in Trevor Rogers. Rogers 6-2 with a 1.41 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, 67 K's and just 16 BB's in 76 innings pitched. Arrighetti on the mound for Houston.
  11. West Brook is 5A DI
  12. If it's ruled he moved for athletic reasons (which this clearly is), then residency won't matter. He will have to sit a year. I agree, after the DEC rules him ineligible, I can see them appealing it to SEC.
  13. Give me Kountze by 9 17-8
  14. First time in 8 years I finished outside the top 5. Slippin in my old age.
  15. Maybe because academics is what school is for. Sports is extracurricular and not mandatory. It's a privilege, not a right. Most do not want school choice. Sports is not part of the curriculum. It's extra. One can go thru K-12 without playing any sports and graduate.. One cannot do that without taking some English or math class. That's the difference.
  16. Astros with the 9-8 win. Abreu with the save. Blubaugh gets the win and deservedly so.
  17. Got to give Blubaugh some credit. He has eaten up some valuable innings for a depleted Astro bullpen. Gone 4 innings tonight, giving up just 2 runs on three hits, 4 K's, 1 BB.
  18. Walker with a 2 run HR in top of 7th. Houston's 4th HR of game (3rd two run bomb) Astros up 9-7, middle 7th.
  19. PN-G won by 3 TD's last year (39-17) Give me the Indians, 28-21.
  20. Houston pitching staff (three pitchers) have thrown 117 pitches in just 5 innings. 69 were strikes.
  21. De Los Santos has come in for Javier. Javier only went two innings. Not good.
  22. Javier with 65 pitches thru 2 innings. Looks like he won't last past the 4th. 5-5 after two.
  23. Javier not looking any better. Given up 3 runs, 2 hits and 3 BB in the first 9 hitters he has faced.
