2.
Gotta hand it to you AggiesAreWe; you do liven topics up with your predictable and boring remarks.
I think you are the first person to use the words "liven" and "boring" in the same sentence. ::) Just how does someone "liven" things up by being "boring"? ;)
 3. 77 today, finished +18 for the four rounds. Yep, he is a hack!!!!!
 4.
I heard he is called the "King of Caney Head"   LOL
You heard. ::) To quote Captain Jack Sparrow, "But you have heard of me". ;) ;D I'll take Caney Head any day over....... well you know. ;)
 5.
Dont waste your breath East Tx what do you expect from someone who lives in silsbee and pulls for a&m
You expect greatness when you combine the two. ;D
 6.
Yep, they dominated all last year also   LOL  But don't give up!   :)
Was Saturday's warmups last year? ::) Were you at Saturday's warmups? ::) Such a 2%'er.
 7. From what I saw that night (morning, whatever you want to call it ;D) the Rebel defense will be the strength of this team. It will take a very good offense to score on this defense. Evadale ain't too shabby on offense neither. ;) Got'em a good QB, good RB and a solid offensive line. When you can play Tanner and Stark at the TE positions and not on the o-line, you are way ahead of the curb IMO.
 8. Correction! Silsbee's multi-sport athletes totally dominated!! ;)
 9. Silsbee totally dominated these scrimmages!!!
 10. Silsbee totally dominated!!!!
 11. I think it can officially be said now. Tiger Woods is a hack!!!! ;D
 12.
where will this be played?
To Kirbyville's benefit, on a football field and not a basketball court. ;D
 13. [Hidden Content] I also want to take this post in wishing Enterprise sports writer Ryan Clark best of luck in his new job. Today is Ryan's last day at the Enterprise as he is moving to Fargo, ND to work at a paper up there. This is Ryan's last story for the BE. Good luck Ryan, we'll miss you. Keep in touch.

Haven't seen anything on the news about it though.
LOL.  You really think he was joking.
Who was joking? You certainly can't be speaking of me. Me, joke? Never!! ;D
 15.

How come Betrayed sometimes writes like and adult that has some command of the English language and sometimes he writes like an illterate 3rd grader?? I can't even understand what he's talking about sometimes. And again he obviously doesn't know where half of the guys he's talking about actually live.
Betrayed is grasping at straws.  He wants to discredit coaching staff and suggest that "his buddies" are the only reason HJ has had success.  The best team ever at HJ was the 91 state champs and it had little if anything to do with being from "across the tracks".  In his weak attempt to discredit HJ  - he goes back and finds one game that they lost and hammers on it,  Bottom line, personal disagreement with who plays now and who played in the past.  He doesnt believe that the coaching staff is better quallified than he is to determine who plays now or some years ago.( can you say personal axe to grind?)  People who believe that are a dime a dozen. Nobody needs to take my word for it.  Investigate for yourself.  If you look at the coaching record of Sutherland, Lee and Davis at schools other than HJ, you will find a degree of success equal to or greater than what has taken place at HJ.  Therefore, "the players from across the tracks" are NOT the reason for the success of the coaching staff.  As someone else already said, facts dont lie and the fact is that each of these coaches were hugely successful as head coaches at other schools.  There is no way Betrayed can alter that fact.
AMEN!!!! (to counter this post would be futile)
Look me up Aggie.  I'll be in the pressbox with Yeller.
I'll come up after I take some snapshots (these will not get photoshopped  ;D) down on the field.

The angle of the "I" doesn't fit in with the corresponding background slant and you can see the black line around the box (Yes, the I is actually a small box). Also the color of the I is white and doesn't match the other letters.
WOW!!!! You don't say. ::) Do you actually think that vandals would be able to get the "I" to perfectly match the other letters, for them to have the exact same color, and align it perfectly while hanging from the rooftop of the pressbox? ;D
I'm just surprised that your "buddy" didn't tell you it was modified when he gave it to you.
You're surprised? I may lose a buddy over this. ;D

 21. August 2, 2010 Mustangs hit the field to start season Van Wade The Orange Leader WEST ORANGE — Football practice finally rolls around and what was waiting on the players - just one of the hottest days of the year. Though all of the local schools kicked off their 2010 campaign in the early morning hours, temperatures had reached the mid-90s by 11 a.m. Over at West Orange-Stark, it was business as usual for the Mustangs as they accomplished the Mustang Mile, hit the weight room and then battled the heat by running up the stands at Hooks Stadium. It was just another day at the office for long-time Mustang coach Dan Hooks, entering his 30th season as the head man in Mustang Country. “Thirty years, man, the years have flown by,” said Hooks, who owns a 269-68-2 mark in charge of the Mustangs. “We’ve seen a lot of faces come and go but this day, it’s always exciting. You get that little summer break but this day is always on the back of your mind for the coaches and the kids. We’re excited about kicking off another year.” Over the years, more challenges have awaited coaching staffs on that first day. “Years ago, you didn’t have to worry about the conditioning part of it so much because kids would always be outdoors all summer doing all kinds of stuff,” said Hooks. “The last few years, kids these days, they like to stay indoors a whole lot more, which means they come in out of shape. They know who they are and you can tell who they are in the first 30 minutes. We know we’re not the only ones in that boat and everybody will get there in the next couple weeks.” One thing for certain, the Mustangs will be put under fire in their two scrimmages and non-district schedule before the District 20-4A campaign rolls around Oct. 8 at Hamshire-Fannett. The Mustangs will visit Dayton Saturday, Aug. 14 with the freshmen starting at 5 p.m. followed by the JV (6 p.m.) and varsity (7 p.m.). WO-S will host Vidor Thursday, Aug. 19 at Hooks Stadium with the freshmen starting at 5 p.m. followed by the JV (6 p.m.) and varsity (7 p.m.). “That will definitely test us early,” said Hooks. “We’ve had some great battles with Dayton over the years that have really helped both programs to get the season going. Vidor, they’re always big and physical and they got after us last year. We really couldn’t have asked for two better scrimmages.” After that, the Mustangs dive into arguably one of the toughest non-district schedules in the state, especially on the 3A level. WO-S opens the season on the road against old 4A rival Nederland Aug. 27. Then its off to Friendswood to face a 4A program that made it to the Region III Finals a year ago on Sept. 3. After a week break, the Mustangs welcome old nemesis Jasper to Hooks Stadium (Sept. 17). Next up will be 3A power Giddings Sept. 25 in Conroe and WO-S will wrap up their non-district slate with Kirbyville Oct 2 at home. Kirbyville has been the state runnerup in Class 2A Division I the last two seasons before moving back up to 3A this year. “By far, this is probably the toughest schedule we’ve ever faced,” said Hooks. “The 2000 schedule (the year the Mustangs went 15-1 and were state 4A runnerups) was pretty close. But heck, we still had close to 1,000 kids in school then. Now, we have under 700, playing schools like Nederland and Friendswood. One thing about our kids though, they always like challenges. Hopefully we’ll come out of all of this healthy and with some quality winds under our belt going into district.” Over at Little Cypress-Mauriceville, the Bears look to improve on their 4-6 mark last season in Coach Randy Crouch’s first year. LC-M has two road scrimmages set. The Bears will face Brazoswood at Deer Park Stadium Saturday, Aug. 14 with the freshmen starting at 5 p.m. followed by the JV (6 p.m.) and the varsity (7 p.m.). LC-M will then venture to Silsbee Thursday, Aug. 19 with the freshmen starting at 5 p.m. followed by the JV (6 p.m.) and the varsity (7 p.m.). LC-M will be the first Orange County team to start the season as the Bears will take on Goose Creek Memorial Thursday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. at Baytown’s Stallworth Stadium. The Vidor Pirates, who made the playoffs out of 20-4A last year with a 7-4 finish, scrimmage the Orangefield Bobcats at 9 a.m. August 14 and then face the WO-S Mustangs at 6 p.m. Aug. 19. The Bridge City Cardinals, who made the playoffs as the third-place squad out of District 21-3A last year with a 7-4 mark, will scrimmage at home against Lumberton Aug. 14 with the freshmen and JV starting at 9 a.m. followed by the varsity at 10 a.m.  Bridge City will then venture to Jasper for a scrimmage Aug. 19 with the time yet to be determined. Bridge City will open its 2010 campaign at home Aug. 27 against Shepherd. The Orangefield Bobcats, 4-6 a year ago in Coach Brian Huckabay’s first season, scrimmages Vidor at 9 a.m. Aug. 14 and Huffman Aug. 19 with the location and time to be determined. The Deweyville Pirates will look to improve on their 1-9 season a year ago. The Pirates will scrimmage at Hamshire-Fannett Aug. 14 at 11 a.m. and will host Buna in a scrimmage Aug. 20. Deweyville will open its season Aug. 27 at home against Sabine Pass.
Nope. I saw the date on the original pic from the digital camera. It was 8-4-10.
BadMedicine states that he passes by there every day.  Just to be on the safe side, I'll be passing by there in a couple of hours...
I don't memorize the construction progress, but it seems further along than that picture indicates.  However, I don't see how anyone could change the letter without a lift,  its too high.  So I think it is photoshopped, but if it is not photoshopped we will know, BISD will call a special emergency board meeting to approve the installation of 25 video cameras pointed at the sign.
Trust me, the pic says a thousand words. (I mean as far as the construction is concerned) ;D
