Also, Ashly set the school record in 200 meters with her 25.1 time at Regionals. The 4X200 will be going to state also!! Ashly will be participating in 4 events: High Jump 200 Meters 4X100 relay 4X200 relay

The #10 Silsbee Tigers will take on the Splendora Wildcats in the Bi-District round of the Class 3A playoffs, TONIGHT 7pm at Barbers Hill High School. Silsbee (18-4-2) is the runner up of 21-3A after defeating Hamshire-Fannett last Friday, 6-5. Splendora (17-8) finished district in a tie with Coldspring but lost to them in a seeding game this past Saturday and will represent 22-3A as their #3 seed. The winner of this game will face Bellville, district champ of 23-3A, in the Area round next week. Broadcast will start at 6:50pm with first pitch to follow at 7pm. Congrats Silsbee Lady Tiger track team. Finished second overall in Region III meet with 62 points behind Waco Connally's 70. Silsbee Lady Tigers will send their 4X100 relay team, and Ashly Johnson in high jump and 200 meters to state. Also, the Lady Tiger 4X200 relay could possibly go if they have the fastest non-qualifying time out of the rest of the regions. They finished 3rd just .03  behind 2nd place finisher.

I thought the parents of the "chosen ones" at HF were making the decisions for the basketball team? They must have other things going on this weekend. ;)

The #10 Silsbee Tigers will travel down to Hamshire-Fannett to take on the Longhorns at The Box at HF High School, TONIGHT at 7pm, in the final 21-3A district game of the year. Silsbee (17-4-2, 6-3) defeated WOS last Thursday, 10-2, to position themselves for a playoff spot. The Longhorns (14-11, 6-3) lost to Bridge City, 11-1, to fall into a 2nd place tie with Silsbee. The winner of this game will clinch at least the 2nd seed and could possibly get a co-district championship with a BC loss. The loser will either get the 3rd seed outright or will have to play Orangefield in a play in game if the Bobcats can defeat BC. Hamshire-Fannett beat Silsbee 9-0 in the first half of district play.
