Paredes might be done for the year. At least two more months. By that time, teams are allowed to expand their rosters. I can see him splitting time at first with Walker and getting some DH time if Alvarez isn't back or when Alvarez plays leftfield.
Bottom line, Houston desperately needs a left handed batter in the lineup.
Yep.
Baytown Lee is the only team in that district that we normally covered in the past.
We don't cover districts unless 3 or more of our "core" teams or past coverage teams are in those districts. Not just one team.
Line has to be drawn somewhere. Realignment sometimes has us lose a team or two that we have normally covered or add some teams that we haven't normally covered in the past.
We try to keep to districts and not individual team coverage.
But that doesn't mean that somebody can't post about Baytown Lee and it's district being that Lee is a team we used to cover.
By all means, have at it.
Houston with another loss. 2-1 to Nationals.
Astro pitching gave up 2 runs on 4 hits and recorded 19 K's.
Astro hitting has really fallen off the last 10 games but mainly because 4-5 of the hitting lineup are minor leaguers.
#Astros have reinstated OF Jacob Melton from IL and DFA'd 1B/DH Jon Singleton IF Luis Guillorme has cleared waivers and been outrighted off the 40-man roster. He has chosen Free Agency.
I went and took a look at their political forum. I came away with the fact that they have their on "reagan" in the KirtFalcon dude. lol
They also have someone who seems to have been kicked to the curb but has comeback under other usernames like a former member here.
With this loss, the Astros are now 5-11 in their last 16 games. They are officially in a slump. Particularly at home. Houston has now lost 9 of their last 10 games at home.
Doesn't help that basically half their lineup and half their starting pitching are minor leaguers. All those injuries are now catching up to them. Need to get healthy soon.
That 8th grade kid is something special. Next football star at Silsbee.
Don't think he is ready for Friday night 7:30 ball just yet. Particularly at RB.
As you stated, might see him late in the year.
Ready to be told by the resident Debby Downer of how many Astro players need to be released and that "if" they continue to play like this ONE game they will miss the playoffs.
The Astros put pitcher Brandon Walter on the injured list with left elbow inflammation. They now have a major-league high 18 players on the IL
Brandon Walter had a 3.35 ERA across 53.2 innings and nine starts for the Astros. He'd gone at least six innings and allowed two or fewer earned runs in six of those starts. A consequential loss.
