  1. Players mother is employed at HJISD. He transferred before the assistant landed a job at HJ.
  2. Orangefield at Silsbee scrimmage has been moved up to 6:30 and not 7pm.
  3. Word I am getting is that Sabine Pass is canceling all their non-district games but hopes to be able to field a team for district games. High Island is indeed canceling their season but will play a Middle School season. @Bigdog @Matthew328
  4. Thanks Bigdog!! Much appreciated!
  5. Both Sabine Pass and High Island struggled to finish the season last year. Looks like that carried over to this season.
  6. Only 10 showed up for practice Monday.
  7. Astros lose 7-2. Framber ended up going 5 innings. Gave up 6 in the first, 1 in the 2nd. Mariners lost as well so Houston still up 1 1/2.
  8. Inning finally over. 6-0 Tigers. Framber may not last 4 innings. Was a 33 pitch first inning for him.
  9. Trammell is injured and being replaced in CF by Melton.
  10. Well this wasn't the start we needed. Framber has given up 5 runs on 3 hits, walked 3 and has yet to get a batter out in the first inning.
  11. And I predict it will be 14 straight titles and 85 game streak at the end of the regular season.
  12. I believe you posted this in the wrong thread. This thread is about their 4A/3A podcast.
  13. I am pretty confident there will be. Three teams make wild card. Currently, Seattle is behind only the Yankees (1 game) and tied with the Red Sox. They have a 2 1/2 game lead over the Royals and 3 1/2 game lead over Cleveland. Therefore, Houston currently has a 1/2 game lead over Yankees, 1 1/2 over Boston, 4 games over KC and 5 games over Cleveland. I don't see KC or Cleveland or Tampa Bay or Texas over taking any of the two for a wild card spot. 36 games left to play, so lot's can happen and the trend of late isn't good but I believe Houston will make playoffs as division winner or wild card.
  14. Saw this statement on X. I tend to agree with it. About time to relieve the stress and just see how the Astros baseball season is going to wind up--good or bad--and accept their fate. Injuries have decimated and the long season has ground them down
  15. If you know of any Thursday scrimmages being moved to Friday because of the weather, please post here. Thanks
  16. Is this based on killings per capita or just total annual?
  17. Astros lose 1-0 on a two out bases loaded walk. smh
  18. Houston and Detroit headed to extras tied 0-0.
  19. Would be the 2nd time in about 6 years that TEA took over BISD.
  20. Same here. I made that statement then realized that they can't play 6-Man because of their enrollment. You can opt up, but not down. Hull-Daisetta opted up this past realignment to stay playing 11-Man football. They could have played 6-Man due to having 101 enrollment. They are 2A DII for football but 1A for all other sports. If SP continues to struggle getting football numbers on a consistent basis, then the suggestion to just drop football all together may be the best option. Just be a basketball/baseball school like several schools in our area are with those type numbers.
  21. Hearing some Thursday scrimmages will be moved to Friday due to the weather. Stay tuned
  22. Could be having an enrollment to enable one to play 6-Man. Pretty sure that would eliminate SP. I wasn't really thinking enrollment so my comment about them playing 6-Man is probably out of their control.
