  1. Kirbyville will not be moving up to 3A unless the UIL really drops the 3A bottom number. I personally spoke to Alvarez at Silsbee's scrimmage and he told me that they have dropped a few since the last realignment. I have a real good friend who is the offensive line coach for Kirbyville and he told me this summer that they had dropped in enrollment. Kirbyville will remain 2A.

  4. Silsbee travels across Village Creek to take on their neighbors the Lumberton Raiders. This is the 21st meeting between these two schools, with Silsbee leading the overall series 15-5. Lumberton has won 4 of the last 5 though. They have not played each other since '03 with Silsbee's last win coming in 2000. This game also has two of the area's finest players in Lumberton's Anthony Beard and Silsbee's Jeremy Johnson, both highly touted and heavily recruited players. This should be a lot of fun!! Broadcast time will be 7:10 with kickoff to follow at 7:30. Just click the link provided in this thread and listen in to some great high school football action. Silsbee vs. Lumberton, Village Creek Classic!!! Only hear it at SETXsports.com!!! Mike Sanchez, Setxsports.com broadcaster [Hidden Content]
  5. Uh, last year. HF beat OF 27-21 last year.
  6. I spoke to Chris's dad Tuesday night. He told me that Chris only has 20 players suited out for varsity. It's tough to get those kids to come out for football. Hopefully he'll have some success there.
  7. BTW, Spurger is a good team. They really played well and hung with the big boys at the Silsbee summer tourney. They should not be compared to High Island.
  8. That is correct. Spurger visits the Tiger Den this year. It's the very first time these two teams have ever played. Well, at least both varsitys. Silsbee's JV played Spurger's varsity once, way back in 1980. Final score, Silsbee 122 Spurger 32. I know, I played on that JV team that year. ;D
  9. You will see, they have grown.
  10. The internet broadcasts on this site are on our frontpage. The radio games are as follows: KOGT Bridge City vs. LCM KLVI Nederland vs. Waller Cool 92.5 PNG vs. Texas City TV Fox 4 East Chambers vs. Hamshire-Fannett The U Nederland vs. Waller
  11. You don't know who is D1 or D2 until the playoffs. The largest school in the district that MAKES the PLAYOFFS is D1. Correction, the TWO largest schools out of the four that qualify for the playoffs, go Div. I.
  12. It is great that these guys give their time to charity. One thing does shock me about all this. Why hasn't DV been on here bragging about knowing about this and talking about how he was down there rubbing elbows with Shaq and the gang? ;D
  13. Gloating over injuries? Not cool, IMHO. It's my understanding that there is more issues at HF other than injuries.
  14. This is THE website! Oh, and Silsbee dominates!!! ;D
  15. You cant pay any attention to that guy all he does is write stupid comments on here ALWAYS LTrain, you refering to me?
  16. This is crazy. Obviously know one knows for sure what the outcome would have been if Bradford had not gotten hurt. But to just totally discard the fact that a team lost it's Heisman trophy winning QB, one that will go higher in the draft than both Teebow and McCoy, and replace him with a redshirt freshman, is just plain ridiculous. That there my friends is not showing good football sense. OU does have some line problems, but losing Bradford was a terrible blow to them in that game. Even the BYU coaches and players acknowledged that fact. I believe that BYU will show that they are a legit team over the course of the rest of the season and this loss will not be as devasting to OU as it looks now.
